"Zeppelin has a cool vibe, complete with exposed brick and black subway tile, that fits right into South End. The restaurant amplifies its bar bites with high-quality ingredients and international influences, then gives them a Southern spin; say, pork-cheek hush puppies, sweet miso pork buns, or barbecue-roasted Spanish octopus. Cocktails are the stuff of Instagram dreams; even classics like dirty Martinis and Manhattans get a modern spin in the form of, say, parmesan-washed gin." - Nancy DePalma

Both octopus and the scallop are great. Very tender and the seasoning brings out a lot of flavors. The pork belly bun is a bit too spicy and the bun is a bit bitter. I also think the bun is a little bit thick. The pork belly literally melted in my mouth though. Overall I would recommend this place

First time visiting with my wife. This place exceeded our expectations and we will return. We had 2 drinks each, 3 small plates, and a dessert and our bill was $100 without tip. Very reasonable considering the quality of food and time that goes into preparing each dish. We ate at the bar and bartender took great care of us and made some great recommendations. For small plates we had scallops with mixed greens, cold smoked asparagus topped with over easy egg, and fresh made ricotta gnocchi. The asparagus was absolutely amazing and one of the best dishes I have had in Charlotte in a long time. Scallops were cooked perfect and greens were a nice texture for the dish. Gnocchi was so light and perfectly prepared. For dessert we had a chocolate stout cake topped with fudge and biscoff ice cream. As you can see from the picture it was amazing and I could not get a picture before it was devoured. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Cool atmosphere and great service. Went on a week night, so they weren't super busy. The food was good over all. Had the Caprese which was a 10! The carrots were also delicious. The Avocado Lobster Toast had too many flavors going on and didn't seem fresh. The drinks are impressive! Their choice of music does not fit the atmosphere, you might expect more chill house type, not rap.

Zeppelin is all that and a bag of chips! We went there for Valentines day and it did NOT disappoint. The bartenders are Mixologists for sure! They were whipping up some rather special drinks, and not your common Margarita.. but some very beautiful cocktails! The Calamari, was divine! Fresh, Tender, and seasoned perfectly in a lite chili sauce with biased cut scallions. Off the chart good! The wait staff was professional and yet personable. Charlotte Agenda rated this one of the top 25 beautiful restaurants and I would say, I agree.

We recently came here for restaurant week. I've been wanting to check it out since they opened and their restaurant week menu looked good so it seemed like a good time to try it. They let you order off both the restaurant week menu and the normal menu which is nice. We decided to do one restaurant week order and then order other things off the regular menu that we really wanted to try. For restaurant week we ordered the notorious P.I.G puppies, the buttermilk kettle fried chicken, and the Krispy Kreme bread pudding. Off of the regular menu we got the point Judith calamari, the octopus special, the ricotta gnocchi, and the local burrata. We were also with another couple and shared everything. We tried a little bit of the fried green tomato caprese, the Asian BBQ skirt steak, and ice cream trio they got as well. I'll start by saying that everything was delicious. My favorites were the calamari, the octopus, the fried chicken, the ricotta gnocchi, and the bread pudding. The calamari was the star of the show. It was amazing. Fresh. Great sauce. The only calamari I've had that even compares was in a tiny seaside town in Ireland. We tried a few drinks as well. We had Dat Juice, Some Like It Hot, and The Uncle Eddy. Dat Juice was my favorite, but they were all very good. I will say that as good as they were, I'd probably skip them next time to cut down on bill. The service was incredible. We had the friendliest most helpful waiter. He made great recommendations for us. Given the small plates style, it's not a cheap restaurant, but you get some really great food. We all loved it. I would highly recommend Zeppelin for your next special occasion!

I like what they're trying to do here. A tailored approach to cocktails and food. The wait team was very insightful and explained the concept of the food and drinks. Overall giving you a robust full experience. Menu is very short but that should be expecting given the type of restaurant. Overall it's a good place to check out. Menu can be pricier than expected but you're going here for an experience.

The food was great! I'm not sure if I would come here all the time, but it was nice to have something different to try. We ordered a few things to try a good variety of their dishes. It's definitely tapas style so keep that in mind when choosing this restaurant.

We went for brunch. Cool environment. Nice and prompt service. I loved the clarified mimosa and the peach french toast was amazing. The meal became disappointing with the "mushroom" frittata. The frittata had way too many red peppers (which I don't love) and literally 3 mushroom bites. I spent the meal in picking out red peppers and searching for mushrooms... I had to check the bill and indeed they called mushroom frittata. I'll try restaurant again because of the french toast. I won't order eggs again. I can make those at home to my taste.
