"Zhup Zhup, formerly One Prawn & Co, still sees constant queues forming beneath its red awning. The signature prawn noodles come in a set: a bowl of noodles, plus rich prawn soup in a claypot. Out of the four types of noodles, the classic option is a combination of yellow noodles with thin bee hoon. The tasty soup is loaded with flavours, imparted by the tomalley of countless prawn heads." - The MICHELIN Guide

"The constant queue under the red awning is a sign that this shop serves good hae mee. The signature prawn noodles come in a set: a bowl of noodles alongside rich prawn soup in a claypot. There are four noodles to choose from, but the classic order is yellow noodles with thin bee hoon. The soup is loaded with flavours, especially from the tomalley of countless prawn heads. Also try their ngoh hiang – the crispy prawn cracker is too good to miss." - Michelin Inspector

Highly recommended by a local good friend. We took a taxi to the restaurant at 5 pm, to avoid the queue. We made an order and waited for only about 10 minutes. The food arrives continuously without delay. The broth is good, the seafood is fresh. The rice in the broth is just nice, not too soft, not too hard. The thickness of the broth is well done. Prawns and clams are fresh. The famous lobster porridge is the best option to try. Overall it is a little pricey, but it is worth an experience for tourists. We spent almost $300 for 6 adults meal. I think we pay for the Michelin star, more than the simply menu choices. If you visit Singapore and read this review, you have to make a trip down here.

Is it nice? YES. Does it worth the money? NO. We traveled one hour for this Michelin prawn noodle shop. Overall very good taste but you can easily find cheaper equivalent elsewhere. The mains are priced average from $15 to $20 for one person portion, with not so much ingredients. The broth is nice but they use exactly the same broth for everything. If you live nearby can try once, but definitely not worth returning.

Prawn Paste Chicken 🐔🍤 This dish was a standout, with crispy golden-brown skin that gave way to juicy, well-marinated meat. The prawn paste seasoning was bold yet balanced, providing a deep umami punch without being overpowering. Every bite was a delightful contrast of crunch and tenderness. Claypot Hokkien Mee 🍜🔥 Served piping hot in a claypot, this Hokkien mee was pure comfort food. The thick, wok-kissed noodles soaked up the savory seafood-infused gravy, delivering a rich, smoky aroma (that unmistakable wok hei!). The prawns were fresh and plump, while the addition of pork belly and squid added extra layers of flavor. Ngoh Hiang 🥢🐷 A solid side dish, the ngoh hiang had a nice crisp exterior while remaining moist and flavorful inside. The filling was well-seasoned, with the right blend of minced pork, prawn, and five-spice seasoning. The sweet dipping sauce complemented it well, enhancing its slightly spiced profile. Prawn Noodles 🍜🦐 A classic bowl of prawn noodles never disappoints, and this one was no exception. The broth was rich and packed with prawn essence, boasting a deep seafood sweetness. The noodles were well-cooked, and the prawns were fresh, though I wouldn’t have minded a slightly more intense broth for an even bolder taste. Final Verdict ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Overall, this meal was a flavorful and satisfying experience. The prawn paste chicken and claypot Hokkien mee were definite highlights, while the ngoh hiang and prawn noodles complemented the spread well. A fantastic feast for seafood lovers and anyone craving hearty, well-executed local fare! Would definitely return for another round!

A delicious and satisfying meal! The Prawn Paste Chicken and Claypot Hokkien Mee were the clear standouts, while the Ngoh Hiang and Prawn Noodles rounded the meal perfectly. A great choice for seafood lovers and fans of flavourful, well prepared local dishes! Definitely coming back for more! 😋😋

This is a place is on the pricier end with each meal costing around 14$-20$. And they do make it up with that price point. The soup from the prawn noodles is simply amazing you can really taste the broth down to the ingredients in it. They really boiled the soup for a long period of time brining out that umami flavour in it. It has a really distinct taste that I would strongly recommend for you to try it. The prawn paste chicken has a very unique taste and it’s one of the few places where I can strongly taste the prawn flavour in the chicken. The Hokkien mee was average nothing too special about it besides the way it’s prepared All in all I would highly recommend this place it’s more a fusion prawn noodle place so don’t expect any transitional taste. And don’t order too many stuff their tables are pretty small 🥹

Arrived at 6+ on a Saturday and thankfully had no queue (the queue started getting really long when our food came shortly after ordering). Ordered the Claypot Hokkien Mee ($14), Prawn Noodle Bowl ($14) as well as the Seafood Paofan ($16). I'm assuming the soup base was the same for all, the extremely rich, flavorful, prawn bisque that has the umami boost from the clams while cooking. The prawns are not the most fresh ones but definitely not halved like most places. You get 3 adequately sized prawns with a lot of clams for each item, and the prawn noodle bowl allows you to customise the ingredients to go into it. Hokkien Mee had a very strong smokiness (wokhei) to it but wasn't overpowering. The fried pork lard portion is very generous as well, and it definitely was a good combo with the Hokkien mee.

Had my first meal at Zhup Zhup and enjoyed it! The Lobster Paofan had rich, seafoody flavors in the rice, and the Claypot Hokkien Mee had the perfect noodle texture with a strong prawn flavor. The Prawn Noodles stood out with a broth bursting with prawn essence. The Har Cheong Gai also had great shrimp paste flavor. However, I feel the pricing could be more affordable, and the portions a bit more generous. A tasty spot, though not one I’d visit frequently given the cost.

I read about it and was excited for my first visit. First impression was that there is not too much variety and the pricing. The soup is ok, food portions are really small for the price. It didn't pass my MSG test. I have tasted better prawn noodles at half the price. Give 58 prawn noodles at bedok reservoir Rd a try.
