<Hiking path >Huge mountain very suitable for hikers , astonishing view , there is many entrance to go up , the sign there is not that accurate tho , better to ask people the route , I have taken three entrance route it took me approximately 1.5h ,2.5h , 4h each . I highly reccommend going during the winter , so beautiful . Many museum up there i remember vividly some of the small museum doesn't have english translation . One whole day is definately not enough if planning to explore by foot . Some of the path needs entrance fee , however before 6am or after 6pm is entrance free ( that's what uni students do ) Very convenient taking metro .

A great way to escape the bustling city and just enjoy the peace and quiet on the mountaintop. There is a cablecar which costs around 100rmb to go to the top and back down. There is also a bus to the top in front of the cable car station. It‘s cheaper but takes much longer. On the mountaintop there are a few snack shops and a KFC, which sells excellent coffee and sandwiches. I can also recomment going up to exercise - many people are hiking, running and some cycling. For cycling, officially no cycling on the road, but the security guard sitting there will not say anything if you just lift your bike over the barrier. The road is in good condition.

Beautiful adventure in nature. Take lots of water. A lot of walking bit worth the walk.

A scenic place to learn more about China’s imperial history. It will feel like a miniature forbidden city. Enjoyable !

The place provides an excellent opportunity to walk in nature and learn history along the way. Would be good to take a bus if you want to cover more sites. Joggers are highly recommended and so is water and understanding of Chinese language.
