Phoenix’s 18 Most Iconic Dishes

"There’s a lot to love at Matt Carter’s French bistro in Kierland Commons, including a duck confit sandwich, Parmesan-truffle fries, a sidewalk patio perfect for people-watching, and a dreamy, labor-intensive chocolate soufflé (which could be classified as an endangered species). Made with premium Valrhona chocolate and dusted with powdered sugar, it’s an intensely chocolatey puff of air, which the server deflates at the table with a spoon, filling its molten core with rich, creamy sauce (chocolate or Grand Marnier, take your pick) poured from a tiny pitcher. The larger, shareable soufflé takes 30 minutes to bake, so plan accordingly, or order an individual size, which is ready in under 20 minutes." - Nikki Buchanan, Chris Malloy

We started our anniversary dinner at Zinc Bistro in Scottsdale with oysters, which were absolutely delicious and fresh, a perfect start, especially since it was Bastille Day and they were quite a steal. We enjoyed a few glasses of their delightful Chardonnay alongside. For the main course, I had the lobster special, which was incredibly rich, decadent, and flavorful, paired perfectly with a side of beautifully layered potatoes. My husband ordered an additional fish dish that was equally wonderful; the mussels included were simply divine. Of course, we couldn’t resist the French fries, our longtime favorite here. To celebrate our anniversary, they surprised us with a luscious chocolate soufflé that capped off the meal perfectly. Despite the indoor area being full, we were fortunate to sit in the charming garden outside, which added a lovely ambiance, even with the summer heat. The meal was superb, indulgent, and the service was absolutely fabulous, one of our best dining experiences in Scottsdale.

What can I tell you about this French restaurant in the famed Scottsdale Kierland Commons? On a blistering hot day I walked into the restaurant for lunch with a half full Diet Coke can in my hand. Instead of telling me "no outside food or drink allowed" the host saw my Diet Coke, acknowledged it, and brought me a glass with ice for it and then lots of Diet Coke refills, all at no charge. What else do I need to become a lifetime customer? Who does this? I can't tell you how much this moved me. The food was off the charts good, the next best thing to being in Paris. Salad lettuce farm fresh, salmon refreshing, steak cooked to perfection, crispy seasoned fries with no oily aftertaste. 10/10. I give every part of this meal five stars, but the service is what won me over. Definitely give them a try if it's been a while because they are tried and true, a local gem.

Overall really nice experience. I haven't been to this restaurant over a decade. It was one of those places I was looking forward to coming back to when moving back to the valley. My only complaint was the bread. It was cold, and parts of it were burnt, and the butter was impossible to spread because it was so cold. Warming it up would be better. Otherwise, my steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The fries were good, and the dessert was wonderful. My friend enjoyed her crab salad as well. This will definitely be one of my go-tos when I want a good steak. Our server was friendly, attentive, and adorable.

Fantastic meal at zinc bistro! We made a reservation, were late and they still sat us and didn’t make us feel rushed. The Pinot braised beef short rib melts in your mouth, such depth in flavor. The star was the poulet rôti, this dish is made from scratch every time and was delicious, especially the sauce on the side, I highly recommend it! We finished off with their crème brûlée which was fantastic. Mayra was our server, she made out experience that much better. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I can’t wait to come back!

I’m not usually one to go for French cuisine, but Zinc Bistro has been on my list for a while — and I finally had the chance to try it yesterday. I’m so glad I did! From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm and welcoming. The hostess was incredibly friendly, and our waitress, Catherine, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, sweet, and made sure our group felt taken care of the entire evening. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful — elegant yet relaxed. I really wish it hadn’t been so hot out because their outdoor area is stunning. I would’ve loved to sit out there, but it was just too warm. Maybe adding some misters or a few more fans would help make it more enjoyable during the hotter months, because the setting truly is lovely. As for the food — while the menu didn’t have a ton of options I’d normally go for, I decided to play it safe and ordered the tuna tartare with a side of asparagus. And WOW — I was blown away. The tuna tartare had such a unique and delicious flavor combination, and the asparagus was cooked to absolute perfection — just the right amount of firmness and crunch. Another small note — the Eiffel Tower decor inside is such a beautiful and charming touch! I’d recommend clearing the area around it just a bit, so guests can take photos without distractions in the background. It’s a great feature that deserves to be highlighted. Even as someone who doesn’t typically gravitate toward French food, I’d definitely come back for those dishes and am now curious to try more. Great service, relaxing ambiance, and standout flavors made this a truly memorable dining experience.

Megan was a fabulous server, made great recommendations on the food and drinks while also checking on my date and I. Food was great, everything was super fresh and delicious. Would come back again.

Google
We had a good meal. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. The bar was lively and loud, but the dining area was quieter for a romantic meal. Fairly straight forward French cuisine and oyster bar. Food was well prepared and presented. The desserts were limited but outstanding. Overall very reasonable prices, though not cheap.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation but were quickly seated. The restaurant was very nice but very loud. I wasn't able to hear my wife seated across from me. I expected it to be a little quieter ins nice place. The steak frites weren't bad but they weren't great. I don't think they were worth what we paid. The wine was great and the service was worth returning but I'd probably only give it one more try before making a real decision about returning.

Yelp
Very overpriced, but it's Scottsdale. The French onion soup was good, but it wasn't $24/bowl good. I've had much better for $6. It cost more than my main entree which was also ok. Very noisy. I won't come back. The best part was the starting bread service.

Yelp
We had a really nice experience here at Zinc Bistro. Zinc Bistro is located at Kierland Commons and makes you feel like you are eating at a romantic sidewalk cafe in Paris. They even have an Eiffel Tower display inside of the restaurant. I booked a reservation for two and we were given a basket of French bread and butter to start off with. Zinc Bistro provides a nice setting for conversation. I was on a first date and it was the perfect place to get to know someone while enjoying delicious food. The food was really good and so was the service. Zinc Bistro brings shellfish daily that includes oysters, clams, mussels and lobster. My date is a big oyster fan and really enjoyed the oysters here. I got the Herbed Potato Gnocchi as my entrée. Overall, we had a nice time drinking wine while enjoying the ambiance here at Zinc Bistro. The pricing was very reasonable for the level of the experience.

Yelp
Zinc Bistro was truly a standout dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we were wrapped in the warm, upscale ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between classy and comfortable. It is elegant but inviting- perfect for a date night, celebration, or just treating yourself to an incredible meal! Every single staff member that we talk to was absolutely amazing and we felt so welcomed! The food. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with care. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in every dish. We ordered the half dozen of oysters to start... They were fresh and delicious (highly recommend!), the zinc house frites with truffle dipping sauce (crispy and absolutely some of the best fries we've ever had), the prime flat iron steak with the the au poivre sauce (cooked to perfection and DELICIOUSSSSSS), the Caesar salad (SUPERB), the roasted bone marrow appetizer (just trust me and get this one!! We put the bone marrow and mushrooms on our steak and IT. WAS. LIFE. CHANGING.) and the mac & cheese (the best mac & cheese we have ever had!!!) The bar. The wine list here was top-notch. Ali, the bartender- His energy, hospitality, and attention to detail took our experience to the next level. His exceptional knowledge of the wine and drinks was superb! He also made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. He's the kind of bartender who doesn't just mix drinks -- he curates moments. Funny, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his craft, Ali is an absolute gem!!! If you're visiting Zinc Bistro, try these amazing dishes and do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar and ask for Ali -- you'll leave with a new favorite drink and a smile on your face. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Had a fabulous lunch at Zinc with a girlfriend! We sat in the quaint patio area in the back of the restaurant. I love the ambiance and the server was so attentive! We truly enjoyed our meals! I had my favorite there- the crab omelette is divine! It's so fluffy and filled with delicious crab! My girlfriend loved her meal as well- the curry chicken sandwich. They always use fresh ingredients and beautifully present the dishes! I will be back again!!

Yelp
This is our second visit. We just are visiting but had such fond memories of our visit before! It did NOT disappoint! Such fabulous food. French flair and a great open bar vibe. We ate in the restaurant and always like this because your seated neighbors become dining companions! We had the French onion soup, the fresh bread, the omelette, the seafood soup, and a mini soufle. Mwah wait staff is always attentive and prompt. Thank you!

Yelp
We sat down 5:55 PM and did not have our drink orders taken until 6:15. That should've given us a clue the night was going to be long. We left at about 9:20 pm. So I am not going to talk about the flavor or quality of the food because everyone talks about the food and it's very good. The only thing I'm going to refer to here is the service by our server Myra, which seemed like it was going to be nice and professional, and it sort of was except it was so slow and then we started noticing all of the things that were not happening - an apology for the slow entree service sounded like we were getting comped two glasses of wine - which weren't. So it was probably failure of communication, which kind of kept going on all night long. We wanted to order dinner, and she said she would be back - and then it was another 15 or 20 minutes before she took the orders after 7 pm. Appetizer/salads arrived, (wedge salad is definitely not worth the price given what was on the plate) and then it took forever for the entrées to come out. The kitchen must've been in the weeds. She did come out and apologize once, and then it still took quite a long time for the entrees. Probably 45 minutes. To top it all off a dessert soufflé, which needed to be ordered at the beginning of the meal, was brought out for the person who ordered it before the server took anyone else's other dessert orders. We asked for plates to share the soufflé and we said we wanted to order other desserts and then she either didn't hear us, didn't listen or just forgot to come back because the soufflé was completely consumed and another 10 minutes (?) went by until I had to go to the hostess station to find out where our server had gone. She had vanished. Then she came back with a really bad attitude because she probably had "gotten a yelling" and even smarted back "I brought the plates to share" and we said "yes, and we told you we wanted to order other desserts, and you never came back" and her eyes opened widely, and she realized she had screwed up. Then it took at least another 10 to 15 minutes after the ice cream desserts were consumed to find her to get the bill. My guess is that it is a communication problem because it is so loud in that restaurant and she probably couldn't hear us but the amount of time between her returning to the table at each service point was unacceptable and we should've been comped something, at least the desserts that were ordered at the end, after we had to find her. The food was good, some items not warm enough, and it's wildly expensive especially given the slow and less than exemplary service Maybe we will return a different day of the week and at a time when they would not be in the weeds and I would most definitely request a different server.

Yelp
Nice French restaurant located in Kierland. The menu offers a variety of items which all sound delicious and everything we ordered was presented nicely. The ambiance is nice for either a romantic evening (even though a bit loud) or dinner with a group of friends/family. The patio was quite inviting although it was a bit cold so we sat inside. Our booth for five was in a quaint corner of the restaurant and we enjoyed the decor. Our server was a bit unhappy until the end of our meal, but overall we enjoyed our meal and had a positive experience.

Yelp
Food: French onion soup was no joke! I was all about it and the chocolate soufflé was out of this world Drinks: I ordered a Kir Royale and loved it!! Service: hostess was great, server was fine Ambiance: wow I can't believe I haven't been here before. The patio is gorgeous, you almost feel like you're in France. Misc: pricey but worth it and best suited for a fancy lunch or special occasion

Yelp
This area has lots of dining choices and Zinc is a fun, tasty spot. The space offers multiple areas such as dual patios, bar seating and a dining room. Our server was very welcoming and provided elevated bistro service. The food was good, the mussels were the highlight for us. We got the crab salad and the grilled chicken ceasar. My Titos martini was well made. The prices are on the higher end but I can justify for the overall experience.

Yelp
Located in the little shopping area, Kierland Commons, the indoor/outdoor French bistro vibe was so enjoyable while mild December temperatures spoiled us while visited Scottsdale. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, albeit they were a smidge slow, they were busy for the Thursday lunch hour. Yummies ordered; French onion soup (oui, so good!), crab salad (tres bon!) and the Zinc salad with raw shrimp (magnifique!) We'll definitely return one day....au revoir.

Yelp
Weekends are for being a little decadent! At least I think so. I decided it had been a minute since I had been to Zinc Bistro and we had guests in town and it would be fun to take them to breakfast at Zinc before their flight home. First off, Sunday at 10am was busy but not slammed. They have a tiered down breakfast menu and the full brunch menu starts at 11am. I personally loved the menu- simple- French and delicious! I had a cappuccino and followed that with a glass of Taittinger champagne. I had the Oeufs Cocettes .. a coddled jidori egg over pomme purée in a glass and a perfect crisp bread. This looks a bit different on the later brunch menu.. but I LOVED this perfect breakfast or petite déjeuner, as the French would say! Our waitress was so sweet and explained the menu , rather was able to accommodate our rather picky guests who wanted several 'accommodations' not on the menu! She even brought me a surprise at the end of the meal for my upcoming birthday this week.. ( I think that must have been at the hand of my husband?? ) and it was delicious! Perfect Sunday start and Zinc Bistro is perfect in its nod to French bistro cafes in Paris !

Yelp
Husband and I celebrated our 14th anniversary at Zinc Bistro a few Fridays ago. Apparently we were dressed so nicely that immediately upon arriving, the staff thought we were part of a wedding reception that was happening. Straight from the Husband's mouth - I had no qualms about anything we ate. Which is an amazing thing considering it is a rare thing to happen when we dine out. Everything was delicious, well seasoned and balanced. Very rich! I especially enjoyed the pork belly, the sauce was amazing! Enjoyed everything i sunk my teeth into! It is now on my definitely want to return ASAP and special occasion restaurant list!! That right there sums it up in a nutshell! The items we ordered - Market oysters - Blue Points, delicious as always! Steak Tartare - So good! Kurobuta Pork Belly - Husband really liked this one Pinot Braised Beef Short Rib - Husbands which he raved about! Diver Scallops - Mine and so freaking good!! Haricots Verts - Prepared just the way i like them! Cooked but not to death. We also had a mushroom side, but I don't think it is on the menu anymore. Husband loved them, but they were too sweet for me. Zinc Valrhona Chocolate Souffle - sent complementary for our anniversary. :) We'll be back!!!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Chocolate soufflé.... And it's delicious everything we've had here is really good. A couple times I've noticed the service is not as good as the food. We did mention it to the manager this last time because only the server serving our table would actually look at us. The others would look over us as though they didn't even see us. The food's worth returning and I hope the service is better next time.

Yelp
3.5. We never go out on Valentine's Day for a reason but we were traveling, so had to go out and we're thinking a French restaurant would have this. Not really. It was a prix fixe 3 course. We had reservations but it was chaotic in there and we seemed to be purposely ignored by the women at the front. As we were turning to leave and just go to Shake Shack and call it a night, they finally acknowledged us and stopped talking to each other. Seated in the covered dining area past the entry dining room thankfully. If we were going to be seated in that chaotic main area, we would have left. Once seated it was a lovely setting and not too noisy. Our waiter was charming but definitely seemed stressed. We got our champagne promptly but never got the amuse bouche tart. I timed it --after the champagne was served, it took 45 min for the first course which was just a salad and a foie gras mousse concoction. The beet arugula salad was delicious! The foie gras app was generously portioned but just too rich and salty and heavy. Wish I'd opted for the tuna. We both ordered the filet. A little overcooked but I can forgive that on Valentine's Day. The potatoes were delicious but the whole dish was drowned in a delicious Madeira reduction. The sauce was delicious but it killed the other items in the dish. That seems like a rookie mistake. Also, the filet was overloaded with black pepper to the point they might have thought about adding au poivre to the description. Dessert options looked delicious. I got the crème brûlée which was tasty but the crème was too watery. The vanilla soufflé, however, was absolutely perfect! One of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Out waiter had great wine suggestions and we totally appreciated that! After missing the amuse and a very long wait for the appetizer, service picked up but it still was two and a half hours. Probably because of Valentine's Day I know. It wasn't the best experience but they were one of the better places that I've been to that handled that holiday. Hopefully next time we're back we can try it on a non holiday! I think I would really like it then.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. But it was disappointing. We arrived for Sunday brunch and were seated right away. I tried their French omelette, which is soft scrambled eggs, mascarpone, smoked salmon, onion, grilled house bread, lemon dill sauce. I can't believe how salty this omelette was! I could not eat it. Our server also forgot our hot sauce so I had to wait to get that. Thank God we had ordered another dish - steak and braised beef short rib. They were something I could eat but were they out of this world delicious? No. It was nothing special for the price. I also didn't like their Zinc Bloody Mary, which was also very salty. I don't know why their food is so salty. So I couldn't finish this either. See photos of the food below. Ambiance is fine. They have enough seating. Overall I didn't have the best experience at this place in terms of service or food.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner with friends. We were seated outside but apparently in a "no man's land"'because our service was uncharacteristically SLOW. Have been to Zinc many times and we know the food is great and so is the service usually. Not this time. We actually had to stop another server while inside on the way to the restroom to ask for our assigned server to please come take our order. She ghosted us Once the order was placed, food came very quickly and was great (gnocchi, moules and beet salad all super yummy). Once again, never saw our server until well after we had finished food. Because we were visiting with friends we don't see often we passed the time fine, but just wish the service hadn't been so noticeably lacking.

Yelp
As a recommendation we made reservations here, first time in Scottsdale, the ambience was very pleasant the vibe was great. Our server was helpful however the wait between the time we ordered drinks, starters, and the entrees was a very long wait. The food was tasty on some fronts. The short ribs were good and the scallops were good as well, but 3 scallops per entree was a little lacking. We were offered chocolate soufflé for wait times but there was a wait for that also. Zinc seems very popular for this area. If you're not in a hurry it's worth a try.

Yelp
Beautiful day out on patio. Dog friendly. Checked in and perusing menu. Lots of authentic French and Belgium dishes. Starting with nice Sancerre and some pate maison. Moving on to bouillabaisse and a chocolate soufflé for dessert. Food is fantastic, service is outstanding. A VERY pleasant lunch today. Will def come back, but so many places at Kierlands to try. This is a go to if I get confused!!!!!!!

Yelp
Came here for a casual Sunday lunch and loved it. I had heard good things from a friend and was excited to try! I had the salad with foie gras and endive and some oysters. I forgot the type, but they were the ones from Washington and they were phenomenal! I had never had oysters served with a vinaigrette type topping but that was better than the traditional topping served. Loved it here!

Yelp
I have not been here for a while, but I've been back for the last two weekends lol. Forgot how great this place is! Great ambience, great service, great food!! I love coming here for brunch. Their omelette is freaking fantastic and amazing. I get a side of the french fries they have the most best yummy delicious crispy french fries thin french fries should I add, with a glass of champagne the perfect meal. They have great selection of wine, and I love their charcuterie boards as well.

Yelp
We were in the mood for a lingering lunch before our movie and decided to come to Zinc this past Saturday. As usual we had a fantastic meal. This time we had Maria, who has always taken great care of us. It can be a bit loud in the front room, and she was extremely gracious when we asked to be moved to a slightly quieter table that opened up. She will always make great recommendations whenever we have questions. I started with a Ricard while we got settled in. Their oysters are always fresh so we decided to start with a dozen. I was in the mood for their steak frites and it was cooked perfectly. We decided to skip desert as we had a movie to catch but their souffle is always delicious. There is a lot of good food in the Valley, but there aren't a lot of great servers. Zinc is one of the few places that has both! We are always treated like family and that's a big reason why we enjoy going so much. Myra always makes it a point to say hello and ask how we are doing, even when she isn't our server. Anne does the same thing and stopped by to make sure everything was okay when she happened to notice that we ended up switching tables. It was great to catch up and we enjoyed sharing what had been going on for us. Frankie always provides us with excellent service as well and will also say hello whenever he sees us. He has great wine pairing ideas so don't ever hesitate to ask. If you're in the mood for delicious French food AND you want to be treated like family, we can't recommend Zinc enough!

Yelp
Went to dinner for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Service was great! The food was wonderful from the wedge salad, scallops in a creamy risotto sauce, mussels and the short ribs. And for dessert Chocolate mousse! Wonderful.

Yelp
Zinc Bistro was on our itinerary for date night. I would say a strong 4/5 stars. Very good and price was reasonable. It is French inspired food and atmosphere. I would recommend the crab crepe and foie gras highly which are both shareable. The cocktails were amazing. Had the French blonde cocktail which was refreshing. The steak and frites which I ordered the filet mignon and my husband the NY strip was good. We both got the au poivre sauce which is peppery but personally because I'm a purist, would order that on the side. But he bill was less than $200 which was good. All in all, enjoyable but would tweak the choices. Very romantic too by the way although also a good for get togethers. Our server was nice.

Yelp
YUM! what an amazing service and delicious food. The French onion soup and steak were some of the best I've ever had including in Paris. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The soup is famous and was featured on the food network and it was superb.

Yelp
My boss and his wife took me out here for lunch. We tried a variety of dishes including the smoked tuna salad, grilled chicken Caesar salad, truffle parmeson fries and the croque monsieur. Everyone was delicious and the portion sizes were large. All I can say is that it was very loud in there so it was a little hard to hear each other across the table. But everyone was hiding from the June summer heat in Arizona. I would def be back when it's cooler and will enjoy the outside patio seating areas.

Spent Sunday evening at the bar with Ali--exceptional service and impressively knowledgeable about the menu. I had the flat iron au poivre with frites, bone marrow, mac and cheese, and Caesar salad. The bone marrow, topped with a generous helping of sautéed mushrooms, made for a stunning complement to the steak. A fantastic experience all around.

Yelp
10/10 in every way! I could write a novel but I'm keeping this nice and short. EVERY part of my experience was exceptional. This is my staple recommendation for the foreseeable future. Service was impeccable (Mike was a complete pleasure)

Yelp
My husband and I have been wanting to try out Zinc for awhile now and were pleasantly surprised! We thought the restaurant was a lot smaller than it actually is, it felt like you were transported into Paris. The service was great, our drinks were always filled and our food came out at a good pace. We started with the French onion soup, if you like French onion soup this one will blow you away. It was everything we wanted it to be! For our mains we both got the steak frites, I got the filet mignon and my husband got the prime flat iron. His came with black peppercorn sauce and I got that one as well, it wasn't my favorite sauce personally. The fries were good, could have been a little bit more crispy but overall really yummy. We ended the meal off with a chocolate soufflé that we took home with chocolate sauce with grand marnier sauce, I would just pick the chocolate sauce next time but the soufflé was great! Definitely will be back again!

Yelp
I went here the other day, enjoying a by myself day while doing some shopping and having lunch. I had the French onion soup with extra cheese and it was wonderful! I also had a spicy margarita with Taheen and it was delicious! I sat at the bar and enjoyed my service there with the bartenders. The service was nice And attentive but not intrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and I look forward to coming back. I encourage others to come here as well. It's such a cute little darling place!

Yelp
Love this place. Classy and the outdoor seating reminds me of Paris. The menu is quite extensive and lots of good choices, catering to different types of palate. My husband and I shared the patè and onion soup. The patè was magnifique, I wonder where they get it from as the store bought bones are not the same. And the onion soup? It was superb, perfect and the Gruyère cheese was very gooey and cheesy and nicely melted! I had the filet, steak frittes, and this was a disappointment because it was medium to well and I asked for medium rare. The fries were good and a big helping. My husband had the smoked salmon with goat cheese flatbread which had a fancy name, tarte flambee. We had a complimentary chocolate soufflé and it was a perfect way to end our meal! Our server was French and she didn't speak much English but she was great. We were seated in a corner, more quiet area so it was nice and romantic. This place is highly recommended.

Yelp
For September's International Supper Club UYE Zinc Bistro was the place that we picked. The day came for us to meet up, I had made reservations before arriving and was pleasantly surprised to know the table was ready before the time. After everyone was seated, we started off with drink orders, I went with a French 75, a champagne cocktail with empress indigo gin, fresh lemon, simple syrup and a Hennessy float, this was a nice cocktail, a good way to start the meal. I knew before I arrived that I wanted the Onion Soup, it was a traditional onion soup with bubbling six mount aged AOP gruyere cheese. I had been craving French onion soup and this hit the spot, the caramelized onions, the hearty savory broth the croutons covered in melted gruyere cheese, oh so dang good! Glad we gave Zinc a try and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
We had a really nice dinner and nice service, They cram the tables together Little table tops with less than a foot between tables Could hear every word of every conversation except our own . Unacceptable for a $260 meal for 2

Yelp
While I've only eaten at the bar, the service literally cannot get any better. The bar staff is at reference level where you compare other places to Zinc's bar staff's performance. It's that good. The food is so good it's almost a shame I mention it second. Absolutely wonderful. Decor is very cool too. Top notch!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Service is outstanding and you really feel like you're in a French bistro. The flat iron steak frites is so perfect. We get it almost every time.

Yelp
First of all if your going to a French Cafe/Bistro expect a pinch of rudeness. It's been my experience that it is the French way & that's wonderful but just be aware of it.The cafe's decor is very much French all the way down to the music that is played but it's a very relaxing, romantic & peaceful ambiance. Good to take a date, meat a girlfriend/friends, definitely have cocktails or meet someone for an appetizer & drink. The menu did not appear kid friendly to me, plus sitting inside there's a lot for kids to grab & mess around with that they probably shouldn't bother. You actually feel like you're in France enjoy a meal at a little cafe. The outdoor seating is the best & provides lots of people watching & entertainment, but the seating is super crammed & tight. Just be aware that if your having a private conversation, everyone can hear Service was good, thank you Raeanne but it seemed a little unorganized at times but got the job done. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Just good, clean, healthy food. There was nothing that I craved to make me go back on my own again but if friends wanted something French & wanted to go there, I'd go with them. The location is amazing because it sits on a corner in a outdoor drive up, walk around shooing center where there's lots of stores, restaurants & shopping.

Yelp
Brunch is great. You can order off the brunch or lunch menu. I loved the French toast and spent the rest of my morning on a sugar high. Very comfortable restaurant with attentive service.

Yelp
One of my favorite French restaurants in AZ so far! While it is usually pretty busy, service was a bit slow in the beginning but the server was amazing and paid a lot of attention to minor details to provide the best service. The food was exceptional as I was not disappointed with any dishes we got. The moules marinieres and pate maison were personal favorites as well as the bouillabaisse.

Yelp
The food options and quality here are fine but service has been a bit inconsistent at times and I find this restaurant to be quite expensive. Not a place I would stop for an enjoyable snack or happy hour. I remember ordering the French onion soup here once having heard it's the best in town but I was a bit underwhelmed. It's been a while since then so perhaps that's gotten better.

Yelp
A brief visit for a light lunch and our visitor from Europe was impressed with the restaurant, an overall experience. We reserved table online & got the table in the garden (outdoor on a lovely day) with some nice options of champagne to top it off. Food was tasty to our liking: crab crepes, croque monsieur, and French fries were light & perfectly pairing with champagne. Crème brûlée & Soufflé & Beignets paired well with the espressos. We enjoyed our dining experience here & recommend to other Yelpers. It's rare to find a good service & quality food.

Yelp
Zinc Bistro is one of our most favorite places to eat - very romantic, excellent food and stellar service. They are ultra attentive without being invasive at all. We love dining in the inner courtyard but the bar can be a lot of fun if you feel in the mood

Yelp
We always have a phenomenal experience at Zinc! We love sitting in the courtyard when it's not too hot but the ambiance is great inside too. The French onion soup and omelette are elite. It's a great place to take out of town guests - everyone we have taken there has absolutely loved the food and entire experience. Highly recommend!
