We arrived at the restaurant and waited approximately 22 minutes at the hostess stand before being added to the waitlist. During that time, several tables appeared to be available, but there was no clear communication about the delay in placing us on the list.
After being added, the total wait time reached approximately one hour, which was longer than the estimate provided by the app. We were informed that bar seating is included in the waitlist calculation, which was not clearly explained beforehand and contributed to confusion about the actual wait time and seating availability.
This occurred about 2 hours before closing, and standard dining tables appeared open at various points during the wait. After we began documenting the wait time, our number was called shortly afterward (15 mins before the kitchen closes because I asked).

Overall, clearer communication about the waitlist process, seating prioritization, and more accurate timing estimates would help create a more transparent and consistent experience for guests.
