We had a lovely time celebrating our anniversary at Zoe Kitchen. The elegant atmosphere made our visit feel special, and our waiter was genuinely warm and attentive throughout. The appetizers were excellent, and the steak was cooked perfectly, although it could have been more flavorful. The mac and cheese was a bit dry, but our attentive waiter kindly took it back to remake it, which we appreciated. While we genuinely appreciated the friendly service, we happened to be seated near the chef’s area and overheard a comment, “What? It’s not dry, it’s cheese.” That was a little uncomfortable to hear, as it's usually better for staff to keep feedback about the food more discreet. I chose not to say anything at the moment to avoid any awkwardness. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with attentive service, and we believe there’s always room for growth in ensuring consistent food quality and professionalism, which could make the dining experience even better.

OK I am picky about my steaks anyone who knows me will tell you if I like a steak the Restaurant must be great! Zoe's is wonderful, you are going to spend a bit but, not outrageous for what you get! Truffle fries with Fondue!! Oh my!! Spot on service and Ribeye gave my husband's cooking a run for the money! Scallops perfect. Presentation wonderful, don't forget to share Carrot cake, 2 forks!

This was an excellent first time experience. Be prepared for the valet parking (my car was a mess). I grabbed a seat at the bar and was kept good company by the staff. Caesar salad and the filet Perfect cook fast service well paced. The carrot cake was massive. And delicious. Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing experience at Zoe’s Steakhouse! They gave us free tastings and everything was farm-to-table fresh . Even the bread is baked in-house. Our server Josh was the sweetest and so helpful, and the whole staff was super friendly. The charred octopus was tender and perfectly grilled, the steaks were phenomenal, and they even make their own fresh ice cream and sorbets. Perfect spot for a special occasion or just an incredible meal!

First and foremost, I would like to thank our server, Chris, for being an outstanding individual and ensuring we felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated. My first visit to this establishment was nothing short of exceptional, and I have no complaints whatsoever. This restaurant offers more than just a place to dine; it provides a truly memorable experience. From the valet to the floor manager and servers, everyone was exceptional, treating us like family. The customer service was impeccable. As for the food, everything was outstanding—I enjoyed the steak frites, Caesar salad, and charcuterie board, all of which were prepared to perfection. Lastly, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at this wonderful restaurant for the warmth and kindness shown to us. Thank you!

I wish I could give this place MORE than 5 stars. Everything was amazing the service was A1, Regina was the BEST!! The food was impeccable. All the staff was very nice and attentive and stopped to wish us happy anniversary. The valet lady was super nice from the door and she even offered to take our pictures after dinner, SO SWEET. The entire evening was just great. We WILL be back. I highly recommend you try the octopus and the OMG carrot cake!!! But Im positive that anything that comes out of that kitchen is perfection!!

We dined at Zoe’s for my daughter’s birthday and everything was perfect. We didn’t realize it was valet parking only, so we self-parked by accident. The valet, Samantha, flagged us down and even opened up an umbrella and held it over us to walk us to the front entrance because it started drizzling. She was so nice, remembered our names, opened the doors for everyone…possibly the nicest valet we’ve ever encountered! Our server, Regina, was amazing…super bubbly and attentive. To our surprise, it was “Wagyu Wednesday” and all the wagyu items on the menu were 50% off, so we had to take advantage. The gentleman who brought out our food (didn’t get his name) was also very attentive and answered all our questions about various menu items. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and delicious! We were stuffed and couldn’t fit in the carrot cake, but after all the good reviews, we’ll have to come back for that one next time!

We were in for the first time on Friday night and had an awesome experience! Even before we reached the front door, the valet was very friendly and talking up the food and it did not disappoint. Love the little personal touch of cards on the table for special occasions. Our server Regina went above and beyond for us and has mastered the art of telepathy. Not many servers have the 6th sense to know exactly when you need something and appear out of thin air at the perfect time, without being overbearing or making you feel rushed. She was super friendly and had a great sense of humor but hit every step of service perfectly. Regina made us feel at home and cared about without making the experience stuffy (which can be a hard line to balance in fine dining) and she’s an absolute pro! Now onto the food. Yes, the price tag is a little hefty, but you don’t go to Zoe’s expecting to pay McDonald’s prices. Every bite was worth every dollar we paid. We started with the sweet corn and lump crab bisque on special and it was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet, hot but not too hot to dig in immediately, and the perfect portion size to get you excited for more without filling you up. For mains I got the lobster and scallop duo and my boyfriend got the NY Strip. The lobster was perfect without being rubbery, and the scallops were cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The tortellini was a little sweet for my taste, but balanced out the saltiness of the seafood really well. Boyfriend said the steak was “fantastic” and as a man of few words, I know that’s high praise. Finished off the night as any respectable basic white woman does with an espresso martini, and about fell in love with the bartender. As a local, I’m always a little hesitant to journey down to the oceanfront during the summer, but this place is absolutely worth the trip. My only nit pick is that there was no music playing in the dining room area and we could hear other people’s conversations very easily, but overall 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back.

Yelp
We came to celebrate my birthday and they did not disappoint from the moment we walked in. The experience, food, drinks and service were all exceptional. Regina was amazing. Alex never let our waters empty. Everyone there helps out by clearing and serving. Food was amazing. Wine great. Drinks fabulous. I wish I could give a shout out to each individual person that took care of us but honestly it's such a team effort it's refreshing. Jessica stopped by a couple of times to make sure we were happy. Zoe's is our new special occasion place. It would be regular but we live a too far that.

Yelp
I had the wonderful opportunity of dining at Zoes this week and it was a 10/10 experience. We had reservations for 8pm and were able to walk in and be seated right away. From the valet to the hostess, everyone was exceptionally friendly and the ambiance was perfect. Our server welcomed us in and provided us with a few complimentary slices of bread and whipped butter sprinkled with maldon salt. We were then served what was called an "amuse-bouche" which was a complimentary, single bite of a strawberry treat. We ordered a couple of appetizers along with our entrees and everything was served pretty quickly. The Charred Octopus was delicious. It very fresh and cooked perfectly. The Zoës Rockefeller was outstanding and extremely flavorful! I am an oyster lover and could've easily ate 6 more! The scallops were great and some of the biggest I've ever seen. Our server stated the they are hand picked specifically for the restaurant. The star of the show was the Miyazaki Wagyu Tenderloin! It was literally one of the best things I've ever eaten. It melted in my mouth and was the best steak I've ever had in my life. For dessert, we decided on the O.M.G. Carrot Cake and it was literally 3 slices in one, but it decadent and delicious! Before we left, we were told that there will be new menu items for the Spring/Summer and the hostess even gave me a sneak peak of the items in their new menu. Zoes is hands down, one of the best restaurants in VB. We plan on returning in the next few months to try their new menu items. Everyone was so pleasant and I highly recommend stopping in to try them out!

Yelp
We had such an amazing experience. Our server was awesome, as well as the sommelier. Everyone chipped in equally as they walked by. We loved the happy anniversary card and the nice little touches throughout the meal. We started with the lobster Bundt cheesecake, then got the steak frites with truffle fondue, scallops with Thai accoutrements, and scallop and lobster duet. Everything was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for an amazing anniversary dinner!

Yelp
Celebrating my birthday with the family and this place was suggested by a fellow yelper and sure we trust a yelper. We were not disappointed. We went in on a Thursday and thankfully it's not full. We had our reservations and the parking is right out of the restaurant. That's a great blessing. The place is so wide and clean. We were greeted right away and the door opened by their staff. We were ushered in and was helped right away. We love our hostess. She was very helpful and beautiful. They were quick in serving our orders right away. The meat was soft and so good. So tasty! All of the food are good but I love the pork chop. The cakes we got at the end are so good. We will come back again. Thanks for the adventure Zoes.

Yelp
Zoë's is one of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure of visiting! Its service, setting and food is out of this world. The valet, servers and sommelier make for an excellent dining experience. They always go out of their way to make our anniversary dinner special! Be prepared for a high-dollar experience!

Yelp
Our first visit to Zoë's was a lovely one! I made a reservation for my husband's birthday for a Wednesday evening. They have "wagyu Wednesdays" which is half off their wagyu. A great deal for those who don't mind going over $100 on a weeknight! They made a lovely touch on the table with a birthday card for the hubs. Sadly I didn't get a photo of the steaks, which were done to perfection. However, my husband did make the comment that a steak this good should not have sauce on it and I agree. You just want to be able to taste the meat with a little bit of salt to bring out the flavor. The amuse bouche was a cucumber bite with a dill-like herb but not dill. Delicious! The house made bread was delightful! Could have had a boat full of that! The coconut Paloma was by far one of the highlights of the meal. Absolutely delicious! I would return just to have one of those at the bar. My husband had the old fashioned which was interesting; not your typical OF. The service by Dave was outstanding! He is a fantastic employee who should be held on to. Thanks for making the night special, Dave! The dock of a star comes for portion size. The sides with the steak were barely anything. My husband ordered a side of lump crab which means they skimped on potatoes. Not cool. I could also have had more potatoes on my plate. The dessert menu was a disappointment, so we went elsewhere for that. I would definitely return to Zoë's for a special occasion or just for one of the Paloma's!!!

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect when we first visited Zoes. The reviews and recommendations I heard were very outstanding. From our visit, I can finally understand why. Ambiance: This restaurant screams upscale. Their decorations are impressive. Food: I've never been to a restaurant where they give out three complimentary food items, which was delightful. Besides the complimentary items, I enjoyed their Oyster Rockefeller the most. It is very delicious, and the presentation was stunning. As for the steak, I wished it had more flavor. Price: The price is pretty much the same as most steakhouses, however I am unsure if you have to pay for drink refills. Service: The staff will surely spoil you and ensure you have an excellent experience. They were very accommodating to us. Their service was the highlight of our visit. The best thing about our visit was that we sat at the Chef's table. We'd never sat at the Chef's table before, and it was quite an experience because we got to see how they prepared our food. All in all, Zoes is a must-try if you want an upscale restaurant experience in Hampton Roads.

Yelp
Zoës was one of the most amazing meals we've had in Virginia Beach. My husband recommended it for a date night and we made online reservations easily. When you arrive, there is valet which is a nice touch. We were seated in a room towards the back of the restaurant, which is upscale and definitely a place you can dress up. My husband wore jeans and said he felt a little underdressed. They have great cocktail and wine list, we got a little of both. I started with their pear cocktail which was a bit acidic, so switched over to my normal dirty martinis afterward which was perfectly prepared. I can't pass up a martini if they have blue cheese stuffed olives! We got a few appetizers to start - the Oysters Rockefeller, the beef tartare and the foie gras. The foie gras was the only thing we ordered that we wouldn't get again. It was missing a texture variation. Everything was soft, which meant the beautiful foie gras was a bit lost. Sad, because it is usually our favorite dish! The steak tartare however, was fantastic as were the oysters! For entrees, we shared a salad and the steak frites. The steak was perfectly prepared, seasoned beautifully and was obviously a really high quality cut. The fries were also delicious. Ended our meal with the carrot cake, which isn't JUST picture-worthy, but also damn good. Overall, a wonderful date night!

Yelp
We went to Zoe's with friends and were seated at the chef's table. Regina was our waitress and was amazing! I ordered the lobster tail and my husband had the ribeye and they were delicious! The chef's appetizer of tot with claw meat and caviar is beyond words! Of course for dessert we had to have a slice of the much talked about carrot cake! It was incredible and a very large slice which 6 of us had a taste of! Highly recommend if you are looking for exceptional cuisine and service!

Yelp
It's been well over 10 years since my initial (and only) visit to Zoes. So, during Restaurant Week 2024 my husband and I decided to give them another try last night after a long break. The restaurant has recently undergone a facelift with new floors, paint, updates and an overall lightening and brightening. That was nice as I remember it being somewhat gloomy before. The menu has changed significantly and has a lot more non-steak options including a Salmon bowl, fish of the day, pasta, some vegetarian options, etc. You'll still find the same great steaks and the lobster Mac they're famous for, but we did find out that a new chef has taken over in the last two years and they've worked hard on changing the menu a bit. Of note: steaks now come with two sides. This is a nice change. Our server was delightful - super sweet and friendly - very talkative and personable - and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Always appreciated. Her name was Chantel. She was a doll. We chose to go with the Restaurant Week Menu for $45 per person with a 3-choice menu. I chose the Oysters Rockefeller, theirs has pimento cheese so that was new for me, a Cesar salad (small and served as a mini wedge), and the meatloaf with some veggies and whipped potato. Delicious. My husband chose the Oysters Rockafeller as well, a wedge salad (chopped) which was very good, and the 5oz. filet with potatoes and veggies. We chose coffee and a salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. Coffee was great, fresh and hot. Their cheesecake is very traditional in style and doesn't have a crust (I like crust). My first visit here I was not super impressed - this time the spaces are cleaner and fresher, food was good (steak was properly cooked) and service was excellent (same as before). Service was excellent both times and we enjoyed ourselves. It's still pricey and 20% gratuity is added automatically to the check. Our meal was paced at around 2.5 hours so it was a looonggg time with long breaks in between.

Yelp
5 stars all around. Great service and wonderful food. We enjoyed the lobster sausage appetizer, ribeye steak, halibut, and carrot cake. It's is a new favorite spot -- beats out Byrd and Baldwin for a date night. Simple things to be aware of: complementary valet parking (if you forget or don't have cash, you can add the valet tip to your bill at the end and your server will bring you cash from the bar to hand to the valet -- who at least for us was a very respectful young college student who was quickly met us once we pulled up and quickly brought us our car.) Yes, gratuity (20%) is added to your bill, which is clearly stated on the menu and if you read just a handful of reviews of Zoes -- shouldn't be a surprise at bill time.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant for Restaurant Week 2024. Great staff and atmosphere upon arrival. Had a 7:00pm reservation and was seated promptly. Had a great view of the open kitchen and was able to see the chefs at work. For appetizers had the Rockefeller Oysters and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Oysters were superb however we didn't care for the Lobster Mac much. Next had the Caesar and Bibb Salads both were great. Main course was filet mignon, mash potatoes and veggies and added buttery crab. Felt like crab needed some seasoning. Hubby had the Sanuki Smash which was a burger, the fries with it were amazing and he raved about the burger. Overall the place was nice and the food was good. Worth the try.

Yelp
I brought three of my out of town quests to Zoe's for dinner... they raved about the service, cocktails, wine and the food. Wonderful customer service, the wait staff really know what they are doing and Chef Paul knocked the food out of the ball Park.. they can't wait to go back! Zoes's is my favorite at the oceanfront.

Yelp
If you want a memorable dining experience with superior service then make a reservation for Zoes. Even the valets are wonderful. From the second you pull in the parking lot, the hostess (Julia), the bartenders and wait staff are all wonderful. And they even have a happy hour which I enjoy. It gives some people a chance to try a restaurant that they can't afford to drop $300 for a meal. I highly recommend making reservations...even in the bar. The bar is small and we had a hard time finding seats at 5:15 on a Wednesday. The interior is classy and has private rooms for events. I came for one thing and that was the $50 wagyu burger that is $25 on Wednesdays. And half price appetizers so I had the lobster sausage pops. The burger was delicious with a sesame bun, special sauce and bacon jam. It came with A LOT of shoe string fries which were also very good. I split the meal with a friend....I definitely could not have finished it all. The sausage pops were unique and delicious. I would love to go back for another HH since appetizers are 1/2 price and try a few more appetizers. I would love to dine in for dinner but it's not in my budget now but it's on my list. Definitely check them out if you want a special evening....even at the bar.

Yelp
Went on sat 8 march. Arrived the receptionist was like we didn't have reservations but I think it was because we had an infant. We were to have booth but we were placed in the back room. The female manger and waitress were rude and no one filled our water except when we were seated. The food was good but over priced. Not a high class over the top facility. Like I said waitress was only seen maybe 2 times with an attitude. There was air of people working but nothing being done. And the bill was 700 for 4 people 1 bottle of wine. I think they have bad service because they know there getting 20% no matter the service. Will not be going back.

Yelp
Great ambiance!!! Food had great flavor but the server and kitchen crew missed the mark! Heather started out strong and seemed to be attentive until we noticed how long the kitchen was taking and asked for a time estimate on our dishes... She totally ignored that and the kitchen continued pushing out dishes to everyone but us. No order or time management exhibited as I watched from the dinner table in utter shock. We received our food 1 hour and 10 minutes after ordering!!! It was incorrect and raw!!! Everything went downhill from there every request had a 10-15 min interval prior to fulfillment. The service and experience was so disheartening and a true let down for my birthday. Time management is key, and being more knowledgeable to ensure that the experience flows smoothly and professionally is vital. Our first and last time dining here... Do better Zoes!

Yelp
The service here is impeccable. We were frequently checked on. The food was good but not worth the healthy price tag. Also, 20% gratuity is included with the check.

Yelp
OMG! This place is absolutely amazing! The staff was so courteous and welcoming as soon as you arrive and throughout the service. There is valet, coat check, and as you wait you have staff who will take drink and appetizers for you in the waiting area. I ordered a featured meal from their restaurant week and it was cooked to perfection! The filet was so tender and flavorful! The oysters and salad were also delicious. The ambiance was perfect as well! I will definitely be returning !

Yelp
This is my 1000 review so I decided to make it special with Zoes. Started with delicious drinks martinis and French 75. Drinks were perfectly made. Definitely ask for the freshly baked bread, I think it was French and comes with their homemade butter. Moved on to appetizers beef tartare, lobster sausage pops, French onion soup, iceberg salad aka wedge salad. The lobster pops are to die for...just get them and thank me later. I'm usually not a big blue cheese fan but when I heard the make theirs in house I wanted to try it and it was delicious. The beef tartare was very good. For dinner my nephew had the kids burger and the adults all had steaks. 2 ribeyes, 1 filet and I had the NY strip surf n turf. All cooked rare, the filet was definitely the star of the show. My lobster was slightly undercooked but all in all good. The service was great and attentive. Karla was excellent. My review is a 4.5 just because the lobster was undercooked but everything else was great.

Yelp
Upon entrance I felt embraced with amazing kindness from each staff member from : the hostess to the people that give the food out to the most amazing Kristi at the bar who worked with my tight schedule (my less than an hour break) she gave me a surprise amuse booche of a roasted tomato goat cheese moment to pop in my mouth until I waiting for the most well made beef tar tar and honey glazed Brussel sprouts. Both portions were perfect for what they were and the ambience at the bar was a nice enough reason to return after work for a night cap! Thank you Kristi and your great energy and customer service! We will definitely return!

Yelp
What a great dining experience! Zoe's is top notch with impeccable service. Everyone is so professional and nice in this cool and eclectic restaurant. Their food was delicious- you must try their steak! Everything was on point and will definitely return.

Yelp
I can confidently say this is the best restaurant in Virginia Beach! The food was impeccable from start to finish. Highly recommend the lobster sausage pops. Both of our entrees (halibut and steak) were perfectly cooked. We went there to celebrate a birthday and the staff had a handwritten card for us which is such a nice touch. Very few places put this level of details into the service, food and ambiance. But Zoe's is the perfect balance of all three. My only regret is not trying this place sooner! Now I have to visit often to make up for lost time! Go to Zoe's. Immediately!

Morgan S.

Yelp
Great drinks. Beef tartare was divine, tuna tartare didn't taste that fresh. Green goddess salad was good once we seasoned it with heavy salt and pepper. Unfortunately, the filet and ribeye we ordered were almost inedible because of the burnt taste on the sear. The temp and inside cook of steaks was fine, but it truly tasted like char. The mashed potatoes were good, and the carrot cake was insanely good. Service was wonderful. I would definitely return, it's just a bummer that the main course was a let down.
google avatar

Vi R.

Yelp
I had to try this place out for date night since I have heard so many people rave about Zoes steaks. I called for a last minute, same day reservation and they were able to seat me at a table by the bar. It wasn't a bad table either. Upon first impression, it is a very fancy place with an older crowd. Service was great. They have valet parking. Our waitress was very pleasant. Everything came timely. Our drinks were delicious. However our dishes weren't to die for. It was good but not one of the best. I ordered salmon. The appetizer and desserts were alright too. I will definitely be back and would love to give it another try especially since my husband didn't ordered a steak like I expected him to.

Vanessa P.

Yelp
Everything about Zoe's was wonderful. We went for our anniversary and the staff immediately told us happy anniversary and signed a card. Our server was attentive without being too much. She was great! The food was all delicious. We had the beef tartare, foi Gras, wedge salad, special soup (mushroom and onion), filet and ribeye Oscar. Everything was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth. We took a slice of carrot cake home and its Devine. I'd highly recommend Zoe's for any occasion, it was truly a pleasure!

Yelp
rather sure this is the best meal i have ever eaten in virginia beach. from start (lobster sausage pops) to finish (chocolate torte,) everything was absolutely delicious. my husband and i both had steak tartar-full of flavor! he had a caesar salad, and i had the bibb wedge-both presented beautifully. for the main course, he had rock fish with risotto, and i had the filet with mashed potatoes and broccoli. every single bite was just outstanding. our service was wonderful, too. rebecca was our server, but everyone who helped was friendly and polite. the restaurant has a simple elegance to it that is just spot on, a truly wonderful evening for our first visit to zoe's. and i doubt it will be our last.

Yelp
Hands down the best restaurant I've ever been to in the 757! Our food was out of this world amazing. Service 100/10 down to the valet everyone was so happy to work there and that says a lot. Our server tanner was amazing we never felt neglected not once he was super attentive. I can't wait to come back such a beautiful restaurant.

Mona E.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our anniversary. When we made our reservation, I noted what we were celebrating. There was a card for us at the table that the staff had signed! We had oysters Rockefeller, ribeye steaks and we shared a carrot cake. The food and service was incredible. We agreed that the steaks were cooked perfectly. Our side dish was the crab Mac and cheese. Typically, my husband isn't crazy for Mac and cheese, but he loved it. I can't wait until we can come back someday. Bravo!

Yelp
We stopped by without reservations on A Friday evening and were able to get a table no problem. Staff were incredibly friendly. I had the 45oz Tomahawk ribeye, it was the best steak I have ever had. Will be stopping again for a special occasion!

Rob H.

Yelp
Our experience at Zoes was absolutely amazing! We came to Virginia Beach after getting married and made reservations for our 1 week anniversary. Let me start by saying that Adison was a PHENOMENAL server and made our dinner an absolute delight! The food was top notch and the staff were all a joy! Whenever we come back this will definitely be a stop for us! Thank you all for helping us celebrate!! Job well done!

Yelp
This is a lovely special-occasion restaurant! My husband and I enjoyed dinner here as a last date night before welcoming our first baby into the world! The restaurant is decorated simply but with nice taste. They have valet parking. You will want to have a reservation before coming. I started with a seasonal poached pear and roasted butternut squash salad. Every bite was filled with flavor, a variety of textures, and perfectly dressed. My husband started with the soup du jour which was apple and cauliflower purée, topped with a white cheddar stuffed puffed pastry, crab meat, and a bit of caviar. It was creamy, flavorful, and different. We were also served hot, crusty pieces of baguette and an amuse bouche from the chef- cucumber chips topped with whipped goat cheese, roasted tomato, and parsley. This was a bright and fresh bite. Delicious! I ordered the 7 oz filet mignon medium, which was served with herbed mashed potatoes and haricots verts. Each component was cooked simply and perfectly. The steak melted like butter in my mouth and the sides complemented it well. My husband ordered the "Famous $50 Wagyu Burger". He especially loved the sweet bacon jam and we both enjoyed snacking on his side mountain of crispy truffle fries. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We finished by splitting an apple tatin topped with rosemary ice cream and smoky warm caramel sauce. Every bite was smooth, buttery, sweet, and a treat. The chef sent a closing bite of two tiny hazelnut tarts- yum! They add an automatic 20% gratuity to every bill so be prepared for that. The service was excellent and well-deserving. Our dinner lasted about two hours and felt like a festive and beautiful celebration.

Yelp
The service was outstanding. Best in class! The scallop appetizer was very good, the seafood skewer was not great. The wedge salad was excellent. The steak was disappointing. My medium New York was a little tough. The wine list was missing a lot of the "big reds" from California. No Camus? Really? Silver oak? The desserts were uninspiring. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
As much i as really wanted to leave a 4-5 star rating, I couldn't. That is due to the steak that I had. Ordered a 16oz Ribeye with side greens beans and fries. The fries were the highlight of my meal. The steak had a really bad taste and was not seasoned properly. I am a steak/food enthusiast and have had my fair share of meals to compare this to. I wish I had just gone to Ruth's Chris, having paid $65 for the steak. Outback would've been better. (Hopefully it was just a mishap?) I MUST say - The service and staff were 5 star. That is the only reason this is not a 1 star review. Ambience was nice and intimate, which I like. Pic attached of meal. I will give this place one more try, if not pleasant, that will be my final time.

Yelp
Reservations are required and valet parking is recommended. Very nice atmosphere. We come here for special occasions and we always have great service. Recently came for restaurant week and had wonderful service. I had the oysters Rockefeller, french onion soup and goat cheese & mushroom something (? LOL). It was all delicious! My husband had steak tartare, salad & filet which he enjoyed very much. Our server was so nice and attentive. We will definitely return! Always have a great experience here!

Yelp
Zoes is such an exceptional restaurant! The service is wonderful, caring, and understanding. Now, I'll skip straight to the food. Here's what we had: - Housemade baguette with butter - Lobster Sausage Pops (WOW! I did not expect to love this so much! They were beautifully presented and each bite was warm, flavorful, and covered with a slightly sweet glaze.) - Elote Dusted Charred Octopus (Just a stunning appetizer. A little heavy on the char for me, but a cool unique flavor combo.) - Zoës old bay crab mac n' cheese (YES! I thought this was unreal. Big lumps of crab meat, saucy and cheesy, and perfectly seasoned with old bay. Honestly, if I go back and I'm not in the mood for steak, I would absolutely just get an order of this and a salad and would be happy.) - 7 oz. Certified Angus Filet Mignon medium rare, served with herbed whipped potatoes, haricot verts, and bordelaise. (Absolutely hit the spot. The steak was perfectly cooked with a satisfying sear and a warm center that melted in my mouth.) - Old Fashioned Brownie (Dense and rich and creamy and warm and cold and so nice.) - Baked Alaska (The flavors and textures here were incredible. The gingerbread base had fresh pieces of ginger, and the puffed rice praline that surrounded the dish was crunchy and chewy and sweet and salty. The only thing was the pumpkin semifreddo was rock solid which made it pretty difficult to break into. Once we waited for it to melt a little, it was great.) - Mini cranberry curd tarts with candied pumpkin seeds (Such a nice surprise from the chef to end the meal!) I also tried my boyfriend's Wagyu Burger which was huge! And his fries of course. They were delightfully crispy and salty, such a great complement to the burger. Zoes is classy and timeless. Marc, the sommelier, knows his stuff and is very caring toward every guest. He even told us about all of the experiences they offer for chef's tastings and private functions, plus the crazy list of wines they sell by the bottle.

Yelp
Definite must visit in Virginia Beach. The service was excellent. Our server was also a sommelier and very knowledgeable. His name was Patrick. The fois gras was succulent. Steak perfectly seared to medium rare and the salmon/ seafood dish was fresh and flavorful. Loved the setting inside. Warm and inviting.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had dinner there on December 15th. We made reservation a week in advance. Upon arrival the hostess was very pleasant. Our waitress was so pleasant and professional. All of the wait staff were all extremely attentive. The atmosphere was romantic. We both ordered the filet mignon and a side order of miso honey brussels sprouts. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were so tender and flavorful. The Miso Honey Brussel Sprouts we delicious. We ended the meal with a fantastic piece of carrot cake that was fantastic. It also happens to be so gigantic that we shared the piece and then had more then half left that we took home. The valet was great too. He was super pleasant and engaging. The entire experience was remarkable and we plan to go back many times.

Yelp
They are great, worth every penny. And yes, the dinner here runs over $250+, but I was happy to pay as their food, service and overall atmosphere were great. 1. Reservation - required This restaurant is very popular, you will need to make a reservation. I asked to be seated outside and they have placed a table for us specially and I loved it. The weather was perfect too. 2. Food - amazing. i thoroughly enjoyed everything here. - Chef's tasting board - must try! - Beef tartare - very delicious, wish they serve with more bread though - Chopped Iceberg salad - looks very normal, but surprisingly good - Avocado soup - wow, I never had avocado soup before and now I am a fan! - Surf n turf - MUST try too. It has everything, why would I choose one thing when I can have it all? steak, lobster, shrimp and scallops and more!! - Burger - was okay, not a good place for burger - Cappuccino - was great too - Desserts - just okay, nothing special. 3. Drinks - good and have amazingly expansive wine selection. They even have super rare wine that costs over $3K! Was the bottle I bought good? yes, was it worth paying double what I would have paid if I bought in store? still heck yeah, cause they recommended a good wine that paired well. 4. Service - hands down the best among the Virginia beach restaurants. I loved every interaction we had with staff members starting from the greeter to the wine expert to our server. All consistent, high end restaurant attitude and service. 5. Parking - valet available

Yelp
An intimate setting just a few blocks from the oceanfront and a block from the convention center. If you're looking for a wonderful meal or celebrate an anniversary, first date etc, this is the place. Service is outstanding as well. Definitely dress to impress because they will knock your socks off!

Yelp
I have frequented many higher end restaurants in my day, but Zoe's will rank as one of the best. Literally every dish we had was absolutely exquisite - my only regret was that I didn't get dessert! Aside from the food, the ambiance was very cozy and had a nice atmosphere. Although I came with my family, I can see this being a great date night spot for just you and a special someone. The service left little to be desired, from the valet to the host and the serving staff everyone was friendly and attentive. Our server, Dave, deserves special mention. He was not only incredibly pleasant, but also very knowledgeable. I wasn't crazy about the automatically added 20% gratuity. In fact, I would have tipped more if it were not for that. All things considered, I would recommend to anyone and may return someday if we return to Virginia Beach.

Yelp
Amazing service, friendly staff, delicious food, and romantic and peaceful ambiance. Everything was delicious and they have a wine master who can recommend wines to go with your meal. They brought us complimentary appetizers and dessert and made us feel so welcome! A great choice for a date night or special occasion.

Yelp
David our Captain and his team were stellar! To be clear I am assuming he was the Captain because we also had a server and a busboy. (He did not make this claim) He just relocated back to VB, from Colorado and I am glad he did. He's a great addition to Zoe's team. From the reservation to the check, our night was made exceptional. I noted that we would be celebrating my nieces graduation. Later that day, I was contacted and asked her name for a card which was signed by the whole staff. We were seated at the Chef's table. And an orchestra of food began. Though we did not drink wine, David did impress us with his new found knowledge and passion for the position of sommelier. I love when a person has that much passion for their craft. It makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Being seated at the chefs table was quite a treat for all of us, especially my niece who hopes to attend culinary school next spring. As usual the feel of Zoe's is always 5 star and still some how a little neighbor hangout. But class "from the get" as we say.

Yelp
Exceptionally fine dining in a great atmosphere. Mark the owner and his staff provide "HIGH QUALITY" cuisine and service for a most enjoyable evening. My wife and I enjoyed a great evening at one of Virginia Beach's elite restaurants. Thank you Zoes for a most memorable gastronomic experience. *Btw, the kitchen will very much accommodate for people with Celiac and Gluten Intolerance, just let your server know. I highly recommend the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Tenderloin, you can easily cut it with a fork and the flavor is sublime. Buon Appetito!

Yelp
Went here last summer while on vacation. At Zoe's I had the best steak I ever had.(filet mignon) We also had really good service and I forgot her name but she had brown hair.

Yelp
This restaurant is by the va beach convention center at oceanfront. Cute little spot and they offer complementary valet too. Just have change for tip! We came here to celebrate our friends birthday. We had a table of 8 in the back room which was nice cause we had our own space. Our server was really nice, patient and attentive. We ordered our drinks and apps. I was hoping the menu had more seafood on the entree list but there was only salmon available for an entree. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the mussels which was a app as his entree. We also ordered the truffle fries on the side. I thought everything was good when it came out. The salmon entree came with asparagus and risotto and wished it came with more veggies. My hubs had a huge bowl of mussels and he liked it a lot. The truffles fries were the best. It was shoestring fries and came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered desserts to share and they added candles to it so we can sing HBD. The crème brûlée was good and also the carrot cake perfect ending to our dinner. When we got up we didn't even realize everyone else was gone and we closed the place down. Really nice restaurant. Be sure to make reservations!!
