"This restaurant boasts what is arguably the best location in the centre of Split, with a long panoramic terrace that runs alongside the southern section of the Palace of Diocletian and offers fine views of the port. The cuisine blends Mediterranean tradition with historic recipes, creating a distinctive and flavorful experience. In addition to the à la carte menu, there are two tasting menus: the Zoi Echo, focused on seafood, and the Zoi Terra, offering vegetarian dishes. We recommend booking a table on the top floor to fully enjoy the stunning view." - Michelin Inspector

MICHELIN Guide Croatia : Gastronomic highlights in Split

"Nestled in the heart of the historic centre in the tourist area overlooking the port, this elegant address pairs stylish decor with Mediterranean cuisine prepared using modern techniques. Specialities include smoked trout with daikon, crispy fennel and trout roe for extra flavour, and sea bass with fresh crispy celery, spirulina, local extra-virgin olive oil and spicy apple to add a touch of character. In addition, the top-floor panoramic terrace enjoys superb views of the port." - Annalisa Leopolda Cavaleri

Amazing Experience! Our dinner was just incredible from beginning to end! The service was spot on, everyone was super kind and welcoming. The food was fantastic (we went for the 7 course menu), and my absolute favorite was the octopus, hands down the best I’ve ever had! We paired everything with Croatian wines, and each one was just perfect. Honestly, I have no idea why ZOI doesn’t have at least one Michelin star, it totally deserves one!

Zoi is a beautiful restaurant right by the sea with an amazing atmosphere. The food is creative and delicious, using fresh local ingredients with a modern twist. The service is friendly and professional, and the views over the promenade make the experience even more special. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality and setting.

A lovely experience dining at ZOI. They were able to accommodate our reservation only a few hours before. The sunset sea views from the patio area are a really nice backdrop. Excellent selection of wines, and the 7 course tasting menu was great, lots of variety and rich food. The tuna, beef, and desserts were particularly delicious. Staff were attentive and looked after us well, including bringing a special surprise birthday dessert and sparking wine as a celebratory gesture.

Great fine dinning experience, with a view that’s just as good as the food. We tried the 7 course meal with wine pairing. Food was great and they don’t feed to wine to make you drunk just the right amount and the waitress was super friendly and very informative 🇿🇦

My two friends and I tried the tasting menu, and it was a complete letdown. For the high price, you get tiny portions—mostly foams and garnishes with barely any substance. The beef was drowning in an overly salty gravy, and one dish was served on dry grass that had *live ants crawling out of it*. The flavor combinations were just as bad. The "spicy octopus with cream" tasted like a terrible mistake—imagine eating something reminiscent of vomit. Even after seven courses, we left hungry (no surprise they tack on two desserts to compensate). Save your money and skip this—it’s not worth the regret.

I and my husband had a lovely date night at this wonderful restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly and our server was just perfect. We learnt a lot about the wine options, the vineyards, the grape etc before we chose. We chose the 3 course al a carte menu which was just delicious. The presentation of the food was simply a form of art!! The atmosphere and the view was incredible and to know we were sat on the terrace of a 1700 year old palace walls just made it all that more special! A lovely memory we will take away from Split!

Zoi offers very good food, both in taste and presentation, and the setting is beautiful. However, the service fell short of the standard one would expect in such a restaurant. When our waitress asked if we enjoyed the meal, we replied positively, only to receive the comment: “Obviously, you licked the plates.” While perhaps intended as a joke, it came across as unprofessional and left us uncomfortable. With food and ambiance at this level, a bit more refinement and professionalism in service would make the overall experience truly exceptional.

An unforgettable experience in a place steeped in history. The sunset atmosphere, along with the smells, flavors, and colors of the food, create a magical atmosphere. I can make special mention of the octopus and the truffled egg. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Zoi :)
