The 24 Best Restaurants In Lyon - Lyon - The Infatuation

"This 100% vegan cornerside spot manages to serve up the butteriest-tasting pain au chocolat in the city, and the vanilla flan would fool any purist capable of sussing out a single drop of sweetened condensed milk. There’s a couch and a handful of tables in the bright dining room, but the spacious outdoor patio is where you want to be—there are two levels with bistro tables, where a pedestrian path running along the side of the building makes for great people-watching. While “vegan” is often synonymous with “inflated prices,” a croissant here costs no more than in a regular bakery, and the coffee is some of the cheapest in town. Be sure to grab founder Louise Rogelet’s vegan cookbook on the way out." - anna richards

Beautiful vegan pastries and lots of selection for everyone’s tastes 🍰 I visited twice during my stay and had takeaway each time. The blueberry muffin was delicious and the praline brioche is native to the region, it wasn’t my favourite flavour but was good to try it!

The owner and chef of Indian Corner in Lyon recommended Zoï to us and so glad he did! Very affordable, completely vegan. Had the snickers there and two backpacks full of baguettes and cinnamon rolls for our onward train ride later today. Friendly service and indoor and outdoor seating.

We went to Zoi every day during our stay in Lyon and loved it! The Brioche are amazing, the pastries insanely good and the sandwiches tasty and filling. Everthing is fully vegan and both my omnivore partner and I enjoyed all of their food. Coffee was great, too. Highly recommended.

The best vegan patisserie I've ever been to. Brioche, brownie, speculoos cookie, you name it, all of it was delicious!! The best thing I tried was the cookie and the chocolate roll. Speechless, also the location is sublime, amazing view and lovely staff. Terrace is available as well. The prices are also completely fair. Big fan!!

Great tasting vegan cakes and pastries and kind waitress. The outside serving tables were very dirty (hair and other stuff). They closed the indoor seating 1 hour before closing the restaurant. They use Alpro products which is unfortunate because Alpro is be boycotted by socially responsible people due to c0mplicity in the 3en0c!de in Ga2a.

We arrived at 1 PM and all the sandwiches were sold out. The pastries were good. The blueberry muffin was doughy inside and heavy. The pain du chocolate was heavy and dense as well.

I went to Zoï on my birthday (15-05-2024 15:40) with my boyfriend, just to enjoy a simple coffee. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt off — pretentious and unwelcoming. We were greeted with loud, mocking laughter coming from either a waitress or maybe a cook’s friend, dressed in a way that felt more like a bad joke than hospitality. Then we were served by the barwoman, who had such a cold, dismissive attitude it was honestly shocking. No warmth, no courtesy — just total indifference. We paid 9€ for two coffees and left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. This place tries to come off as modern and edgy, but in reality, it’s full of repressed, judgmental people who don’t know the first thing about genuine hospitality. Won’t be going back and absolutely do not recommend it. * reply to you reply: 16:21 15.05.2025 It would have been more appropriate to acknowledge the mistake and offer an apology, rather than becoming defensive and attacking your customers. We posted photos of our order to clearly support our experience — not to harm your business, but to describe what happened. Your reply only reinforces the attitude we encountered, and sadly confirms our decision never to return, even though we are neighbours. Shame on you.

I loved it here. To only negative point. The left side where the bakerys are was a lot of 🐝 wasps where was eating the bakerys, the food must be more protected
