The Best Restaurants in Canary Wharf | Eater London

"Since opening in October 2022, Zia Lucia has brought its 48-hour fermented pizzas to the Docklands. Diners can opt for four different types of pizza dough, with a variety of toppings, taking in views of the waterfront while sipping on cocktails. The menu offers inventive pizzas such as the “Arianna Sbagliata,” with mozzarella, fresh Italian sausage, rich gorgonzola, honey, and truffle oil, as well as Italian starters, salads and desserts." - Shekha Vyas

Loved it!! I had high expectations, and the pizza, service, and atmosphere met all of them. It was actually football night, so we had the restaurant all for ourselves. I could see many orders going out as takeaway. I'll surely go back. I can't believe I've been waiting so long to taste it. Another thing I liked is that the menu is not huge. There are few options to choose the base, and I've tried the charcoal one. First time I left the table without feeling heavy stomach. It is highly digestible... I could have another one 😂 My friend was impressed too. Highly recommended 👌

Pizza was good, enjoyed the flavour of the sauce. Could have been cooked slightly longer as the middle was a bit soggy for my liking. Service was good, no complaints there. My boys really enjoyed the bruschetta although it was a very basic recipe. Simply bread and chopped tomatoes but still overall really good.

Look, if you don't know about Neapolitan style pizza and expect a crunchy crust, dough that can hold 600 different toppings without breaking, then this might not be the place for you. For me, Neapolitan style pizza is everything. And Zia Lucia delivers exactly that. A good selection of standard pizze, baked at more than 450 degrees Celsius. Leopard pattern crust, though mine during my last visit had a bit more black spots for my taste. Nonetheless, I come by every other week just to get my dose of Neapolitan style pizza.

The dough on both pizzas was inedible because it was absolutely chewy. The bruschetta was too soggy and unimpressive. The aubergine on second pizza was entirely soaked in oil. This food was not worth 37£ nor 5£. I was also told by personnel that there is no disposable cutlery available at the restaurant. I feel robbed

My boyfriend and I have eaten here several times. We always get seated immediately with no wait. I usually get the charcoal dough pizza because I dont see that offered anywhere else. The food here is very good, however, it is more pricey than other pizza chains. They have a good range of alcoholic drinks. The appetizers section could be better though. It's kinda small. Overall we enjoy dining there. We ordered pizza for takeaway one time only because we arrived too late and would have to rush our meal. Dining at the restaurant is preferred as the pizza is hot and we don't have to reheat it.

I visited twice this restaurant at quiet times. Each time the staff was friendly and the service was good. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are clearly labelled. They can modify the vegetarian pizzas to a vegan version. I don’t think they can make a vegan salad however. The gluten-free pizza dough is thinner than the wheat version which I prefer.

I came here for some vegetarian pizza and I must say there are plenty option of vegetarians over the menu. The dough pastry was made to perfection and you have a few doughs to select from which I thought was great for customers. The taste was a bit on the bland side. I had to put peppers to get the flavours out and some may need to put in salt if you are having the vegetarian option. It is a pretty decent pizza chain in Canary Wharf area.
