Really tasty Neapolitan style crust with good quality ingredients. The crust wasn't sturdy enough but to flop, but I've seen that with Neapolitan crust a lot. The crust definitely couldn't support the meatball topping I got on half, but it was still worth it to get them. The Meatballs were outstanding. I tried a focaccia slice with pepperoni. It was tasty, but it's not for me. I would definitely come back and try to dine in. It's a great location and the staff are nice.

Great place! I got a promotion card in the mail so I tired out pizza place. Good pizza! Free parking on the road, easy to pick and go. You can order your pizza and sit inside or dine outside on patio. Very chill and safe location. TVs inside and outside. Beers and drinks to purchase. The star of the show is the garlic bread. Other note: pizza has 2 different bread styles. Thin or thick. I did thin but I’m curious what thick taste like. Staff is very friendly and professional. Great group working. 16 inch cheese pizza was $19 They have cheaper and more options.

Definitely one of the top pizzas I have tried in the city. Opted for the NY style thin crust with capicola, peppadew and garlic confit. Every element of this was outstanding. Perfectly crispy crust, quality toppings in a great combination and a thin crust that helps the toppings, cheese and sauce shine. Ask for Parmesan and red chili flakes otw out and you have the perfect meal. Update: the Bonita Apple yum is the best pizza in the city and must be made a permanent menu item!!! Goat cheese, bacon, pinky lady apples, mikes hot honey, toasted pecans and caramelized onions were a dream come true on top of a pizza.

We absolutely loved our visit to Zepeddies! 🍕 Their vegetarian menu is one of the best in Charlotte — so many great options to choose from. We tried the Bruschetta, Veggie Sandwich, Eggplant Parm Sandwich, Margherita Pizza, Arugula Pizza, and finished with their Canolis — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The pizzas were light yet packed with flavor, and the sandwiches were hearty and satisfying. The staff was super friendly, and the cozy vibe made it even better. High hopes were held for this visit after hearing positive things, and the initial impression was excellent – the restaurant was clean, smelled wonderful, and had a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the dining experience was let down by issues with the food. The bread for the meatball sandwich was tough and dense, to the point of being inedible, and the meatballs were deconstructed and eaten alone.. The pizzas ordered all had an excess of flour caked onto the bottom, which, while an easy fix, detracts from the dish. Furthermore, the pizzas had burnt outer crusts but were undercooked and doughy in the center. The focaccia also suffered from being burnt on the bottom, resulting in a hard and sticky texture that seemed stale. Overall, the food was quite disappointing despite the positive initial impression of the restaurant itself.

It was okay, the crust was good, but for me it all lacked flavor. I definitely like the cheese to sauce ratio, but a little bland. My review is solely based on a cheese pizza, that specifically ordered extra Krispy. I saw some other tasty things in e menu that might be great. The staff was pleasant, and nice little seating area inside and out. Parking was easy.

The July specialty peach pizza is incredible - definitely worth trying. I wasn’t a big fan of the duck fat chicken wings, but everything else was great. The staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was awesome, and there’s a great variety of drinks and menu options.

These people bent over backwards when doordash just screwed up. We're from Winston Salem and I expected to get in a little later. Place order at 5ish for 700 delivery. For there way faster and asked for a delivery time of fire we're ready when you are with a call to the Zepesdies. No problems right? Doordash wouldn't respond and.screwed it all up. Pizza place adjusted the order for us so it came super hot and fresh. Absolutely delicious. Focaccia slice with fennel sausage, meatball, Parm, arugula pesto drizzle 10 wings, double cooked, all flats, grandmas sweet sauce on five, buffalo on 5, bleu cheese with extra celery. Highly recommend! We are brining our boys down and this is to only pizza we will be getting from now on after trying a few other places already.

We were staying at an AirBnb nearby, but some of our party was arriving late and we didn't have a dinner plan. It made sense to find a local place on Uber Eats vs some chain pizza place and that worked for everyone. We order a Caesar salad to share, an order of mozzarella sticks, a large pepperoni pizza, and a large sausage pizza. For a random pizza place, we were impressed with everything we got. The Caesar had real shaved parm on top and was a good size for sharing. The mozzarella sticks only had four pieces, but they were massive. Then the pizzas had great flavor and and a delicious thin crust. We kept picking on everything until it was gone. It was an easy but delicious dinner for a group of adults.

When I first moved to Charlotte in the 80s the best pizza to be found, probably, was Godfather's. We had only chains and, for a splurge, Luisa's. Now, somehow, we have every kind of pizza under the sun available in the Queen City (except Chicago style, RIP Rosatti's, but that's more pizza casserole anyway). I have tried most varieties but always seem to go back to a good slice of NY style. Fold it in half and munch away. Zeppedie's in LoSo seemed to be in that category, and I was craving pie all week, so I got a takeout pizza with meatballs and onions so I would have enough for leftovers. The sauce caught my attention first. It's got a bite to it and is absolutely and clearly handcrafted. Like you could taste the fresh tomatoes and seasonings. The crust was a bit chewy and a bit crispy, as a NY style slice should be and fresh as heck. The meatball and onions toppings were tasty, but as others have noted they were a little sparser than I'd have liked. The meatballs themselves were loosely put together, so the slices had what tasted like a pinch or two of well-seasoned hamburger. It's what caused me to knock off one star. I didn't really wanna but there we are. I normally get just plain cheese, and I suspect I would have been happier with the result. I'm a basic girl. So consider this review 4.5 stars, especially since I appreciate a place that lets you specify the level of doneness for your pizza. Definitely going to try it again and definitely recommend. Excellent entry to LoSo and our side of town in general.

Easy 5 stars. The Thick Crust pizza is amazing, the focaccia bread is top quality and they load up the ingredients - highly recommend the Napolitano. I also ordered a couple flavors of wings - Lemon Pepper and Habanero Fanta Fire. Both were great. They're not lying about the Habanero ones being 17.5/10 on the spicy scale haha they were extremely hot but tasted really good. My mouth only hurt temporarily, but it was intense while it lasted. Exactly what I was hoping for lol

We actually were at Lower Left Brewing next-door, but I ended up ordering the Italian sandwich from Zepeddie's and found it to be very good. The top of the bun was a little different, but the sandwich as a whole was quite tasty.

Food was pretty good. We ordered the big gabagool for Mr S and I and a half cheese/half pepperoni for Little S and his friend. The sauce on the half and half could have used a little more flavor for my taste but the kids liked it a lot.

Great local pizza spot in lower Southend of Charlotte!!! Definitely a spot you gotta try!!!

We travel well out of our way to make this stop happen, don't get here often but it doesn't matter because the food is consistently delicious.... The employees are great and talkative, willing to help with anything from answering questions to making suggestions. Never had a bad meal, my only complaint would be overeating! Can't wait to get back to Zepeddie's Keep up the good work.....

I live in the loso neighborhood and got a postcard in the mail promoting a deal to get a large pizza with a free cannoli and garlic knots. I had asked for a pepperoni pizza and was given a cheese which is okay. It still was good but likely will not be my go to pizza shop in the area based on the price. I feel like it is a little too pricy for a basic pizza. Overall the food was good. I wish the parking situation was a bit better or there were 2-3 carry away spots.

Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza (4/5): Good flavors with special sauce and pickles. I really liked the finely shredded lettuce. Couldn't taste the bacon at all and only got a hint of the burger meat. Big Gabagool Pizza (3/5): The dough was pretty good, but the amount of sauce and toppings made it really soggy. The sauce was more marinara sauce than pizza sauce. Tasted like I was eating a meatball sub which isn't what I really want from a pizza. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

I'm not one to throw five stars around Willy Nilly. Today I finally got to visit this establishment. Very small with a lovely vibe. I was happy to see actual ovens being used. I'm not a fan of the conveyor belt oven. I ordered a plain cheese pie and a meatball Stromboli. I'm happy to report the taste of both was excellent. The quality of the ingredients had me impressed. I would definitely recommend stopping here. I hope they survive the revolving door of restaurants here in charlotte. Good luck guys. Well done!

I am a pizza snob. I was on vacation and chose this restaurant based on reviews. I can happily say, it was one of the best pizza's I have ever had. Italian, perfectly cooked, right amount of everything. Sooo good!

Zepeddie's Pizzeria is a great addition to the Charlotte food scene. They were closed for over a decade and have finally come back. While the food is affordable, they don't sacrifice quality or skimp on flavor. Even their gluten-free meatballs are fantastic - they use oats to bind them, keeping them light. My favorites were the crispy mozzarella stix and the Big Gabagool pizza which is their version of a meat lovers pie. It even has capicola! They also serve local beers in the freezer so I love their willingness to support local vendors. Service was exceptional. Even when I sat down to eat my pizza and forgot my plate, a team member brought me one - it's the little details that matter. Parking is ample on the street. And the overall vibe of the restaurant is quaint. It's a great place for takeout or to grab have a casual bite inside at one of their few indoor tables, sitting at the laptop bar, or even outside on the patio.

The Bad: So I'm not a fan of this thick crust pizza. The bread to toppings ratio is waaaaaaay off. You could split the bread in half and it still would be considered a thick crust pizza. As you can see, the outer pieces barely have toppings on it. This can't be it New York. The Good: i ordered the classic pepperoni and seasoned beef toppings. For the pepperoni pieces that weren't overcooked....they were good. The seasoned beef toppings were really good. Flavorful. The sauce tastes homemade using fresh tomatoes. The service was great here. You order at a counter and then we planned on eating it at Lower Left next door. These nice people offered to walk it over for us! The large meatball sub was preferred and maybe 2 feet long. The calzone was cooked well. . We were able to pick our own toppings. We both wished there was more toppings and less cheese. Also would be happier if the toppings were spread out evenly within the calzone. Perhaps next time I will double the meat. We are glad to see one of our favorite breweries has a pizza joint next door!

I just moved to Charlotte and am in temporary housing in Uptown and have been loving trying the new pizza places around here. This one seems to be doing it right. I love to get a pizza delivered uncut so I can zhuzh it up later with my own additional toppings (Gotta save $$$ wherever you can) and reheat it at 350 for about 10-12 minutes. I got a standard 12" pepperoni pizza and added some fresh jalapeno, green olive and banana peppers. This place is a winner. So far I'm 2 for 2 on Charlotte pizza. Brixx last week, Zepeddie's tonight. Going to be 10lbs heavier by the time I move out of here at the end of the month.

12 " Big Gabagool and a 12 " Supreme We got both extra crispy and they were amazing. We will definitely be back.

We ordered to go after coming from the airport and was excited to give it a try based on the reviews. The crust of the pizza was perfect but the toppings were very minimal. The meatballs weren't bad I just wish there was more sauce since it came with so much bread.

Picked up a late night pie after an event in LoSo. The spot is super cute and inviting, I'd like to go back and eat on the patio when it gets warmer. Even after making the trek home with it, it was delicious! Foldable, toppings stay on, great NY style slice. The crispy pepperoni was great and there was minimal grease. Heated up the leftovers the next day, and it was still great!

Fantastic pies, sandwiches, and people. Very kind owners who let me sample a potential new menu item (I don't want to spoil it but it is a sandwich and fantastic-new sausage is legit). Great drink/beer selection; homemade bread, sauces, fresh ingredients-I drive 40 mins through the hell of 77 to go and am never mad at it-well worth the trip!

The staff was amazing and this place was the perfect stop for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I decided to try a build your own 12" pizza and it was hot and fresh. Seriously, they would make the Ninja Turtles proud with how cheesy each slice was. I would highly recommend trying them out and don't get discouraged by the parking - as with most places in this area, parallel parking is king.

Stopped by on Sunday to try out the pizza. Our group was able to chat with Chris, the GM/chef, who was engaging and thoughtful. We appreciated the customer service - Ty was upbeat and friendly, and helped us make good selections (so did Jacolby). We were going to eat at the outside tables, but opted to head next door to Lower Left Brewing to grab a drink. We were incredibly pleasantly surprised to see Chris walking our way with a treat: the most delicious focaccia I've ever had, along with two spread options: one was an olive tapenade with artichokes and feta cheese, and the other meatballs in red sauce. Fantastic. Fast forward to me starting to get up to go pick up our order -- only to see Chris and Ty delivering our meal to us! Even brought utensils and everything. And if that wasn't enough, he showed up a few minutes later with a knife to help us cut the gargantuan chicken parm sandwich. (Seriously, the large is HUGE.) While the food was tasty, the service is the real reason we'll be back. It is clear that Chris cares about this business, and is running it with that spirit. We were truly made to feel that we mattered, and that our business was appreciated. Way to kick off our Sunday in spectacular fashion, Zepeddie's team!

Zepeddie's Pizzeria has been one of my favorites lately! It is located in Lower SouthEnd, a bit on the rougher side but don't let that deter you! They have a parking lot and street parking, plus indoor and outdoor seating. Can't wait till the warmer weather decides to stick around. My favorites has to be their wings! They're fried in duck fat and I aim to eventually try all their flavors. They're crispy and juicy. I was pretty excited to see fish sauce chicken wings. I've also tried one of their calzones and omg, it's massive. Everything was delicious and you get a pretty good amount of food for the price you pay. Friendly service and it's a chill spot. Highly recommend this place!

AMAZING FOOD!! As New Yorkers we are very tough on pizza but this was amazing! The bread there was so delicious and i cannot rave enough. I think it was the owner who came out but he was so nice and chatted with us for a bit. Super friendly and absolutely delicious food! The outside seating is really nice would definitely eat there if you can.

Amazing food!!! Everything was great (we had the meatball sub, chips, salad and pizza) but the stand out for us was the bacon cheeseburger pizza for sure. Truly phenomenal!!!

Easily some of the best pizza I've had in Charlotte! Every bite was incredible, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The food alone makes this place worth visiting, but the service took it to another level. All of the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, but Ebony stood out; her kindness and attentiveness truly made our night. We were celebrating my daughter's first birthday, and she went above and beyond to make our meal effortless and enjoyable. The ambiance is cozy and well-maintained, with a laid-back vibe that makes you want to stay and savor the experience. I left completely satisfied and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I first went to Zepeddie's for their soft open. I am a pizza enthusiast and have eaten at all the New Haven staples. Zepeddie' sis by far the closest thing I have found to the quality of a New Haven pie. The sauce and flavor of the toppings are great, but the crunch of the thin crust pie is excellent. If you like high quality pizza, you need to give Zeppedie's a try. It travels well too,

Each ingredient was vibrant and packed with flavor. The meatballs were cheesy, fresh, and came with additional sauce. The bread was crunchy and held its own against the messy filling of the sub. Not only was the food scrumptious, but the staff was also welcoming. 10/10

Picked up some pizza to bring to the hotel when we flew into Charlotte. We got a Margherita pizza, a pepperoni pizza, a house salad, cannolis and tiramisu. Don't judge! It was a long flight and we were starving! The pizza sauce had good flavor and the crust was perfect. The salad was more than enough for 3 adults to share and then some. The desserts were very yummy, I especially like the cannolis. We may have had a little bigger eyes than our stomachs, because we did have leftovers. We would definitely go again when in Charlotte.

Outstanding NY-style pizza. We are transplanted NY'ers 15 years ago and this is def Top 3 in CLT. Worth the visit and great service as well. Bravo!

Goodness Zepeddie's has been on my list for a while and today was the day. We ordered the meatballs and a tradionale thick crust pizza. Wow it was delicious. The meat balls were gluten free and slightly spicy. So good! The focaccia served with them was outstanding. Then that pizza. Yummmm!!! I could only eat one piece but it was fabulous. The sauce tasted like fresh crushed tomato sauce with fresh basil. Beyond yummy! Highly recommend checking them out.

First time there. Had the Zepeddie's calzone. Perfect crust with fresh spinach, ricotta and mozzarella cheese and meatballs. We were a large group and the service was great. Will return. Recommend.

The food is good--but I'm here to talk about the online ordering functionality in hopes that they can make a change to it. If you are a restaurant offering a Build-Your-Own Sandwich function on your menu, and a customized sandwich costs considerably more than a house sandwich (even when it's built with the same exact ingredients), you've gotta re-evaluate that system. For the curious, here's an example--if you build a custom 1/2 Chicken Parm with the same ingredients as their 1/2 Chicken Parm on the menu, it costs a whopping $6 more. Why? Because they charge a flat rate for all ingredients on custom sandwiches instead of pricing them out proportionate to their cost. $2 extra for Romaine on a sub? That sounds silly even in the time of tariffs and high food costs. But hey, maybe that's done by design to keep people away from custom sandwiches? Not sure.

Best pizza I've had in over 20 years. We have tried most of their menu but love the Big Gabagool the best. The Bacon Cheeseburger was a pleasant surprise. Fun but relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly. Great brewery next door. If you find a better pizza joint in Charlotte please let me know!

Fabulous pizzas! They know what a delicious pizza should taste like. My first time using a delivery service and they did forget to deliver my salad.

WOW! They just opened but they know what they are doing. I think you should build your own pizza because their specials are limited. The crust are great and so is the sauce and toppings. The bread is wonderful !!! We had a meatball sandwich and wished we had bought two. Mozzarella sticks were good and the garlic bread was fabulous. I can't wait to go back. Service was quick and friendly. Not fancy but it is brand new and very clean.

One of the best pizza places we've tried in Charlotte!! Coming from the northeast, the Charlotte pizza scene has been disappointing to us. This place definitely is the closest to what we consider a great pie. Staff is very welcoming and efficient.

Great addition to the CLT pizza scene! Thin crust verde pie was delicious! Friendly service and cool atmosphere. Dining room is tiny but there's also seating available on the outdoor patio. One of the best pizza places I've tried here by far since moving from NY/NJ area. Zep holds its own and is definitely on my short list of go to pizza places along with Bird pizzeria and Finale. Glad I tried it out and looking forward to my next visit.
