I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. This restaurant is set in the living room of an apartment trucked away on an unassuming back street. It has only about 5 tables and a very intimate feel.
It is clearly a very loved restaurant. Every detail is so thoughtful and considered. The food was exceptional, and the overall atmosphere was less sterile than the majority of tasting menus I've tried. It was refreshingly casual, and there weren't too many additional amuse bouches and filler courses, so for once, I didn't end up leaving overly full.
If you're into food, this is probably the most unique eating experience you will find in Budapest, and it is worth it alone for how unique it is. Be aware it's an eating experience - it takes four hours from start to finish. Worth every second.
