Zincenco Kitchen

"Offering something a little different, this restaurant is located within a residential apartment, but there’s certainly nothing amateurish or domestic about it; it's even licensed. There are six tables – for a maximum of 14 diners – and all guests are asked to arrive at 7pm, which helps contribute to the supper party atmosphere. You ring doorbell 31 and are greeted by your hosts Zaida Inez Kiss and Igor Zincenco, who go on to fully explain each well-balanced, satisfying dish which features on the modern menu inspired by Hungarian classics." - Michelin Inspector

The staff and food were superb! I definitely recommend making a reservation and enjoying an evening here! It’s situated like a dinner party experience, with great ambiance and an intimate setting with your table. The chef comes around and talks with each table, adding a personal touch to the evening.

This was a fantastic experience. The food was sublime and the way we could follow and interact with the chef team was truly special. Haven’t tried anything like it.

Fabulous food, great service and intimate atmosphere. The food was really excellent, prepared right in front of you. Igor was an excellent host, dedicating time to explain the concept of the restaurant and each dish. The whole restaurant is one room, seating a total of 12 people. Very comfy and intimate fine dining experience. Highly recommend it - just know it's around 3-4 hours experience, but it feels well paced. Would come again.

I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. This restaurant is set in the living room of an apartment trucked away on an unassuming back street. It has only about 5 tables and a very intimate feel. It is clearly a very loved restaurant. Every detail is so thoughtful and considered. The food was exceptional, and the overall atmosphere was less sterile than the majority of tasting menus I've tried. It was refreshingly casual, and there weren't too many additional amuse bouches and filler courses, so for once, I didn't end up leaving overly full. If you're into food, this is probably the most unique eating experience you will find in Budapest, and it is worth it alone for how unique it is. Be aware it's an eating experience - it takes four hours from start to finish. Worth every second.

Hidden behind a typical residential front door is a small (7 tables for 2) dining experience created by 3 extraordinary chefs. Inspired by the dinner parties they held with friends, they recreate an intimate atmosphere with wonderful food. Mirrors above the work station allow diners to see the food being prepared and presented. Guests are invited to get up, take a look and ask questions. No menu is offered, it is simply course after course of delicious food, paired with regional Hungarian wines or a non alcoholic pairing is also available. Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening for one sitting commencing at 7pm.

I wanted to put a few words together in regards to my and my sister’s experience at this wonderful place , when we visited in May 2023. What a night it was! We visited Budapest purely as a food trip/experience. The apartment was stylish decorated with a touch of simplicity, and we liked the feel of the room, the cosy lights and the open kitchen areas where you could follow the process making of the food. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and the wine was divine. We went for the Hungarian wine menu, and it was such a pleasant surprise - paired perfectly to the food. The hosts, Igor and his partner, was incredibly attentive and made time for all their guests. Any information about the food and wine was presented and answered to the smallest detail, and out of all the restaurants (and the Michelin restaurants in Budapest we tried) this was by far the best experience. We cannot recommend this place enough!!

I found Zincenco Kitchen on Reddit. I searched must eat fine dine in Budapest. I’m in love with its concept, very intimate, story behind the dish, and just how they elevate each course. All courses were delicious but some were really outstandingly divine. 1. The middle watermelon on the 3rd dish, topped with pork lard was mind blowing. I wish it was bigger😅 2. The pretzel bread was very tasty 3. Elevated beef goulash was perfectly cooked. 4. I love the dessert. When they served the sweet wine, it was very sweet and I do not like sweet wines. I said, if the dessert has any hint of sweetness then it’s not going to work well. But they instead serve a bland cream with velvety creamy texture with raspberry on the side which perfectly complemented the wine. Overall, satisfied customer.

What a wonderful place! The food is really good: surprising and balanced. They stay close to Hungarian kitchen, but with a modern twist. The Hungarian wine pairing is really good, the wines are tasty and they perfectly complement the dishes. The atmosphere is unique, it’s cosy and it truly feels like dinner at a friends place and Igor does everything to make the guests feel welcomed. Definitely recommended!
