"Set right in the Capitol Mall, this upscale stunner (which also has outposts in University Village and Roseville) dons an elegant demeanor by way of heavy wooden doors, dark metal chandeliers and plenty of lush greenery. The sprawling outdoor patio boasts terrific people-watching. And though it’s named for Mexico City’s central plaza, this kitchen's menu offers regional highlights from around the country.Puebla-style chicken enchiladas, for instance, smothered in handmade mole poblano burst with flavor, while crispy tostadas contrast rich Michoacan-style carnitas against a zesty and bright salsa. Tequila nerds will thrill to the extensive selection, but there’s no shame in just ordering a margarita—the “Mango Fresco” with a tajín salt rim is a winner." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent dining experience. From the hostess to the waiting staff, the service was outstanding. I got same day reservations. My party was seated immediately at 5:30 PM on a Thursday despite the place being rather busy. The chips and salsa/bean dip were regularly refilled, as were our blackberry margaritas. I loved that it came in a pitcher. The guacamole was the best, as were the specialty dinners.

Google
It was such a beautiful restaurant with a lot of seating. The service was great, as staff kept coming by and asking if we needed anything or wanted to order more food. Every was plated nicely. Fish tacos were pretty good. Even though I enjoyed the mole enchiladas, I thought they would be the highlight of the meal, but it was my blackberry margarita that won out.

We got there a little early, thankfully, and sat outside. The weather was perfect for outdoors and we were the first ones to get seated outside, but the place was packed full within the next 30 minutes. Lovely urban vibes, comfortable seating, nice server (and even nicer forget what you call them, the guys who bring you to the table). Steak Steak is hanger steak. Portobello mushroom topped with onions and stuff under held of the steak. This is a big portion - enough to share. Subbed rice and beans with side salad. They don’t have traditional dressings, but different vinaigrettes. I ended up just getting some olive oil for the salad and it was good, with all the blue cheese that came with the salad. It was a beautiful salad, as far as side salads go. The rice and beans were delicious too, but i was very happy with the salad. I wasn’t charged extra for the substitution. Fish tacos Great! Overall, you are paying for the decor and the service, and the enjoyable food. For the atmosphere, I wasn’t too happy with our server asking about 5 times whether we wanted guacamole with our chips. I didn’t like it the first time he asked, but didn’t mind. It’s like a server asking if we want a margarita before we’ve looked at the menu (not saying that the server did this). But then he asked 4 more times. We ended up getting some ($12) but it was just ok. I don’t like being pushed like this, especially in this kind of atmosphere. Is the food worth the money? No, but with the combination of the atmosphere, sure. Would I come back? Sure, with the right people and for the right occasion. But this isn’t my weekly date night.

Google
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Attentive service. Fabulous food. Great aesthetics. I got the salmon bowl and I finished the entire thing. So flavorful. Can’t wait to return!

Google
First time eating here and it was amazing! Also, they kept fresh hot chips and salsa and bean dip coming. Large variety of delicious cocktails as well. Super friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely eat here again when visiting Sacramento.

Google
Nice airy place, lots of light, lovely bar, thoughtful decor (Mexican stone for tables), Puebla inspired bar deck, flowers/water etc. Served amazing nachos with salsa and warm bean paste. I asked for the Mole Enchiladas (Michelin guide recognition) and the server politely said ‘do you wanna taste it before you commit?!’ Wow :)

Google
Celebrated Father's Day here this year and it was awesome! In addition to the complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip, we ordered guacamole and ceviche. Both were really good. I got the arrachera for my entree and I loved it! For dessert, we all shared the churros and flan 😋

Google
Great restaurant. Food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. Service is good. Attentive staff. I tried the tacos. The fish and beef tacos were great. Zocs burrito and Quesadilla were very good. Cocktails Are 💯 Highly recommend.

Yelp
Nick the bar manager, had his team dialed and ready to serve. One of those members, Adam, had exceptional customer service for me and my fiancé. We will be coming back to eat at the bar.

Yelp
I had a very pleasant experience at Zócalo especially service provided by Alejandro. He gave an excellent customer service because of him I would come back again. The food was super good I got fish tacos for dinner with a side of rice and beans that it came with I would definitely recommend to try. It's a very nice and elegant place to have dinner at.

Yelp
We celebrated Valentine's Day 2024 at Zocalo and opted for the course meals for dinner. The price was really good, and I definitely think it was worth it! While the service wasn't the fastest, it was understandable given how busy it was that night. The atmosphere is really nice, and the wait time was reasonable. Overall, I had a great time with my boyfriend, and I would recommend Zocalo for a special occasion!

Yelp
Honestly, I've been to this place like 10 times and I've never had a good experience. Its never been terrible but it's also never been good But that all changed when Cheyenne became our server. Shes smart and funny and has an attitude that just makes you like the overall vibe even more. You should promote Cheyenne to manager. MY 5-7 previous visits were ok. Nothing great and not terrible. But we had a lot of fun tonight. So thanks to whoever hired Cheyenne!! Happy new year.

Yelp
The staff here is very sweet and helpful, we originally had a reservation for noon and ended up calling to see if we could possibly get in earlier and they gave us the greenlight to head over. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas, but one thing I noticed is that it is very chilly inside, so bring a jacket if you plan to come in during the colder months. The majority of us ordered the same things, arrachera plate, red or green chilaquiles and French toast/pancakes. The scrambled eggs on the arrachera plate were missing flavor, not just salt, but flavor. The green chilaquiles were super tangy and sour, which I did not enjoy. The chicken they topped it with was a "tinga" style chicken which I actually was a fan of, but it was a little cold and the temperature in the restaurant didnt help my chicken out much. I will say, however, that their portions are pretty large, each of our breakfast plates (besides the french toast & pancakes) comes with a side of black beans and a cilantro rice. I'm not fully writting this place off, I would be willing to give them another shot and go specifically for their posole and fish tacos, which was my orignal plan, but changed my mind last minute.

Yelp
First review of 2025! Not my first Rodeo here but we took our friend that was from out of town and he was craving Mexican food. Went after lunchtime and it was not crowded at all. I ordered the Baja Tacos, wife had the Enchiladas and for an appetizer we had the Empanadas. All delicious! Staff and waitress were attentive. Sun was out so it was bright in the restaurant on a Wintery day. Definitely our go-to spots! Until next time...
google avatar

Yelp
Adorable restaurant. Good for big groups too. The booths are a bit small for more than two people but there are plenty of tables. nice service, good food, clean restrooms. I recommend the breakfast bowl. But the French toast was a hit at our table as well. Overall, great place to get brunch with the girls!

Yelp
This restaurant never and I mean never disappoints. The waiters are always attentive and great at their job. I love that as soon as you sit down they give you those complimentary beans and salsa with chips. We love their margaritas also. They are the right amount of tequila. My all tlme fave is their flautas de papa and their tacos. The portions are great and the decor and ambiance of the restaurant is nice and not cheesy. Love their Dia de Muertos Altar and special dinner. To finish the meal we always share their flan. It is spectacular to say the least! Every time we go its the same great quality and service. Eat in or outside on the terrace. Parking is tricky here because of all the restaurants and bars.

Yelp
Had a large birthday dinner and worked with Talisa with Zocalo. She was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She also worked as a server and host during the event. We reserved the large back room- it was roomy and perfect for our large group. The menu was varied and showcased the dishes of the restaurant well. The fish tacos were a highlight. The wine and cocktails were perfect with our menu. Service was quick and efficient. We went over the time allotment but didn't feel rushed at all. Thanks Zocalo and Talisa for a great time!

Yelp
Beautiful building! Huge and good for group. Lots of photos of famous people who passed. Came for business lunch, it had a good amount of people but not packed nor slow. The food was pretty good. I hate Americanized Mexican food but this was more of Mexico City feel versus Tex Mex. I got 2 tacos- the carne asada and fish tacos. Both were good and came with rice and beans. Their complimentary salsa was delicious because it had a really good spice level. I'm a fan! Service however was lacking. Our server never filled up our empty water. He filled up the next tables water too, but not ours. the guy rarely came around and even messed up the check. But he was nice and helpful when he came around.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and friendly vibes, but the food didn't quite live up to the price point. While the ambiance made for a pleasant dining experience, the flavors felt underwhelming for what we paid. It's not bad, but definitely more about the setting than the meal. Worth a visit if you're more about the experience than authentic Mexican cuisine!
google avatar

Yelp
This is my second time going to Zocalo! I got the battered fish tacos which came with rice and beans as well. First off, I loved the ambiance and decor inside Zocalo. It made the restaurant feel very welcoming. The food was great as well! The fish was fried very well and the toppings added a nice touch! It got a bit messy, so I ended up eating it with a fork, but I thought everything was very good! The rice and beans were great as well.

Yelp
This place is hoppin! My brother was in town and wanted to get some really good Mexican food and I was craving a comforting bowl of pozole...that's how we ended up at Zócalo. Zocalo's chicken pozole is generously portioned hearty and comforting. The extra large bowl has lots of seasoned slow cooked fork shredded chicken and delicious golden hominy. This generous bowl it's the had lots of chunks of seasoned chicken and was drizzled with a fine layer of shredded yellow and white Mexican cheese. Without any hesitation and as soon as the soup was delivered I Ieveled up my order up with a request of cilantro, diced onion, and sliced ‍ O.T.S. By thd time our server returned with the requested garnishments the cheese was nice and melty on top and this made my tummy smile. My brother had the chicken enchiladas. They were sauced with Crema and enchilada sauce. (See pic.). The table service at zocalo was super fast and provided with a smile. I'm quite certain that we'll return next time he returns to visit.

Yelp
This restaurant is so cute. Went for a work dinner. This place was jumping. Just about every chair had someone in it. The ambience of the restaurant was so nice, the vibe was so lively and active. Every employee there had a smile on their face and was eager to help everyone that had a question. The food came out, hot fresh and fast. The only reason no one cleaned their plate was because there was more food than they could eat. I had the burrito bowl with steak and shrimp. It was so good. I also put some of the chipotle aïoli from the fish taco on top of my bowl, that just took it to another level. I love it when my friends and coworkers are enjoying their food. As I was eating, I was looking around and everyone was smiling, everyone was eating and having a great time. They have such a cute indoor and outdoor facility. I will definitely go again, especially now that I know there is a parking lot at the end of the block. We ended up walking three blocks to the restaurant because that area was so packed with people. But I would totally do it again.

Yelp
Went for dinner and it's food is amazing!!!!!! Want to give these folks a shoutout! Service is great and my salmon was perfect. Holiday spirit is gorgeous! Area looks so fabulous! We have been here for brunch numerous times but dinner was also nice!

Yelp
I know I'm going to have a good time here, whether it's with friends or a spontaneous solo stop. The blackberry margarita is my fav, and the happy hour specials are on point! The atmosphere is gorgeous and the service is impeccable. The complimentary chips, black beans and salsa are just a bonus! I usually stick to apps and drinks since I'm on a budget but they always deliver and I love their promotions during several holidays. Thanks!

Yelp
Came here for a birthday. Service from everyone was great. The hostesses were friendly, alll the servers were accommodating and our waiter, Francisco, was very good. He was attentitve to our needs and requests. I had a Blood Orange Paloma and my friend had a Blueberry Mojito. When we finished those we ordered a pitcher of the Sangria. The cocktails were good. For my meal I ordered the 2 Mixed chicken enchiladas which came with the cilantro rice and beans. Everything had good flavor. The staff sang Happy Birthday to me when the brought out the sparklers with ice cream and churros. I love coming to this location. Elegant decor and big windows. Music was loud, could have turned it down a notch. I felt like I had to talk loud so my companions can hear me.

Yelp
Food was high quality, no misses, and staff were on top of it. Restaurant had a nice ambiance on a Friday night. I had the cochinito pibil tacos and the meat was so tender and sweet. Two tacos were plenty and the half corn, half flour handmade tortillas are A+. Came with cilantro lime rice and beans which were flavorful. The chips were fresh and perfectly crispy. Salsa was tasty and loved that it came with a bean dip too. I had the blood orange Paloma that was delicious and the drink was strong. Tajín rim. I don't make it to midtown often but this is a spot I will definitely keep in mind.

Yelp
Amazing food as usual! The service is always hit or miss, but the decor is absolutely stunning!

Yelp
We went in for dinner, it was pretty busy and we were told there is no available tables indoor since we didn't reserve a table ahead of time. So we had to take the outdoor seating. Luckily, it wasn't raining at the time. We got sat at a small table since we had 2 people, which I don't mind. There were a lot of other empty tables. We tried to ask our servers to move us to a bigger table since the table we got sat at was wobbly and if any hot soup gets spilled, it would certainly burn my friend. But the servers kept neglecting us on that. My friend got Pozole and I got the zocalo quesadilla. The Cilantro Lime rice on the side was really good and flavorful. The Quesadilla was not bad, but chicken was a bit on the tougher side. Service was just alright, no servers came to check up on us. We had to keep waving for attention when we wanted our bill. Might give another try if I'm craving for Mexican food in the future.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday around 7:30 pm. Parking was a little struggle given it was busy day and Zocalo was busy with some parties and a private event. We had reservations so we were seated right away. The interior/vibe: 5/5 It gave like Tulum vibes and is def a place to bring the girls out for dinner or a date night. Drinks: 3/5 I got the mango margarita and they weren't shy about the alcohol quantity but the flavor of the margarita was ok. I do like how you can order a big margarita to share for the table. Food: 3/5 The food was okay. The chicken burrito bowl lacked in chicken. The enchiladas were good bc of the amount of protein. Service: 5/5 Our server was attentive and very friendly. I would say this is a place just to go for the vibes. Food is just okay.

Yelp
Restaurant has nice decor and good food. We went on Thurs afternoon and enjoyed some happy hour menu items. The server mentioned the HH tacos would be small like street tacos, he was spot on. However it was filling with the chips and guacamole. The blackberry margarita was ok, could only taste the juice, probably wouldn't order again. We sat on the patio since it was such a nice day but had fly issues. Next time will sit indoors and try other menu items. Overall all good.

Yelp
First time at Zócalo and it was amazing. From the food to the ambience and the service was 10/10.
google avatar

Tricia M.

Yelp
It's been here for years and for good reason - it is a wonderful place to eat and the service is friendly, warm, helpful - all the things. I will never turn down a blackberry margarita or the patio at happy hour. A happy place! Be sure to make a reservation on Open Table to get straight in. Only trick is landing a parking space!

Angel M.

Yelp
I've been coming to Zócalo for years and have truly never been disappointed. Their food is always delicious and comes out quick! Their margaritas never miss and you can get them by the pitcher. Their service has never let me down and everyone is friendly. And the inside? Beautiful! Such a great place to go to for a birthday or anniversary dinner. I've even come to have a happy hour drink at the bar. On this specific day, I had a delicious brunch and sat outside.
google avatar

Mahima R.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the food. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the ambience was perfect for a group birthday or family celebration without being too over the top. The servers were also very accommodating of any birthday requests we had. I got one red and one green chicken enchilada so I could try both. I also enjoyed the side of black beans and climates rice. Everything felt very fresh and had those cali-mex flavors that I love. I definitely liked the suiza (green) more than the red sauce. Chicken was high quality - well seasoned and cleaned. I also got a guava margarita that was too sweet for me, but I could see other people liking it.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Sacramneto! If your celiac/gluten free, you have to check this place out. The staff are so knowegeable and accomodating and almost all of thier food is gluten free or able to be made gluten free. Not to mention the food is amazing and the restaurants are all beautiful. ALSO you MUST try their margaritas! Some of the best I've ever had. Pro gluten free tip: their chips are celiac safe! Our waiter last time let me know they have a dedicated fryer for their chips. This was not my first visit, and it certainly will not be my last!
google avatar

Puneet G.

Yelp
Ok hear me out. If you like mole sauce. This place has some of the best mole sauce I have ever had, and I ALWAYS try the mole sauce. Other than that a decent experience! Interesting cocktails. A solid although not mind blowing menu, and decent wait service with great prices. All of that might make it a 4.5.... but the mole sauce makes it 5 my friends, come here for the mole
google avatar

Ariel L.

Yelp
This was my first time here. We were welcomed in, seated, and given our menus. Immediately, I noticed the beauty of this restaurant- inside and outside. The server was friendly and polite. We ordered drinks from the happy hour menu. The mango margarita was amazing. I rarely drink so one drink was enough to make me feel tipsy. The enchiladas were delicious. They are served alone and the beans and rice are served on a separate plate. This was a wonderful lunch and beautiful setting for pictures lol.

Yelp
Great price and flavor. Beautiful ambiance, and service. Definitely recommend! Must visit if you are nearby.

Yelp
Hubby and I had dinner at Zócalo this past Saturday. Oscar was our server. The place was pretty packed, as expected on a weekend night. However, that did not stop our server, Oscar, from providing an exceptional experience. Never once did we have to ask a second time for whatever we needed (extra sauce, extra chips, another drink, etc.). Oscar was very attentive and professional, and he went the extra mile to anticipate our needs. I should mention the food ;). It was fantastic!! I had the arrachera steak which came with rice and beans. The portions were plentiful and in fact, I brought home leftovers for a total of 3 meals out of one dish! Hubby had the mole enchiladas and they were on point. This is our second time at Zócalo and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you, Oscar, for an awesome meal and an exceptional experience all around!

Yelp
It's been many years since I returned to have dinner here again. It still has a fun lively vibe and the food is still amazing! The drinks are also very good and mixed to perfection.

Yelp
I absolutely love how gorgeous Zocalo is, for starters. A very modern and clean looking establishment with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. And they take reservations! Staff are friendly and kind and do their job very well. The Zoca Quesadilla is my favorite for sure, and the side of black beans and cilantro live rice make it even better.
google avatar

Megan V.

Yelp
I selected this spot for a work dinner based off of a recommendation from a colleague. So glad I did! The mid-town area is vibrant and has a lot of smaller businesses, so parking can be a bit tricky at peak dining times. I was able to find a spot a few blocks away at a meter and after a short walk we arrived and were promptly seated for our reservation. The restaurant offered outdoor, indoor and bar seating. We were seated inside, the interior was cozy but modern and had a buzz from all of the diners. There were multiple birthday celebrations while we were there, which added to the vibe. Our group ordered a variety of margaritas, namely the Cadillac, mango, blackberry and de la casa. All of the margaritas were refreshing and strong- the Cadillac definitely had a kick to it, so I was one and done! We had chips, salsa and guacamole to start. Our entrees varied from salmon, tacos and burrito bowls. I had the burrito bowl without the chicken or avocado as I recently went vegetarian (and I don't like avocado). The bowl was bursting with flavor and was extremely filling, the meat wasn't missed at all. I ended up taking most of it back to my hotel for breakfast. This is definitely a great spot for dinner or happy hour cocktails.

Yelp
Easily one of the best spots in Sacramento. Been coming here for years. The food is amazing, the service is usually quick and always courteous, and the building is a neat, historic spot.
google avatar

Cisco C.

Yelp
We had fish tacos, enchiladas & steak. Food was really tasty. Restroom was clean & that's good because many people judge restaurants cleanliness based on Restroom status. Ambiance was good, not too loud. The place was very clean & decorated really nice for Christmas. Service was fast. A lot of locals at the bar counter looked like they knew each other from previous visits.
google avatar

Ginger D.

Yelp
The best part about Zocalo is the dog friendly patio. Otherwise the food is less than good. Not authentic. At all. Alcoholic drinks do the job. Been here a few times and continue to remain not impressed. I would never bring anyone from out of town here. Happy hour quesadilla was okay. Not a ton of flavor. Kind of came out cold. Chips tasted stale. Margaritas good. Pro tip- happy hour everyday!
google avatar

Terry K.

Yelp
What a cool place amidst the local neighborhood. That being true, parking is definitely challenging. I'm met up here with some friends who had dinner prior to me arriving. But I did munch on some appetizers and had a couple drinks. Everything was good. The ambience of this place was really nice. This would be an ideal place for a date if you like Italian food. There were a few monitors around and staff all around the place. We came mid week and the place was packed. I could definitely see eating here again.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. One of my new favorite Sacramento restaurants. It is Michelin rated, has a beautiful atmosphere inside and tree-shaded tables outside. Service by Antonio was fantastic, as well as by manager, William, who stoped by to check in. But best of all, all the food was amazing. They started by bringing some warm, thin, crispy tortilla chips along with a side of homemade salsa and black beans which were amazing. I had their #1margarita, the BlackBerry, made with organic blackberry purée and fresh lime juice - wonderful and not too sweet. I also tried the Michelin-recognized Mango fresco margarita with mango purée and homemade Chamoy rim - so delicious! I ordered the 3 Mix enchiladas, and they were each unique and very good - (1) mole (Michelin recognized); (2) verde and (3) Rojas, each w/ chicken and Monterey Jack cheese, although could barely see or taste the cheese, could use a bit more, although the amount of chicken was very generous. But everything looked good - would love to come back and try the tacos, salads, bowls and soups. Manager William brought out a complimentary flan, since it was my first time to avocado, and honestly, I'm not necessarily a flan fan, but this is one of the best I've had! Firm, like a cheesecake, not slimy, and served with chopped toasted almonds and fresh blueberries. Wow! Glad I got a to go box for my side of black beans and cilantro rice. Look forward to coming back; maybe tomorrow!

Yelp
This is my second time visiting this restaurant. I absolutely love it. Everyone is so nice and friendly. The food is delicious. My Cassie is remade with homemade tortillas. The pesola was just perfect and not too salty. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
Another old favorite that I came to visit on my business trip to Sacramento. Because it is Friday during lent, I knew I couldn't go with some of my go to. However, there was plenty to satisfy meatless Fridays. I went with the quesadilla that had shrimp. Since I am one of those people who thinks, cilantro tastes like soap, the server subbed out the cilantro lime rice with white rice & corn. The quesadilla was also served with black bean purée on the inside of the tortilla as well as black beans next to the rice. Very very good. When we sat dow they brought out complementary chips and salsa. We inhaled the first basket, and, of course, having no willpower did not say no to a second basket. My fried ordered a berry margarita and really enjoyed it. Zocalo still remains very nice clean and well decorated. We only made the reservation a few hours earlier, and all they had was outdoor seating. However, the weather was pleasant and there were plenty of heat lamps . Our server, Briana was fantastic, just the right amount of attentive.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour. . I really love the high ceiling and big Mirror hanging from the wall. The booth is where we sat, and I feel like the booth is really high up, not too comfy for me and my 6ft 2 friend. The layout and vibes of this restaurant is excellent. . I ordered the flautas - which us made with potatoe. The inside is stuffed with like mash potatoes. I really like the salsa and veggies they put on top. The presentation is great. . Main entrees- three chicken tacos plate. The tacos were crispy shelled. It was a great size taco. I love how it comes with cilantro rice and beans on the side as well. . Complimentary chips and salsa. It's like crack, so addicting. One chip led to 3 baskets of chip. About 3 to 5 refills on the salsa and bean dip. . The service was on top of it. The serve did a great job. The water was refilled. The chips and dips were refilled accordingly. I was very happy and satisfied. . Overall the food was good and big portion. I love environment. This is a great place for some good modern Mexican food. Thanks for reading. I hope this review was helpful. Follow me for more and vote helpful for this review.

Yelp
Cute, small restaurant. Sat at the bar and had a Blackberry Margarita and the chicken quesadilla. The drink was delicious - not too sweet. The food was fantastic! The quesadilla was shaped like a big burrito with open ends. Whatever sauces they used inside and outside, were spot on. The chicken it was kinda shredded, moist, very tender and tasty. I don't think I've ever had any chicken that was close to, well, perfect; I'm a finicky eater when I'm eating out. I didn't even taste the rice and beans. lol The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars - the toilets are very low pressure so they didn't flush well. However, the bathroom was clean. And the bartender was not very friendly.

Yelp
Still appreciate the vibe. Came in Thursday evening, busy, open bar seating. Pleasant staff, chill bar tenders, and made it just in time for happy hour. Food was great, as expected. I feel like they made a few updates to some of the ingredients. The usual order: - Mole Enchiladas Dinner (chicken) - Tres Leches Cake (decadent, modern take) - Side of spicy salsa (highly recommended) Parking was still "interesting". I like the fancy feeling.

Yelp
VIVA Zócalo! The food here is delicious! Everything is so fresh! If you are craving a fancy casual mexican restaurant setting to take your friends or fam this is THAT place! The pork dish was so soft and tender & the shrimp appetizer was so delicious. As for service it was super quick we LOVED that! Food came super fast. Only thing is the girls that bring you to get seated. Do you guys ask them to wear provocative clothing? They also dont greet you with a smile they look mean and set a bad tone in the beginning I suggest replacing these women with women with black attire that is decent not exposed dresses.

Yelp
I will never understand why this place is so busy. Other than the (FIRE) margaritas the food is not great. Maybe my standards for Mexican food is too high, but the food isn't that good. Let me make this clear, the margaritas are AMAZING, I'd give them 5/5 any day, but the food is nothing special. The restaurant does give an upscale feel and the servers are great, but I can't stress this enough the food is mid.

Yelp
We initially went to Station 16 and waited over an hour. We came to Zocalo, and they saved my birthday, taking great care of us. The best service and excellent food.

Yelp
I came here for happy hour after work with two friends and we all loved it! We ordered the Baja fish tacos, fish ceviche de guaymas, zoca quesadillas, and shrimp tacos de camaron. We also got some cocktails, blackberry margarita, maiz mezacalita, and de la casa! The blackberry margarita was bomb, I could drink a bunch of these. The shrimp tacos were delightful and fresh, I really loved the mango salsa on the tacos. The fish ceviche was also a favorite of ours. This was my first turn at zocalo but it certainly won't be my last!
