They did me dirty. Incident time: 30 Nov 2025 at 4.28 pm. I purchased the Scarborough Maxi dress from the online store as Adelaide never had the Scarborough series, so I never had a chance to try it on before purchase. Unfortunately, the dress did not fit. I submitted the return request online immediately through the Zimmermann website, choosing the reason as “too large”, and added two sentences to briefly explain. I had a brief, smiley chat with the two ladies when I returned the dress at the Burnside store only one hour after receiving it, explaining that I had to order blindly and the cut was not suited to my physique. The ladies smiled and said “no worries”, whilst sneakily changing the return reason to “change of mind”. I am unsure if that made their lives easier. They did not give my original receipt back, and I have not received the money yet (although I am able to wait a few more days for the bank). I have no idea why they changed my reason for return without my consent.
Another incident occurred just before the sale started. I wanted the Rhiannon green dress. They said they could not hold it for longer than 24 hours, which was fine. However, they suggested I leave my mobile number, retrieved my account (with about 28 prior purchases), and told me they would send me a link on Wednesday so that I could pay the sale price and pick up the dress in store on Thursday. I checked my email on Wednesday night and received no email.
