The 12 Best Restaurants In Avon & Edwards, Colorado

"This Italian spot is a real choose-your-own-adventure kind of place. They’ve got an upstairs bar and lounge that looks over the dining room and an outdoor patio alongside a bocce court. Pick your table according to the season and the occasion: dining room for something extra special, bar and lounge for drop-ins and dates, and patio for spring and summer. Go for the brick oven-baked pizzas, like the funghi with local mushrooms, arugula, mozzarella, shaved parmesan, and truffle oil. The housemade pastas are also always on point—order both the pappardelle with veal meatballs and the rigatoni with smoked Colorado elk sausage, and pair it all with something off their mostly Italian wine list that features some standout bottles from Piedmont." - kim fuller

Google
Love it! Definitely recommend trying everything on the menu! Try the pistachio cheesecake! The people that work there are the best, very friendly, and a family type of atmosphere with the staff. Love seeing the comradery, which says a lot! Thank you Nick, Julie, and Savannah!

As someone with Celiac Disease, I take where I eat out very seriously. This restaurant not only had amazing gluten free options, the staff were well-trained AND they have a dedicated oven for their GF pizzas. I had no issues the day after the meal, and am already planning a second trip back before we leave town. Gluten free friends - this restaurant is a MUST!

Zino offers a fantastic Italian dining experience. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The menu features classic dishes, and everything is made with care. The fettuccini and lasagna were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The mocktails were delicious too. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious, authentic Italian cuisine!

Google
The food and atmosphere are amazing time and time again. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. The staff is incredibly attentive and professional even despite having a full restaurant in summer and winter seasons. Jesus is our favorite server there and he’s been there almost every time we’ve come in to eat! All of the food is seasonal and fresh so the menu is different almost every time I come in with family. Some of our favorites are the pork chop, mais pizza, and the fried seafood appetizer. Portions are large which means I usually have leftovers 😋. Zino is definitely worth a visit if you are in Edwards or traveling through. You won’t be disappointed!

Google
What a gem in Edwards, Colorado! We had back-to-back delightful dinners at this amazing restaurant. Each time we tried new dishes and no joke - every dish was beyond superb. The presentation of food and each dish’s quality was on-point. We will most definitely be back and will be happy to dine in this gem again!

Google
Really incredible dinner on the patio. The food is exceptionally good and the service was also fantastic. The fish special was delicious and perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend the grilled asparagus salad and the pear and gorgonzola pizza.

My wife and I had another amazing dinner tonight at Zeno Ristorante — and as always, it was perfect. Special recognition to Jack and Ari behind the bar. They are the perfect blend of professionalism, kindness, and fun, and they consistently go out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. It’s also worth acknowledging something rare and wonderful: your entire team clearly supports one another. It’s not often you see staff from different roles jumping in to help — even stepping behind the bar to clean and organize glasses — all to ensure everything runs smoothly. That kind of teamwork says a lot about the culture you’ve created at Zeno. We continue to be impressed and grateful — and we highly recommend Zeno Ristorante to everyone we know.

Yelp
Great aesthetic and vibe at this restaurant. Staff were friendly. The food was delicious! I didn't get any photos of the apps or salads, but those were amazing. Would love to come back and try other dishes on the menu.

Yelp
We recently had an amazing dinner at Zio. Everything we ordered from the grilled romaine salad (would definitely recommend) to the pork chop Milanese was delicious. Service was on point and easily able to handle a large party. Certainly a little on the pricier side but in line with any nice restaurant in the Vail/Avon/Edwards area.

Yelp
It's so sad to see this restaurant go down hill. I loved this restaurant but last night my family hated their meals. The quality of the over all food has went downhill. I tried my daughter's bolognese and it was mash. Then we got her a side of meatballs, and the meatball quality of the meat was disgusting. She wouldn't eat it nor would my husband. My husband got the parpadalle which is his all-time favorite and the noodles were dry and it had watery red sauce with a ton of cheese. To pay $33 for parpadalle is mind blowing when it doesn't even taste good. Just the overall quality of food and the type of food grade they're serving is not matching the overall price. I wish I could say great things as this was my favorite restaurant by probably won't be going back in a long time. Also, for a meal to take an hour to get is a little uncalled for.

Yelp
Incredible food and drinks! I saw it had good reviews but didn't expect it to be this good! The service was a little slow, we had a reservation for 6:45 and didn't get sat until 7:05. I'd say it was worthy the wait though! We were able to sit outside and it was a good little vibe and great weather. There is a bocce court outback too if you want to hangout after dinner!

Yelp
Three stars is for the service but the food was very good as usual. Our server Katy was not on the ball. We had to ask for water several times and it took a long time for the plates and empty beer bottles to be cleared from the table. I had to ask for everything to be done when it should be done automatically. It's a shame that such good food is tainted by the lack of good service.

Yelp
Zinos never disappoints. 20 yrs ago we lived in the valley and it was our favorite for the mussels . They are still terrific . Tonight octopus salad for my entree, more than large enough and delicious. The dried grapefruit, yum . My husband had the pork porterhouse huge and delicious with peaches Service was great Such a fun place See you next year

Stirling M.

Yelp
Food was alright, do not recommend the pizza, bland and terrible crust. Most other dishes are better. The drink is amazing. Service is top tier. The Ambiance is unmatched and the best I've ever seen.

Yelp
Oh wow what a great restaurant! So very Italian! Excellent wine selection. Our food from bread to dessert was fantastic. Will definitely return when in the area, and we highly recommend to all beaver creek visitors.

Yelp
Mushroom ravioli, lasagne, pork chop, all 11/10 Great attentive service for our party of 8 Tiramisu did not disappoint Although it's in Edwards, it competes with anyplace in Vail area Check it out!

Yelp
A fine dining Italian restaurant that also serves a great pizza. We three enjoyed sharing an Arugala salad with pomegranate and pastashios (delicious and plenty for 2 or even 3) followed by lasagna, fettuccine carbonara and an eggplant pizza. The pasta is all housemade, the carbonara nicely spiced with pancetta and the pizza crust was bubbly and slightly burnt as it should be. Alex, our server, was helpful with advice, timely, professional and friendly. All service staff were excellent. The atmosphere is sophisticated and comfortable. This would be a fine Italian restaurant in any city. (Yes, the bread is delicious.)

Yelp
So, kudos to the service and culinary team for another memorable night at Zino's. We had such great service and food. We went to the bar and had the greatest cocktails ( matcha tini and a paper plane ) and then went to the table and had the BEST service by Alex. Started with mussels and carpaccio, followed by the two tags. We took dessert to go and had the Amarone for dinner. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Scrumptious and flavorful food, excellent service, lovely ambiance Very friendly and courteous staff

Yelp
Enjoy the ambience and layout here, spacious and airy. The food however was mediocre to me--possibly because it had been a bit hyped up among friends. Although I must admit I don't often touch Italian cuisine, I do however love lasagne. The lasagne serving was a bit on the small end. But that wasn't the problem, it was lean on the carby part which is what I love about lasagne--the soft pasta part that melts in your mouth. I even like the Costco lasagne more--don't judge me! Just for some perspective, friends and hubby loved both the lasagne and the peach pizza--yes you read that right, they put peach on the pizza. The cheese was a bit hard and chewy on the pizza in my opinion. Maybe I'm just picky about Italian food. Give it a try, you might think different.

Yelp
If you're visiting Vail or Edwards, Zino is a great option for dining in or picking up a to-go order. We've done both and have loved the food and the service. Tonight we had the Calamari appetizer to start. Calamari if not done well, can be very chewy and Zino's was tender and tasty. i had the lobster ravioli and it was delicious! The sauce was light and flavorful and the pasta devine! I loved it! Other party members were very happy with their meals as well. I've had their pizzas, the burrata bread, and the shrimp scampi in past visits and to-go orders...all very good!

Yelp
Great restaurant choice when visiting Beaver Creek. Highly recommend. The pasta is homemade and the prosciutto was some of the best I have had "since Spain" aka in a long time. The burrata had a great pesto with aged balsamic and tomato jam. Delicious! I did not love the mussels but everything else was amazing so it's forgiven. They were cooked in a skillet and I prefer a broth. But still tasty. For dinner my husband ordered the butternut squash ravioli. He loved it. You can order a half order which is three or a full order which is 5. The sauce was delicious (according to him). My friends ordered the scampi and said it was delicious. It had very different flavors than traditional scampi. It was served with caper berries and Calabrian chili butter which gave it a little kick. I ordered the pappardelle with veal meatballs, ricotta and marinara sauce. All of their pasta is hand rolled and made fresh. It was cooked perfectly, al dente. The veal meatballs were very tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious! The crème brûlée my friend had looked good but the custard was just so-so. Gelato was fantastic with very fun flavors. Pros: Great fresh and interesting flavored food High quality Ingredients Great service Excellent drink choices Nice decor and ambiance Fantastic food! Cons: Make a reservation don't try to just pop in. It was a Monday night and packed! Parking lot was a sheet of ice so be careful Crème brûlée and muscles were so-so Not many traditional Italian options if you are looking for that. We were not so it was a fantastic choice. Highly recommend. Even if you can sit in the bar area it is worth the trip.

Yelp
I'm never disappointed when I go to Zino's . I love the RAVIOLI - Basil Pesto Stracciatella Ravioli, Heirloom Tomatoes, Garlic, Arugula, Parmigiano, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is my go to meal and it never disappoints. Chef Nick is very talented.

Yelp
Zion's has a wonderful restaurant with an upstairs and downstairs seating area! They have fantastic menu with such a diverse selection of Italian dishes. Enjoy a great atmosphere while you experience a fantastic meal and attentive service that is incredible! The service is quick and you can get in and out if you prefer or sit back and relax through a great meal.

Yelp
Had a great time here and our server Savannah was so delightful and attentive. Carpaccio was top notch.

Yelp
Delicious and amazing service. We enjoyed the specials, bison ravioli and halibut with black rice risotto. Both were cooked to perfection. The Parmesan cheese on both dishes was terrific. Very flavorful. I highly recommend the arancini. Or anything with cheese really. And the tiramisu was delectable. Good wine selection and cocktails. Our server was super friendly and enthusiastic. I'm glad we found this spot.

Yelp
We have been coming to this restaurant since the beginning. On New Years, during the height of Covid we had dinner there the evening before New Years. As we were almost finished with our meals the restaurant was setting up an 8 too much too close to our table according to the counties mandate. I complained to the manager who is an arrogant creature. Due to his snotty response I posted an unfavorable review. I am now banned from the restaurant! It's really ok; the food is not that good.

Yelp
Honestly trying to fault one fault, no matter minimal to our dinner at Zino. Scratching my bald head , I can't come up with one. From the Colorado Peach Salad to my Parpedelle Pasta with Pork blended Meatballs the meal was surperb. My partner's fish offering Halibut over mushroom risotto was spot on as well. Our server Jose was professional and personable. The cross service throughout was timely and certainly not overbearing. If I lived here I'd be bugging the hostess for a Zino mask every trip.

Sky D.

Yelp
I came into Zino the other night having never been there. The ambience and decor was beautiful. Our server Alex approached our table promptly with a very inviting and energetic attitude. He was very knowledgeable and helpful as his delivery was delightful! We were impressed from the start to finish and the food was incredible. The drinks were divine and everything was brought to us with a smile. You can tell the staff is happy to be there and delighted to have us there. Definitely recommend coming here! Thank you Alex for making my Husbands Birthday so special!

Yelp
The best kept secret for a romantic meal for two - especially on Valentine's Day. The service is impeccable and is a true culinary experience. It has a true Italiano vibe. It has been in Edwards for YEARS - and they have always been known for their mussels. They are a must have for an appetizer!! I ordered the Baked Cod, and it was phenomenal! My boyfriend ordered the Elk Steak and it was also delicious! For the grand finale, order the chocolate hazelnut brown butter cake. It is scrumptious. One of my favorite culinary experiences in Edwards!

Yelp
A great casual Italian spot. Food and service are pretty consistent and convenient for locals in edward's.

Yelp
This place is great and the Blackened Blackberry Bourbon Smash was amazing! Great place for the family!

Ann L.

Yelp
I just had one of the best meals in my life and I am from Chicago which has great cuisine so that is saying a lot. I just have to say WOW. The halibut with saffron risotto, oh my word. I didn't want it to end. I had a lovely glass of rose and the bread was delicious too. I highy recommend this pace and the outdoor seating is a bonus......wonderful. Staff was fantastic as well. Overall win!

Yelp
Last Friday, September 30, we held our sons and future daughter in laws celebration dinner. Their wedding was Oct. 1 and we wanted to start the weekend right. The night couldn't have been better. It was out of this world, thanks to Adam and the excellent staff, you guys were all amazing. We started communicating more than a year ago and every minute of the planning was seamless. They bent over backwards to make it a night to remember. The food was excellent, the drinks superb and the ambiance at another level. Thanks for a great start to their wedding weekend, one they will never forget. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Yelp
Service and ambiance are excellent at Zino. We traveled from out of town for my wife's birthday. We absolutely loved the housemade burrata, but we're less satisfied with our entrees and dessert. The pasta I ordered was a little too salty for my taste. My sorbet won our favor over my wife's tiramisu. Nevertheless it was a great date spot.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Nice restaurant with friendly service. Love the pizza Fughi & the pasta pappardelle. Not impressed for the bread but the entrees are great. A great dinner in the Christmas season!

Steve S.

Yelp
We were in Beavercreek for the week from Scottsdale AZ and found this restaurant on Yelp. We love Italian and the reviews were really great so we tried. Here is my assessment- Food- exceptional Buildout- exceptional Service- poor I will explain the last one. Restaurant was very busy at 6 pm. Server greeted immediately so we thought this could be our go to on next trip here. Wait until she took order was normal then it went down fast. Way to long to get our entree even accounting for how busy they were. Then that was it, she was gone. Food came by way of a runner although she passed by our table several times. When we finished the plates sat in front of us for approximately 10 minutes and still not removed. Again, she passed the table once while they sat. A manager eventually stopped by and cleared. She asked if we wanted coffee and a desert menu. I said sure and she brought the coffee and left- manager again. Wife and I decided on a desert but no one showed again. My wife flagged server and said we needed the check. Just a "thanks"- w/o meaning. Yes, a restaurant should not be judged solely on a server as they come and go--but they are your front line. What you experience is what your opinion consists of in the long run. Speaking for us it is 50/50 whether we stop for a meal here on next trip to area.

Yelp
Great food and vino. All the pasta was very good. Service wasn't the quickest but wasn't in a rush.

Alex A.

Yelp
Freaking great restaurant. I can't afford to eat here every day, but I must say the prices are absolutely worth what you get. Great service, beautiful ambiance whether you're sitting by the bar or the window overlooking the Eagle River. This would be my top choice for anyone looking to dine in Edward's
google avatar

Carrie C.

Yelp
Food was really good! (Pictured). Our waitress, K- - - was incredibly rude and practically non existent. We all questioned if we possible made her mad because that's how she acted. It was weird. However, the rest of the staff stepped up for her and they were all great! Great atmosphere, nice view, nice outdoor seating with heaters, great bar area. Highly recommend the Veal Meatballs and (homemade) Pappardelle and house made ricotta. It was basically a deconstructed lasagne...but lighter than regular lasagne. Arugula and Watermelon Salad was perfectly dressed and super fresh. Muscles were a little dry to my liking but tasty. Bread was just meh. Cocktails and wine list all good! Great place!

Angela B.

Yelp
Brussel sprouts were so good you want to lick the plate. Pretty atmosphere, incredible smells greet you at the door. Our favorite meal all week. Next vacation, we start here and end here. YUM.
google avatar

Ricardo B.

Yelp
We came to Zion's during our annual ski trip to vail and we were not disappointed! Place opens up at 5pm and within an hour it was packed so reservations are highly encouraged! We had calamari as appetizers and they were delicious: citrus, grilled, well seasoned! For main course we had pere and prosciutto pizza, fettuccine carbonara with crab, parpadelle with veal meatballs and the rigatoni with elk sausage. Everything was well cooked, well seasoned. FYI, portions on the plus 1 size. Veal meatballs were to die for! Our waiter Adam was friendly, knowledgeable and knew all the dishes well
google avatar

Lenny K.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent, excellent. They did a great job of taking care of our party of 9 lead by our main server Jesus. I thoroughly enjoyed both my mussels appetizer and my roasted chicken was delicious too. I also had some of my nephew's Salumi pizza and it was topped with a lot of meat and was delicious. My wife said she enjoyed her Ortolana Salad as well as her main course pasta with meat balls. It's a very pretty place too surprisingly so because from the outside it wasn't that impressive located in a back corner of the parking lot. I look forward to coming back here on a future visit.
google avatar

Bruce F.

Yelp
Zino killed it Wednesday evening when I enjoyed my second visit with three others. I think it was a Covid thing, because we were shown to our table in the bar in the upper floor--which, by the way, is street level. The main dining room is actually downstairs in a room that faces the creek. I had to put aside my pet peeve (if being seated in a bar), as I've put aside all my regular restaurant (and other) grievances during Covid. As it turns out, the bar was actually superior to the main dining room, which is more lively (loud) with a super-high ceiling. Dinner started with a beautiful bottle of Amarone and was followed by seared foie gras, a Margherita pizza and half-order of the daily special: beef ravioli in marinara sauce. Everything was perfect! Service was efficient, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely no complaints there. Our server suggested the donut dessert--can rent what they are called, but they were delicious balls of deep fried dough sitting in a pool of a caramel concoction. Have you ever had anything doughy that was deep fried and NOT delicious? I didn't think so.

Yelp
Zino time and time again produces some of the tastiest meals in the valley. With a seasonal menu you're getting the freshest ingredients sourced locally, and every time I visit the menu is slightly changed to reflect the seasons. My favorites on the menu include the burrata or mussel appetizers, the fettuccine carbonara or rigatoni, and the pork chop. Amazing service consistently makes each visit that much more enjoyable. Love the team at Zino!
google avatar

Kerry M.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it ... in town on business and Zino's was recommended by the crew at Charter Sports in Avon. It was extremely great food !!! Decided to hang at the bar and the bartender make a great recommendation in the (PAPPARDELLE - Veal Meatballs, House Ricotta, Frico Chip, Marinara). Can't say enough good things about the atmosphere, staff and food.
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
I never had the chance to eat there, but now I know I never will. We were visiting from Chicago and called the day of to cancel our reservation. I spoke to the hostess and thought it was taken care of. I get home and am charged $50 a person "no show fee"! Are you kidding me????!!! THe best restaurants in Chicago don't charge that! I called and they fixed it (after he made me show him a screen shot of my call log) but I will never go to a restaurant that's gets their money that way. I went back on open table and in TINY writing it mentions the $50. No thanks....beware.

Just A G.

Yelp
Katie was great with our reservation and our server Savannah was on it! Food was excellent-cherry vodka drink was delish! Salad was great and the boys loved the mussels and burrata app. Pizza was awesome (margarita) and the fish and elk pasta was great too. It's a little $$ but great patio and staff.
google avatar

Vernon F.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Lamb meatballs great. Prosciutto very good cut off ham as you come in.

Alena F.

Yelp
Great food!! Even better service! Mason is wonderful. Great place not only for locals but also for visitors. We highly recommend it.
google avatar

Lini D.

Yelp
This place is tucked away near Inn at Riverwalk, where we were staying. Excellent wine list and they had avignonesi on the wine list and BY THE GLASS! Our server was such a sweetheart and the meal was hot, well prepared, and arrived quickly. We will return when visiting the area again.

steve M.

Yelp
It's somewhere between fine and good. Never amazing, and never bad. Prices are a touch high for the quality, but it's good enough. Only surprising, because it's owned and run by the folks at Sweet Basil and Mountain Standard which are both fantastic.
google avatar

Cara G.

Yelp
This was the first time at this restaurant. The ambiance and locations were wonderful. My husband and I are Italian so always very critical of Italian restaurants. The food was wonderful especially the veal meatballs and prosciutto and melon salad. I would love to give 5 stars but our waitress, K, was a definite negative. She was rude, unfriendly and disappeared after putting our initial drink order in. It dampened our experience for sure.

Nan H.

Yelp
Fun bar, good food, and in the summer you can play bocce ball outside near the river. We frequently gather with friends informally in the bar because they have complete food service up there. The burrata is outstanding.
google avatar

Rodnie G.

Yelp
This place is terrible! The mussels and dessert were the only edible items we ordered. The main courses were just plain terrible. We couldn't eat them at all. Not to mention the $ for inedible food.
google avatar

Ryan G.

Yelp
Tried Zino for the first time after a day on the mountain, and LOVED everything about it! The food was amazing, great menu and everything tasted fresh. Service was great, our server Sam was awesome. Will definitely be back!!!
