"A Michigan deli's virtual market that offers a wide array of subscription gifts, including the Reuben Sandwich Gift Club ($375), which "delivers all the essentials to make the deli’s iconic Reuben sandwich at home for three months," and the Snack Club ($115), which sends a different assortment of goodies every month." - Amy McCarthy

What a Zingerman’s Employee Makes for Dinner During the Holiday Rush | Eater

"Often described as a culinary Santa’s workshop, this mail-order operation is built around curating artisanal food gifts: a longtime employee, Brad Hedeman (with the company since 1994), travels to meet producers, gathers their stories, and writes the catalog and website copy to showcase those products. Planning for catalogs begins months in advance, but the business concentrates an astonishing share of its sales in the holiday season — roughly 50% of annual revenue in a seven-week window and about 25% in the week before Christmas — so a core team of about 100 employees is boosted by several hundred seasonal hires to handle the surge. The emphasis is on thoughtful selection and storytelling to bring small producers to a wider mail-order audience." - Ali Slagle

How to Send Baked Goods in the Mail | Eater

"The mail-order baker advises choosing dense, forgiving items—quick breads, bundt and coffee cakes, and pies with crumb toppings—because they withstand transit best. Freezing wrapped goods (tightly in plastic wrap or zip-top bags, even frozen in a desired arrangement) both firms them for shipping and helps preserve freshness; insulated containers aren’t required, and frozen items can simply defrost en route. The team warns against water-soluble packing materials, recommends filling all voids so nothing shifts, suggests labeling packages perishable, and urges sending packages early rather than gambling on last‑minute holiday deliveries; they also budget roughly $10–$20 per package." - Jenny G. Google
Public welcome - this self serve shop is a gem. Wish I had known about it before. It is like a Zingerman's outlet with lower prices but the same high quality product. Bonus - if you work at the mailorder center you can grab a quick snack or drink here. The cheese grab bags are seriously a great deal - $20 for $30-ish worth of Zingerman's cheese that has already been discounted.

All your favorites delivered with phenomenal speed and customer service. They sent a delicious sour cream coffee cake in one day to a nursing home more than 300 miles away and gave me 10% off coupon on mail orders this month. A great Michigan company

Google
Great bread, reasonable price for the quality, and fast delivery. We've been buying for years. The variety of breads is remarkable, and eacxh comes with instruction for heating. The larger loaves are easy to section to storage. Zingerman's has a wealth of other products such as cheese, cured meats, tinned fish, and pastries, but we've only purchased the breads.

I appreciate the fact you offer “sympathy” gift baskets. However, we just received one (after unexpectedly losing our father) Although it was a nice basket… the cost ($160) for a couple of snacks is outrageous. I feel bad for the family that sent this to us… Way to take advantage and keep your “profits” up… unreal to be honest…

Google
Excellent business. The food is incredible as usual, but I recently contacted customer service and I have never encountered such fast, positive and personable service. And that's a lot coming from me who did Customer Service for 20 years. I was really blown away because you don't see that much anymore. They truly care about each and every customer and go above and beyond! Highly recommend!

Google
Shipping was extremely fast, even with standard rate. They have a lot of great unique products. I ended up purchasing a box for a family grieving and I liked the variety . I did not purchase the custom mini pastry boxes, but it’s such a great idea. I think I will order that next !!

Google
These prices are obscene. Shame on you! That 110 dollar Cheesecake costs about 30 dollars elsewhere.

Google
We got a Lemon Poppy Seed Coffee Cake, and a Sour Cream Coffee Cake, and both were stale.
