Zia Esterina Sorbillo: Tasty Fried Pizza, but Operation Could Improve 🍕⏳ We stopped by Zia Esterina Sorbillo Antica Pizza Fritta in Milan, and as expected, there was a long queue, it’s a popular spot for good reason! The pizza was tasty and satisfying, but we have to say, the one we had at the Napoli branch was even better in terms of overall flavor. Unfortunately, the digital ordering system didn’t work, so we had to place the order again manually with a staff member. The overall operation felt a bit disorganised, and it took us about 20–25 minutes to get our pizzas.

Great pizza to be able to grab while walking around. It came out fresh and delicious and was like a calzone style but deep fried. So yummy

Melt in the mouth experience with light fried dough and excellent sauce. The fastest service I have received in Milan, however certain times have much longer queues. Friendly staff and it was amazing to see the food being prepared in front of you!

We stopped by here for lunch whilst in Milan centre. Although there was a lengthy queue, it moved quickly and service was both quick and friendly. The food was delicious, made fresh in front of you and an absolute bargain at €5.50 a portion! A shame there is no seating, but well worth a visit.

I honestly can’t find the right words to describe the taste. It looks fried, but it’s not oily at all; mostly cheese and delicious fillings!

If you're after Milanese street food then this fried pizza is what you want. They have 4 flavours and each one is made fresh as soon as you order from the rolling of the dough to putting in the filing and then deep frying it. It becomes like a giant empanada. Best to eat it hot though the filling can burn your tongue so be careful.

Very good place to have pizza , big portion, try the all cheese pizza ( Santa pizza ) was very nice

We finally got to try Zia Esterina Sorbillo and wow—it was absolutely amazing! The pizza was unlike anything we’ve had before. So yum and truly unique, with a flavor and texture that really stands out from the rest. We ordered the Completa al Salame and it was perfection from the first bite to the last. The crust was beautifully fried—crispy on the outside, yet light and airy inside. The salami added just the right touch of spice and richness, balanced perfectly by the creamy cheese and fresh tomato sauce. It’s one of those combinations that leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to go back for more. What makes this place really special is how different the pizza is compared to the usual—Zia Esterina’s fried pizza style is a must-try for any pizza lover. The quality of ingredients, the care in preparation, and the bold, satisfying flavors make it an experience worth seeking out. Everyone should try this at least once! Even if you’re used to classic pizza, this offers a new twist that’s just as comforting and delicious, if not more. It’s not just a meal, it’s a memory. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area or planning a trip. You won’t regret it! Can’t wait to go back and try other options on the menu. Zia Esterina Sorbillo specializes in fried pizza. As in, they make a pizza, roll it up like a empanada or calzone, and the fry it. There are a few more typical pizza flavors and also a Nutella one. They're pretty good, especially the dough! However, they'll be too hot to eat when fresh because oil. The inside ingredients also have a tendency to sag to the bottom because how big and runny these things are (they're HUGE). Because the insides slide down, you'll mostly be eating dough for a while. So while good, the tastes are a bit monotonous, but the price is nice. No tables are available for eating here.

The dough to filling ratio was very off. The first few bites were all just dough and all the filling was concentrated at the bottom of the pizza which made it very messy. The staff is pretty friendly and the pizzas are ready instantly (so great fast service). There is no seating area or places nearby really where you can enjoy the pizza, so be ready to embrace the mess while standing. However, I would still recommend to try if you've never had pizza fritta before!

Great fried pizza. I chose the pancetta and ricotta filling which was a bit heavy, I'd try a classic tomato next time. The fried pizza means it's full of calories but it's a very nice treat and I found it digestible with quality ingredients. Around the corner there is a panzerotto place but it's half the quality and it's super salty. This one is better and you get a massime portion for a reasonable price :)

whoa. 3.50€ you get a fried calzone. Margherita style. there's a light lox flavor ! mind is blown. the new york version doesn't seem to be the same thing. This concept is so awesome. Great quick bite. It's the best thing 3.50€ can buy.

I saw everybody standing outside this place holding what looked to be calzones in their hand. Sorry for the ignorance but I don't know what they are called besides to say calzones ! I was starving and decided to give it a try. This is a small fast food place with no tables. They cook each one hot and fresh and have a few different varieties. The one I got had ricotta cheese and ham. It's 3.50€ which is a good price especially for a place so close to the duomo. I did like that they made it fresh to order but the flavor was just so so. I might prefer a different kind without Ham if I ate here again. I didn't see a mozzarella and cheese on the menu but I imagine that would be a good combo. Overall not bad but not excellent.
