Zephyr Grill & Bar is one of my favorite spots! I absolutely love their pasta so flavorful and comforting. The steaks are perfectly cooked every time, and the appetizers come in generous portions, great for sharing. Their cocktails are delicious too, well-balanced and creative. Great food, great drinks, and a cozy atmosphere. what more could you ask for?

What an outstanding place for dinner. This will be my new primary go to place every time I visit Livermore. The staff is absolutely amazing, so friendly and smart and very informative about menu items and wine choices. I love their corkage that they don’t charge you if you buy and bring in Livermore wines. Overall, this place is absolutely fantastic.

This place is damn delicious! Best artichoke dip EVER... like legit artichoke, not a bowl of mayo with a few pieces in it. Don't forget to ask for bread and butter (free). It's really tasty and very fresh. I got pork loin seasonal special with mashed potatoes which was excellent. Wife got the chicken Cobb salad which was good (presentation was average but the food was very fresh and the chicken was done perfectly). Service was great too. Server has a fun personality, and her refill game was on point. Highly recommend going. You can save good $$$ if you go during happy hour.

My wife’s favorite place for happy hour! Martini Mondays are the best! Happy hour menu is wonderful, but you really cannot go wrong with anything there. Staff is always very kind and accommodating. Our favorite little spot, and then you can hop over to the Vine to see a show.👍🏽

I love the seasonal fall menu. The butternut squash soup was an elks r as was the butternut squash salad which I upgraded with shrimp. Nice to have a happy hour as well. Next time I’ll save room for panne cotta.

Lovely open feel to the restaurant with plenty of light and a nice patio as well. Ordered the short ribs and they were fantastic. My Moscow mule was a little on the sour side, but the margarita was excellent. My friend got pan seared sole and it looked fantastic. The panna cotta dessert got decent reviews but it wasn't my friend's favorite. But my own meal was stellar.

This is my second time coming to this location. The food was fantastic, and the drinks were amazing. I’m not very impressed with the service. I’m sure the waitress’s name was Alexa; she was very nice and kind, except for the fact that she only checked on us one time other than that, it was to order. I asked for red chili flakes for my food and never got them. I was waiting for them, but my food started to get cold. On top of that, there were 3 or 4 Nats flying over my food and made me lose my appetite. I wish I would’ve had a better experience because we were there to celebrate a birthday.

From the day it opened the mashed potatoes are swimming and butter. Everything is flavored with heavy butter. Recently, I reluctantly went here with a friend. The food and the service and the quality doesn’t match the prices they charge. Any other place I have no problem paying 100 bucks for a steak as long as it’s good. I’m not cheap. I just like a good value. Food is mediocre. We had a lazy server. She asked if we need change just because she’s too lazy to walk back-and-forth. And she thought she was gonna get away with serving our bill with no mint brownies. I called her laziness on that and made her bring us the brownies, not my first rodeo. Her lazy behavior cost her a good tip. You gotta earn your tip. Been to a lot of nice restaurants in my day this restaurant is a wannabe. Outrageously priced, food not good and unhealthy. Our server had the fast food Attitude food type of service. Unfortunately, most Livermore restaurants are that way. Not a fan.

Yelp
Grabbed my sister yesterday and was looking online for somewhere to have a bite to eat. The happy hour menu at Zephyr looked fabulous, so on we went for our first time. We were seated promptly and advised the hostess we were excited for happy hour. You don't have to sit at the bar to enjoy happy hour, so Betsy sat us at a table next to the window. It was nice and sunny outside, perfect spot for us. The restaurant has a large beauitful bar and woodwork. Katelyn took care of us, excellent customer service. She was available when we needed her and helpful in deciding on a cocktail. They do have a happy hour menu, but their drinks custom cocktails are also discounted for happy hour. We ordered ribs, burger sliders, calamari steak and french fries to go with our fabulous Zephyrtinis. The ribs were moist and fell off the bone and we liked the bbq sauce. The fries had great seasoning. The calamari steak was nice and thick, good flavor and tasted great with a lemon squeeze! Katelyn also offered bread but with the happy hour selections, we declined (I usually do not decline carbs!) When Katelyn brought our bill, she also brought us 2 bite mint brownies complimentary. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We are already excited to go back and try the rest of the happy hour menu.

Yelp
Food: Started with seafood chowder and Green Chili Chowder which were both good. Took way too long to get our entrees. It's Wednesday and not at all busy. Chicken Masala was fine / average. Macadamia Crusted Striped Bass was just awful. The macadamia and panko was burned. Couple of the asparagus spears were yellow. The fish was not fresh. Short Ribs and gravy were too salty. Service: Waitress was not friendly. She never smiled once. She should've came by to tell us our entrees were taking a while. One of our champagne flutes was empty and we had to refill it ourselves. Water glass went empty without refill. We've eaten at Zephyrs since they opened some 20 years ago. This was the worst experience.

Yelp
Amazing food!!!! Service is unmatched. I've been about 4 times now and definitely would go back over and over again. The servers would come around but not annoyingly so, they make sure you're taken care of, and always make sure your food is just how you like it.

Ana D.

Yelp
For the appetizer we ordered the crab tower which was yummy and a great way to start our dinner. I loved their braised short rib! It was so tender and it paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ordered a peach drop and it was also delicious with a sugar rim. My boyfriend ordered the molasses meatloaf and it was very hearty with mashed potatoes and broccoli as well. The service was amazing and the ambiance was nice as well. It's always clean and the staff is always helpful.

Yelp
Always have been happy with Zephyr but the other night their "house" salad (which was stated as not your usual house salad, but better) was awful. Mostly the white hard bits from Romaine, couldn't find the tomatoes, lots of onion. Quite disappointed. All the other times we have been here the food has been excellent, service, etc..

Tav J.

Yelp
Service lacked structure. Appetizer (tempura asparagus) came out and seconds later my hot pasta (clam and chorizo paperdalle) arrived. Could not fully enjoy my appetizer since I wanted to enjoy my pasta while it had some sauce (white wine) and heat left. Ordered a bottle of white and was not offered a wine chiller unless asked for. Food was okay. Might of been better if I didn't have to rush.

Yelp
A friend and I were looking for some place to meet for lunch and I'm so glad we stopped by here! Easy to miss as you drive by but there is parking right in front. We arrived around 12:15 and were seated right away with no reservation. The restaurant is super cute and the waitress was very kind and attentive. We started with the strawberry basil martini. 10/10 recommend if you love strawberry and basil. Perfect hint of basil and very refreshing. We had the bruschetta to start. Also 10/10 very fresh and flavorful. So good that I didn't even get a photo. For entree I decided on the steak frites-well done. Not many places can get this right. Steak was done to perfection and still very flavorful and juicy. The only thing that would have made this dish better would have been shoestring fries. They serve the breaded/seasoned fries like you would get at a fast food place. Otherwise, everything was excellent. I would definitely visit again if in the area even if just for the martini

Yelp
My Dad recommended we meet for happy hour and dinner at Zephyr Grill & Bar which is close to his home. We came on a weekday and took advantage of their happy hour that runs from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesdays-Fridays (plus weekends). All in all, we had a fun experience but more so on the social aspect versus the food. The happy hour menu offers typical new American dishes such as salads, and appetizers plus adult beverages. I ordered the Grilled Pear Salad with No Blue Cheese. The salad was good but not out of this world--fresh, and plentiful, a crunch from the nuts, and a warm sweet bite from the pears. My companion and Dad ordered Crispy Fish Slider and Burger Slider off the happy hour menu, plus a Seafood Chowder. Dad enjoyed his soup saying it was hearty and rich and loved his burger. My companion said the fish sliders were okay but more filling than the fish. The dinner menu did look expansive with specialties, appetizers, pasta, entrees, and more. I'd come back for happy hour for the deals but not dinner. You can tell this is a go-to spot for an older crowd with most folks coming after work. It's loud, spacious, and a great spot for families or bigger groups with an extended bar. We found service to be as it should be, simple, efficient, and getting the job done. If you're in the mood for happy hour or New American cuisine you can find Zephyr Grill & Bar in the heart of downtown Livermore. The restaurant is off First Street with street parking for free out front. This is mainly a happy hour review but the food is good not out of the ballpark, the service is pleasant, and the ambiance is casual. I can see why this is a popular spot.

Yelp
I came to Zephyr's for lunch. Great service. I had a pull pork sandwich it was greasy. I had it with corn mash potatoes. It tasted like the mash potatoes were made with instead potatoes mix. The food here is hit or miss this time I missed it.

Carolus B.

Yelp
Old school charm meets flavorful dishes ! Upon arrival, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel welcomed to a well established restaurant capable of providing a great dining experience. The menu made it difficult for me and my pescatarian date to chose from. There were so many good dishes to choose from that it took 29 minutes to order. My braised ribs came quickly and the dish was tender and layered in flavor. There was very tittle talk at our table , as we were both deeply engaged with our meals. I liked the experience and can't wait try the shrimp, pork, and sole!

Melanie D.

Yelp
The food is subpar; prices are not! Great atmosphere. Staff very helpful and friendly. But just can't recommend the food. Mashed potatoes were too salty. Sole was lackluster. Really seemed like something you would get at a run of the mill diner.

Breanne B.

Yelp
Been here a dozen times and it's fabulous. Scheduled a large group of us to celebrate Mother's Day early on a Saturday. This is my first weekend visit and I was not happy. There is a different menu for weekends which was my fault for not being aware. So the Parmesan lemon sole and rib eye I raved about could not be enjoyed by the group as planned. Eggs Benedict had eggs overcooked so I missed out on the delicious runny yolk. Cesar salad delicious. Salmon was very under cooked sadly. Hot fudge sundae described a cookie bowl but that is not what it is served in. It is a cone and this thing has three scoops of ice cream so when we each ordered one we were upset to learn we could have saved a lot of money by having five of us share. Stick to week days is my opinion.

Steve W.

Yelp
While we enjoy the food, which generally is very well prepared, I want to give a special shout out Zephyr for its community service. It is an excellent example of how a business can give back. This month (October) there is a special dinner with 15% of the bill going to Shepherd's Gate, which aids local victims of domestic violence. That is not a ton of money by itself, but it will add up over the month. The dinner for two includes caesar salad for both, each person has a choice from four entrees, and a choice of one from two desserts that the couple splits. PLUS, a bottle of wine. $99. We enjoyed our seared ahi tuna entrees and everything else. And I hope more restaurants follow this commitment to our community.

Sandhya G.

Yelp
My friend and I ended up at Zephyr after Ann from Wente Vineyards recommeded the restaurant b/c they offer $0 corkage fee for up to two bottles of wine purchased from a Livermore Valley winery. This is a great offer if you have that bottle of wine or two you've been wanting to open drink and not cook for the night. It was Saturday eveningpm around 6:30 and the place was full (including the bar) and buzzing with activity. Note, there are a couple of TVs at the bar in case you want to catch the game. The ambiance is welcoming and there were people of all ages dining there; it appears to be a good place for families and/or multi-generational groups. I ordered the short ribs and my friend ordered the sole filets. The portions were large and we both took half of our meal home. The food is well prepared and good; nothing extraordinary but not bad. We started with the crab appetizer and that was also a good portion size for two people to share, but it was lacking a little flavor- in my opinion it needed a little more salt and maybe I should have asked for hot sauce. The crab wasn't the sweet variety which is what I was expecting. Again, not extraordinary but not bad and very nicely presented. Our waitress was very friendly and accomodating as was the bartender; both ladies took great care of us. This is a good place for nice meal and friendly environment.

Yelp
Good food but super slow service. Went here for dinner, there was only 4 of us. We were seated right away and host was very friendly. Our server put in our drink orders within the first 10 minutes but took a long time to get our food order. No food the first hour of being there, then it finally came, so we spent over 2 hours here for very simple orders and half of the table had waters to drink.

Usha A.

Yelp
I was here for a birthday dinner. We had a reservation for 9 pm as we were going to attend a concert and then join for dinner. We realized we will be a little late and hence called them to update and they accommodated our request to extend it by 30 minutes. When we reached there, we were seated and served with water and a menu card. I ordered a glass of Red wine and halibut for dinner. The service was great from the beginning, and the ambience is beautiful for style dining. I wish we had come earlier to enjoy the ambience but that's for another time for sure. The halibut was wrapped up in a thin potato layer, this was ultimate in taste and something I never tried before. There was a surprise at the end with an M&M Sundae with a candle on it. We really enjoyed the dinner, our discussion and even if it was late and time for them to close they waited without rushing us, until we finished it. I really loved this place and would like to go back here for celebrations.

Dianne C.

Yelp
We came here for a group dinner. We had a private room. It was a wonderful experience. Our waiter was outstanding and did a fine job of taking care of a party of 14 by himself. He was very efficient and friendly. The food was great. I had the squash soup, grilled salmon, and the flourless chocolate decadence. The food was prepared perfectly.

Gyanan G.

Yelp
Very disappointed on the level of service. First here and will make it the last. They ran out of the food we ordered and and didn't even notify us till after 20 mins or so. We have waited hour plus and still no entree yet. Ambiance is ok. I'm gonna walk away with no tip from this place. Maybe it's one of the bad days we happen to reserve. If the manager is actually reviewing this, please hire better chefs and hosts.

Debbie S.

Yelp
We came for Sunday bunch and both the food and service were delightful. The menu was both creative and delicious. The prices are reasonable too. Stop by for bunch, you will be glad you did.

Rachel H.

Yelp
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on you. Fool me four times, well....We've tried Zephyr a few times over the last 10 years and have never been impressed. Mediocre food and lackluster service. I had hoped that after 5 years, things would have improved. But sadly, no. It was a Monday night and the place was far from busy. The female bartender with the dark hair was not friendly and always seemed like she was being bothered. My friend asked her a question about a drink and she looked so annoyed to have to talk to a customer (unless it was a friend of hers passing through, whom she jovially would wave to). My friend asked to close out her tab and offered cash. It sat there for over 15 minutes while the bartender walked back and forth. Again, it wasn't busy. We eventually took the tab with us to our table when we were seated for our reservation. A young man who I assume was a manager on duty then approached us about closing our tab at the bar. Well, we were trying to do that for nearly 20 minutes while your bartender waved hi to her friends! Then, we waited another 20 minutes for a waiter who finally showed up to take a drink and appetizer order. The appetizer never came, and the two glasses of wine took another 15 minutes to arrive. We put our dinner order in shortly after happy hour ended, and seeing as I wanted the chicken sandwich on the HH menu, and we had sat down well before HH, I asked if I could still get it. The waiter nodded and took the order. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive, and it was only mediocre. And at the end of the night, I was charged an extra $26 for my chicken sandwich instead of the $14 HH price (it was charged as a prime rib sandwich). I asked about this and was told they couldn't change it. We were also charged for beverages that were never ordered (which were taken off). A long winded review, yes, but that's how disappointing the night was--again. I can confidently say we will NEVER be back and will not recommend this place when there are so many other excellent places in Livermore.

T C.

Yelp
The food was absolutely horrible! The Potato Wrapped Halibut was terrible. The sauce was sickeningly sweet and the fish was terribly bland. Out of the five dishes we had only the Cajun Shrimp Penne Pasta was eatable. The waitress was terribly slow at providing service, even though there were 5 or 6 people standing around doing nothing. No idea where any of these positive reviews come from... Whatever you do don' t go to this restaurant.

Kiana P.

Yelp
My all-time favorite restaurant in Downtown Livermore! The food is absolutely delicious (I highly recommend the cajun shrimp appetizer), and the portion sizes are perfect. I've only been here a few times, but the staff treat me as if I am their best friend. I absolutely love the lively atmosphere at Zephyr, and I highly recommend it!!

Christine B.

Yelp
Wow wonderful menu and waitress was amazing!!! Fun place ,very comfortable . Great wines and food. Will be back

Dona S.

Yelp
We went in again for an early Mother's Day celebration. The place was packed but the staff was friendly, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We asked to sit outside and it was perfect. The music soft in the background so we hear each other. The margaritas were a tad strong (who complains about that???) but our severer helped fix that. We ordered the filet, short ribs and the prime rib dip with house salads. Absolutely everything was excellent on an extremely busy night for them.

jillian s.

Yelp
Took my husband here for the first time, he absolutely loved it!! The service was above and beyond. They were very friendly with my Great Dane too. We enjoyed the upscale yet relaxed feel of the restaurant. The food was incredible. We ordered two different steak plates and both were cooked to liking (not over done). We will be back very soon!

Marina M.

Yelp
Food was just ok. Like the avocado crab tower but not thrilled about the rest of the food we ordered. Meat in the sliders and bbq ribs were very dry. Service was not attentive too.

Kristi H.

Yelp
I love their happy hour menu! I have enjoyed their beautiful pear salad, coconut shrimp with mango sauce, fish sliders...all so delicious. The service has always been top notch as well. I love the atmosphere too! It has a great vibe.

Yelp
Zephyr Grill & Bar Livermore CA Sun 11/21/21 © On a sunny Sunday in November a trip to Livermore has brought me to Zephyr. Located in downtown on First Street, just steps off the highest traffic area, it provides for a spacious restaurant. Traditional American cuisine is served at Zephyr Grill & Bar. There are outside tables available, certainly useful in our pandemic times, while multiple variants of the virus keep surging, creating staffing challenges in all industries, exhausting healthcare workers, halting lives and putting enormous strain on us, once again. Back in November, we haven't yet heard of Deltacron, Flurona, or Omicron. Which leads me to the bar counter at Zephyr, my inside dining experience. Masks worn but had to be taken off, naturally, for food consumption. Warm bistro with an elegant vibe & American fare, plus a lounge, wine bar & Sunday brunch. Obviously my late afternoon arrival provided for early dinner and not a lunchtime. Greeted warmly, offered a table but gravitated towards the bar. Choose any seat, most are available. Observed the dining room from my seat, it's well lit and feels like old school venture, with white tablecloths, black cloth napkins keeping your silverware, and overall classic vibe. Shelby the bartender is a nice well spoken girl. She's friends with locals, there were couples and a few guys having their meal at the bar, the familiarity in the chat tells you they come to catch-up with Shelby, not just to get the food! Asked for recommendations and I'm happy that I have. All choices were spot on! See descriptions below, look at the pictures, make your pick! Grilled pear salad looked good to me. Arcadian Field Greens, crumbled Blue Cheese, Raspberry Vinaigrette... Spiced Pecans and seasoned grilled pears, delicious together. Maybe a tad too heavy on raspberry vinaigrette, otherwise just fine. Couple of sliders. One, Burger with Cheddar Cheese & 1000 island dressing, another Crispy Fish - Panko Crusted Petrale Sole, ranch coleslaw & tartar sauce. Future note to myself: skip these next time:-) It ain't going to lower my rating, I'm just gonna skip on the sliders next time & go straight to the good stuff! Tenderloin Tips Diablo with Garlic, Cajun Spices, Soy Demi Butter and Seasoned Crostini, get this! Yup this is the good stuff! I'm no chef LOL but if you'd asked me to describe this dish? It's sorta like a cross in between Beef Bourguignon and Beef Stroganoff, sans noodles of course, just the meat. With spicy garlicky sauce. Oh yeah! And now. Zephyr Burger on Pretzel Bun! Angus Beef medium well, with French Fries & Havarti cheese. I likey! The burger is well stuck, the pretzel bun gives it a twist, french fries are kept hot in some kind of a metal vessel and the whole thing is scrumptiously gratifying! And a bottle of bubbles! French Bruit de Blanc, served on ice in your stainless steel Champagne bucket, poured into chilled flute. It's on a cheaper side of the spectrum, granted it's customary for any establishment to triple the price. Another note to myself for the next visit: get Domaine Carneros by Taittinger Estate Brut Cuvée! You'll thank me later. *Bored of the life In the city of gold He'd left and let nobody know Gone were the towers He had known from a child Along with a dream of a life Cheers to kindness! Yelp
We went there with a Group of 6. Were seated promptly in a great booth. Madison was our gracious server who was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. She prepared couples checks without a blink of her eye. She is a 10 star server. The food was scrumptious!!

Sherry M.

Yelp
It had been awhile since we tried the Zephyr Happy Hour. We sat on the patio and the weather was perfect. Patio is very inviting and in the shade and much less crowded than the other downtown restaurants. The service was great too! The menu is now 3-6 daily and there's some really good food on there. Full dinner items just a bit smaller portions. Our new go to spot for late lunch or early dinner.

Nicolette S.

Yelp
This place has the best food! Everything is so flavorful & is a great quality ingredient. The service is on point, the staff keeps the drinks flowing and we never have a long wait. The feel is family friendly but is good for date night or evening with friends/ family. The menu is seasonal and always has some basics that never fall off the menu.

Lala R.

Yelp
Superb. I loved the ambiance. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. The service was not the best but everything else made up for it. The holiday meals were a nice touch. I'll definitely come back again when in town.

Lonnie B.

Yelp
Good food, good service, reasonable price. Location is good for going to wineries and downtown

Estella K.

Yelp
Been loyal customers for years but the last few months have been very disappointing. For the third time in a row we made a reservation asking specifically for a booth in the front dining room and were ensured it was reserved for us. Upon our arrival, they started to escort us to the back even after we complained that that's not what we were told. The host nervously said the booths were taken, yet two were empty. So we ended up in the back dining room again... WTH Zephyr!!! This feels like a bait and switch and like we're being taken advantage of. Then halfway through our meal, another couple complained about the exact same thing but was moved to the front. Very disappointing to be lied to yet again just to fill up a small space with those weird little booths. The food was okay, service was slow and uncomfortable. We'll be looking for a better date night location we can trust.

Pam A.

Yelp
Food was OK and not memorable. We made a mistake dining at the bar. The bartender and friend talked loudly, angrily and excessively about a host of personal problems. Definitely ruined our night out.

Ronie S.

Yelp
Gr8 service.. very "fancy" feeling, but everyone is welcomed. The host made it seem like she needed to find out if they had space for us. (The restaurant aaa NOT full) I kinda of got the feeling that we were NOT welcomed because we were NOT Caucasian... she stated that it was Veteran's day and they were full. I made sure I let her know I was a Veteran myself. We finally got a table and our waitress Ashley was amazing. Polite, fun and light hearted. The bartenders did an amazing job with our drinks. I love me an old fashion.. Stephanie and Nicole did an AMAZING job on those old fashions. I didn't get the "free Veterans Day meal" BUT the food and service were amazing, the environment was kinda of quiet and slow, but we were treated well AFTER the mishap with the hostess.

Samantha H.

Yelp
Came for a late lunch/early dinner around 3:15 on a Friday and was pleased to find it was Happy Hour! The happy hour menu offers a good variety and the portion sizes were good. My sister and I each got an "adult libation", and ordered these Happy Hour items to share: fried calamari (strips not rings!), 2 panko crusted fish sliders, three short ribs, Zephyr burger, and pear salad. Our bill came to around $70 pre-tip. Food was delicious. The last time I was here was probably at least ten years ago and I remember not being very impressed with the menu then. Certainly not impressed enough to come back. But I'm so glad I gave it another try because this might just become one of my new favorite places. I especially appreciated that our salad came plated separately for each of us. Btw, the pear salad was excellent-- I would order it as an entree. Service was good. Not overly attentive, but didn't ignore us. I probably should've asked for water, but that's my bad. Although we weren't asked if we wanted more cocktails. We don't present as heavy drinkers so perhaps our waitress just had a sixth sense about us. I love that this restaurant is located in the "quiet" side of downtown. Plenty of parking and a lot less douchebaggery. What's not to like?

Phil B.

Yelp
Zephyr has been one of our go to places. Nice atmosphere and good value. Disappointing to see drink recipes changing to have liqueurs substituted with simple syrup (sugar water). Seems like many of their premium drinks include simple syrup. Glad I saved their old recipe of a usual drink I would get there so I can now just make it at home. Also for years, Mango Cart has been the house draft beer when so many better options are available, especially locally.

Andre W.

Yelp
After driving and walking past this place for 3 years, we (The wife & I) decided to stop in yesterday on our anniversary. I emailed earlier in the day for reservations (just in case). No wait once we arrived, place was was pretty full of diners at tables and the bar. We ordered the "pork Osso Buco & potato wrapped halibut". Both were cooked and seasoned extremely well. Their cocktails featured fresh ingredients and were simplistically great (classic Martin, house Margarita, & their Peach Bellini). Service was fantastic, atmosphere was great, just enough TVs and volume to enjoy the game in the background without the TVs being the dominant sound. Great spot, will visit again, great location for the 20 and older crowd! We highly recommend Zephyr and can't state enough how wonderful the manager and the staff are!!

Yelp
We ordered rack of ribs, coconut shrimp, fish sliders and Zephyr burger. Big disappointment flavor of the food was super basic and bland. The service was also not good our server never came to check on us and got our order wrong. Would not recommend. save your money

Yelp
Alexa is one of the best reasons to come here. As a service person myself of 10 years, it's not always easy to find someone who's treks through all of the hard parts of service to be as nice and as genuine as possible. No matter the day time or holiday! Alexa is someone to meet. She's hard working, in nursing school and is extremely attentive. Also a dog mama! So bring your dogs! The restaurant food is amazing. The ambience is a nice quiet part of the DT Livermore area. Seriously great food, great service, great area. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Went there yesterday for brunch. Please was clean, smelled nice, staff was polite and pleasant and professional. Ambience was pleasant. Very relaxing and enjoyful experience. Food arrived in timely manner. I've had short rib eggs Benedict. Very good! I'd come back to have them again. Meat was tender, spiced right. Hollandaise sauce was good. Mimosa was very good too with fresh squeezed Orange juice. 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
Zephyr Grill and Bar is a large restaurant in downtown Livermore. The spacious restaurant has a full bar with lots of tables inside and on the patio. It is a beautiful restaurant with an upscale feel. They have very good service, and Alexa never left us wanting for anything. The food was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the pasta primavera, and the pasta was overcooked and underseasoned. However, the veggies and the pesto were tasty. My dear friend's sea bass was fantastic and well prepared, even though her veggies were underseasoned. Usually, I would have given a spot like this 3 stars, but the service was excellent and that is super challenging these days. Plus, the restaurant was clean, warm and welcoming.

Yelp
We really like this place! We felt like we hadn't been in years because it's a little off the beaten path of downtown. We wanted to switch things up and go somewhere different so we got to thinking about options and this popped up, and we were so glad it did! We went a few weeks ago for date night. I ordered the macadamia crusted sea bass and it was amazing. My SO ordered the short ribs, and those too were delicious. Both meals were full of flavor and totally satisfied our craving for a great meal. Last night we decided to go again with another couple we often go to dinner with on Thursday nights. My friend and I both ordered the potato wrapped halibut, which was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and the au gratin and veggies were flavorful. My SO ordered the short ribs again because they were so good last time, and he loved them just as much this tome around which shows consistency in their kitchen! Our other friend ordered the Rib-Eye steak and he was completely satisfied with his meal as well! The service was great, and the manager came around to check on us. He even asked if we wanted to change the game on the TV because he noticed my SO's A's hat and that game wasn't on. All around just a pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
We were very disappointed in our meal tonight. The drinks took much too long to be delivered. The food must have sat under a heat lamp forever because we couldn't take a bite of the incredibly dry overcooked sandwich. The beef tips were cold and no flavor. Obviously no one in the kitchen is doing quality control. Very dissapointed. This used to be our go to restaurant in livermore for a nice meal. What happened?

Yelp
Came here for dinner after having beers at Shadow Puppet Brewery. For a Friday night there were not many people. Went at 845pm and they were out of fried chicken which was very disappointing. I ordered the crab tower appetizer with won tons and it was very flavorful and plentiful. Also the Ceasar was a good call along with the burger on a pretzel bun and French fries. Meatloaf fell below the grade we sent it back and they removed it from the bill without any issues. I ordered an old fashioned which was excellent and also a grass hopper. Bartender had to look up the recipe and made it with some substitutions. It was actually better then the original. Bravo Daisy our server was personable and professional. She had great recommendations. Service was a bit slow For not having a full restaurant. All in all good bet to eat here. Friendly and clean. COVID protocol in place.

Yelp
Been a longtime customer here. Made a reservation for 6 people. The day of our reservation, 3 additional guests asked to join us. All 9 of us arrived at the restaurant. I asked if they could accommodate 3 additional people. They firmly said "no, unfortunately, we reserved a table for 6 for you, and we cannot accommodate you if you have more than 6 in your party". Emphatic, unapologetic, firm and borderline nasty about it. We ended up going to another restaurant, who gladly accepted our $1,000.00, no reservation required. I hate to think this happened because all 9 of us were African American, but I wonder...never returning.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 11:45am- they were offering lunch, brunch and happy hour. We opted for lunch via the happy hour menu with a Cocktail. I had Britts chicken sandwich which was very devious (can you go wrong with avavado and grilled chicken on delicious bread for $12 at happy hour) and a Zephyrtini (only $7 at happy hour.) Both I highly recommend. Their brunch menu looked delicious- including $5/$6 mimosa, screwdrivers and bloody Mary's.. so I will hsve to go back to try. We will be back!

Yelp
Ahh! Where should I start? First off all, we all were attending birthday celebration so it was set menu. We had no idea, the guests had to go bar area to request drinks. And the drinks selection was limited. Also, the servers didn't come to the tables to take orders for appetizers or refill water glasses. Tip are charged over party large over 6 people. Don't you think, service should be great too? We were over 20 people. After an hour, I had to place good order for the kids. Then 15 minutes later ordered for adults. The food arrived in weird fashion. Some of the folks received the food and rest had to wait for long. The sea bass was over cooked and mash potatoes were so salty that we had to request them to recook. The folks that ordered pasta really enjoyed . The pasta was spicy and delicious. Overall customer service was disappointment

Yelp
Every time my husband and I visit the area we alway have lunch or dinner at the Zephyr Grill & Bar. We made it for Happy hour today and sat at the bar. Stephanie was our bartender and she was amazing!! Very attentive and very funny. My husband had a cup of butternut squash soup and chicken tenders....really good! I had the butter squash soup and the grill pear salad with grilled chicken both were super good but the soup was awesome! We'll totally be back and will sit at the bar!!
