We had the worst New Year’s Eve experience ever at Zephyr.
We were promised an entertainment night, yet the only “entertainment” provided was a violinist who played for no more than 10 minutes.
The service was extremely poor. We were six people at the table, yet all the starters were served for four people only. Despite repeatedly informing the waiters that we were six, our requests were continuously ignored. After insisting several times, they brought one extra platter from a single starter, which was frankly embarrassing.
The most unbelievable part was the main course. We paid $135 per person, and they expected six grown adults to share one steak platter with only two small pieces of meat. Seriously how is that acceptable?
After we complained, they attempted to fix the situation by bringing two additional plates, but this was after midnight, when we were already busy celebrating the New Year. By then, the steaks were cold, completely ruining the meal. The manager even brought champagne as an apology, but honestly, the entire deal was ridiculous from the very beginning. No apology can justify expecting six adults to eat from a single steak platter.
The way the platter was originally served made things even worse—the waiter practically threw it on the table, without knives, extra plates, or any consideration.
Overall, the experience was frustrating, poorly managed, and completely disappointing. When we later contacted them, their response was: “Next time we will make it up to you.”
As if there would ever be a next time.
