Zingerman's Greyline

The space has a nice decor but is a bit smaller than I thought it would be from the outside. The event we attended was served from a buffet and had some of the best buffet food we have had. If the short ribs were served at their Roadhouse we would order them frequently.

Went to a wedding here. Catering was wonderful, food was delicious, decor was beautiful.

If I could give 5 million stars, I would! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Zingerman's Greyline and catering are! We were originally supposed to have our wedding in April 2020, but the universe had other plans! Thankfully, the staff at Zingerman's were able to work with us to postpone to a later date. It finally happened May 2022, and I will say, it was even BETTER than I dreamed it would be after four years of engagement and two years of postponement. First, we worked closely with Bryan and Terra. These folks are absolutely amazing! You cannot get better than the customer service from Zingerman's! Both Bryan and Terra were knowledgeable, helpful, thoughtful, and just so incredibly kind! It was not surprising then when the wedding day came and the rest of the staff were also so wonderful. It felt as if they all were there to make our day special and genuinely tried to make sure we had a wonderful time. Aside from the amazing customer service, the food was the best food I've ever had at a wedding, and many of our guests remarked the same. I loved how many options there were and how we were able to customize some things as well. We highly recommend the savory puffs and latkes for appetizers, the marinated beef and roasted potatoes for dinner, and the sliders and mac n cheese bar for the late night snack! We opted to go with individual fruit tarts for dessert, which is something that wasn't on the catering menu, but is something that the bakehouse made. Of course, they were delicious and so beautiful. Everything was truly amazing! Finally, the space itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the alcohol selection was top-notch! We loved how there really wasn't much decorating that needed to be done. The beers were mostly Michigan beer, which was also very important to us. We wouldn't have wanted to have our wedding anywhere else. Thank you, Zingerman's, from the bottom of our hearts, for making our special day so very special! We will be recommending Zingerman's catering to everyone we know and using it for all of our special occasions in the future!

We had our 120 person wedding at Greyline and we could not have asked for a more perfect venue! It is gorgeous on the inside and more modern than your traditional wedding venue. We got so many compliments on the space as well as the food - some people said it was the best they'd ever had at a wedding! But the real star here is the staff. Stephanie, our event coordinator through Zingerman's, was immensely helpful and kind throughout the entire process. Her responses were prompt, she gave helpful suggestions, and she worked with us throughout the whole process to ensure it was a perfect day. She is the positive, calming, and organized presence you want leading up to and on your wedding day! The bartenders, waiters, and all staff we encountered were amazing. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a wedding or event venue!

The newly renovated Greyline is a beautiful classy restaurant offering an amazing ambiance. The food we were offered was a buffet...and was "good". The chicken dish was over done and dry, however, the flavors were very good. The beans were very tough and only warm and came across tough and under cooked. The butter being offered was cold and very difficult to spread...maybe next time try whipped butter to ease convenience of use. Secondly, too many persons where being crammed onto a table. No one had enough room to eat without elbowing the person sitting next to them. Consider setting 10 persons per table instead 12 or more. The staff was amazing! Great and friendly service to all the patrons. The bar öacked beers on tap, but made up for it with there pleasurable mixed drinks. All-in-all, a good experience!

Our wedding reception was handled perfectly from the set up to the serving to the fantastic food. I cannot say enough about our event coordinator, Bryan, who worked with us for months to come up with the menu and room layout, and during the event to coordinate everything so that it turned out the way we expected.

Meh. Not great, not horrible. Definitely does not live up to the Zingerman's name. Pros: Great location, Pleasant decor Cons: Food was creative but subpar execution (other than the salad), Staff seemed annoyed, inexperienced at food service and ready to get out of there, Left there feeling like if I never went there again that would be fine. Could've been an off evening, but I wouldn't use them.

I want to throw every party at Greyline. The venue has a neat vibe that requires no decorating, and with Zingerman’s providing the food, you know it’s going to be good. Terra was fabulous to work with, incredibly accommodating with down-to-the-minute changes due to Covid, and went absolutely above-and-beyond (I will never forget her tracking down and picking up a keg of the most popular beer when it ran out early in the reception).

Was here for an A2Y Chamber networking event. The event space was great - there were some delicious hors d'oeuvres (including cheese from the creamery!) They also had a bar with reasonably-priced drinks (with a lovely bartender.) The space is a little uninviting given its huge ceilings and somewhat cold decor... but overall it's a really nice space. I'm not sure how much renting this place out costs, so that could be an issue. Also, the parking is obviously limited given that it's downtown. Those lots are ridiculously expensive, which makes a cheap event become a bit more expensive. I think that I paid as much for parking as I did the event. *Shaking fist at downtown A2*

I was recently at a wedding reception at Greyline. The service was friendly but horrible. Bartenders were ridiculously slow and didn't know how to make a long island ice tea. It was an open bar with barely any selections. They only had one bottle of tequila. They cleared up the food before it could even cool down. It relies super rushed and cheap. I know it must've been pretty expensive for the family and they were cheated. As an Ann Arbor staple I was disgusted. Do better Zingermans!!

Nice event space and delicious food. What else would you expect from Zingerman's? Was there for a private event. Menu included delicious wine, roasted chicken with green beans, and an almond dessert. They did a great job accommodating nut allergies for a guest and coordinating the microphone and playing music in between speeches.

This is an incredible addition to the Ann Arbor life . What a great venue. The name "Zingerman's" is always makes the standard really high and indeed it live up to its name . Fantastic venue for private parties or events. The best thing is it's location. Just in the middle of AA Downtown. There were many near by parking lots along with street parking. I was there in a Sunday evening for one of my friends birthday dinner and it was just perfect. The food and the service was spectacular. I really enjoyed the drinks from the bar. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
