Zia Lucia - Canary Wharf

Hands down my favourite pizza in london ! Pizzas super fresh with the perfect crust - chewy and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside without being soggy like some places. Toppings are delicious and generous. Recommend the Arianna sbagliata (truffle, honey, Gorgonzola cheese with charcoal crust) and tartufo nell’universo (truffle with stuffed crust). Service quick and friendly. Plenty of seating inside with seats outside too.

Edmond was kind and helpful, he served us throughout our lunch at Zia Lucia and made sure our meal was good. The pizza was fresh and super tasty, the garlic cacio e Pepe was insanely good!!! I wouldn’t reorder the tiramisu but the food was really good overall!

For a week now I’ve noticed the sign of this restaurant when going to work. It said “authentic pizza”. It made me debate with my friend who was saying she doubts it so I had to check. I won :) the pizza is exactly as tasty as you can expect …. and a big bonus for me, the lager beer is the another separate reason why I would visit this place because it seems to me most other places have mediocre lager. The service is authentically italian style :) and brings with it the emotions you’d normally experience in italy - personality and dignity. Btw, I got my beer, my pizza and sauce exactly fit for my huge hunger and thirst 🔥

The pizza dough was fantastic, probably the best I have had, the service was fantastic the lady was quick and helpful. Nice location, atmosphere was nice, even the choice in music was good. My only issue was the the table we sat one was slightly sticky and my pizza was slightly soggy.

2nd time in Zia Lucia, 1st time in this branch. I brought my family this time and they love it. It's delicious and fulfilling as always and people in the restaurant are accommodating. We'll definitely visit again!

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Carlo was genuinely amazing — friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell he really cares about the customers and takes pride in what he does. His service made the whole visit feel special and personal. And the pizza? 10/10 doesn’t even do it justice. Perfectly cooked, fresh ingredients, packed with flavor, and just the right balance of everything. Every bite was better than the last. Honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. Great atmosphere, outstanding service from Carlo, and phenomenal food. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier pizza and an all-around fantastic experience! 🍕✨

Yesterday, we dropped in Zia Lucia at Canary Wharf and ordered the Centurione pizza as a take away. The preparation process took place in front of us. First, we noticed the pizza base had been prepared before we arrived, left on the preparation table for some time and therefore was cold. Second, it became obvious that the staff didn't know the recipe and where to place the ingredients. Then, the staff member had carelessly given our order in a box, strangely not even looking at us. However, the worst part was when we arrived home and we opened the box and started cutting the pizza. It was badly burnt in the middle, and the staff knew about it but tried to hide this fact by placing ham and rocket on it (see pictures). The people working in this particular branch seem very incompetent and acting dishonestly. This experience has convinced us that we will never go to this restaurant again. And do not recommend it to anyone!

I had a not so good first impression today a Zia Lucia. I went for dinner after a friend's recommendation. The pizza was good, not my favourite but not bad at all. The problem from the beginning was the service. It is a shame that the effort of the brand and all the vales and history stamped on the menu cover are not conveyed to the clients just for a bad service. I was surprised of my bad experience with personnel, but after seeing other reviews I realise that's a constant point of friction. When I arrived was asked to wait at the door even when there was plenty of available tables ready to sit. Once sat, had to wait for having a menu, wait to get my order taken and wait to receive the food, total time since I arrived to get the food on the table ~50 min. You guessed it right, also had to wait for the bill after done eating. While ordering I asked the waitress for the vegetable toppings, as there was a long list with a unique price of 2.5 in front. I asked her if the price was for individual ingredients or one portion included all in the list. It seemed to be not clear, so I paraphrased the question a couple of times until she agreed all ingredients were included in the 2.5 price. When I received the bill there was a long list for each of the ingredients all costing way more than the pizza itself and 2 additional items as side salads which I didn't ordered nor received. I recalled the question I asked before ordering, requested to remove the items I didn't ordered and remove the service charge. They tried to offer me some discount but not apply any amendment. I accepted there could be a misunderstanding and will pay the toppings I ordered but no dishes I didn't ordered. After discussing and 3 other bad bills, finally I gave up as the difference was now minor but still not justified. In the end all the wasted time and anger costed more than the few quids extra in the bill. The place deserves a second chance as the flavour is good, but I'm sure I'm not coming back in a long while, and when I finally do it, I'll carefully check the reviews.
