Zephyr Southern Brasserie - Review - Downtown Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Zephyr Southern Brasserie sits on the first floor of the newly opened Hotel Phoenix in Downtown Atlanta nearState Farm Arena. The menu will feature French dishes with a Southern spin, which already sounds like something we'd pay to park for." - Juli Horsford

Thandi Walton and the entire staff from the valet to the servers and bar staff were welcoming, professional and made our evening fun! The food, drinks, service and ambiance were amazing! The salmon, mushroom, spicy fried chicken with sides, banana cheesecake and pecan pie were all hits at our table!

Very new recently opened. The staff was amazing and our waiter was top notch! He went above and beyond to help us out with what to order. The food is spectacular and totally worth going and having your own experience.

I had the pleasure of visiting Zephyr, the new restaurant inside the Hotel Phoenix in Atlanta, during their soft launch on December 1st, and I can already tell this place is going to be a standout once the grand opening hits in January. I sat at the bar, where Jay was my bartender and let me tell you, he was amazing. Both Jay and Bri took such great care of me the entire evening. The service throughout the restaurant was A++++, from the valet who personally escorted me inside to the host at the stand who greeted me with a smile. The team made the whole experience feel warm, intentional, and elevated. I started with the crab cake, which was just okay, not bad, but I’m hoping the flavor profile evolves as they refine things before the grand opening. The Cacio e Pepe was also okay. It was creamy and simple. Now, the star of my night? Jay’s mezcal lemon drop. 🔥 It was phenomenal. Perfectly balanced, smoky yet bright, and hands-down one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. The drink menu overall was impressive! It was creative, well thought-out, and full of unique flavor combinations and liquors you don’t typically see on most Atlanta bar menus. The Hotel Phoenix itself is stunning! It has sleek lines, modern art, and that kind of quiet luxury that feels fresh and new for the city. Once Zephyr hits its stride, it’s going to be a beautiful addition to the Atlanta skyline and dining scene. I’ll definitely be back once they officially open to try more dishes. The service alone makes it worth a return visit.

I had the opportunity to dine at Zephyr at the Phoenix and the experience was 10/10. The ambiance was beautiful and the service and food were outstanding. I want to say a special Thank You to the manager Thandi for making our experience especially wonderful. Everything she recommended was phenomenal and she even made us some special elixir celebration shots to celebrate our dining occasion. They were delish. With the combination of great customer service, beautiful ambiance, and quality food and drinks, hotel Phoenix is sure to be a top Atlanta hotel destination. Thank you for a wonderful time and we will be back!!

Zephyr inside Hotel Phoenix is seriously good—hands down one of my favorite new brunch spots. The atmosphere is very luxurious, chill and modern with plenty of light, and the staff are friendly without hovering. I had the shrimp and grits, chicken fried steak, and chicken and waffles. Everything was PHENOMENAL 😉. The shrimp and grits were creamy with big, juicy shrimp and just the right seasoning. The chicken fried steak had that perfect crispy coating and tender steak inside, with gravy I couldn’t stop eating. Chicken and waffles was exactly what I wanted—crispy chicken, fluffy waffle, great balance of sweet and savory. Drinks were a highlight too. The “It’s Noon Somewhere” was refreshing and easy to drink, and their Bloody Mary was legit the best I’ve had in a while—spicy, well-balanced, and it actually fixed my hangover. Solid portions, great service, no complaints. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid brunch. 5 stars easy.

Yelp
Ambiance Great... Service Great... Food: horrible. Ordered blackened chicken and it came out seasonless & dry. Was a common theme among all the dishes we ordered. The baguette for the French onion soup was brick hard. The cacio pepe had very little seasoning (no Pepe). Will not be returning,
