Absolutely stellar experience at the service center. I went in to drop off my water boiler which had been working great for nearly 8 years. I only found out about this place after trying to repair it myself. Stepping into the service center it feels like you're in Japan. Most of the staff are Japanese, the hallway conversations are in Japanese, and it's all very organized and respectful. A few minutes after stopping in, a gentleman, I think by the name of Vance came out to help us. He was a very knowledgeable technician as he really knew the machine inside and out. These water boilers are of the highest quality and they can be repaired. That same afternoon he called me explaining the options and what he could do. It was ready the next day and the repair bill was extremely reasonable, much cheaper than buying a new unit. They had cleaned the unit up nicely and replace everything they needed to replace. The bagged it up nicely and it was brought out by a really kind and happy gentleman who seemed happy as I was to get the boiler back. The whole experience was delightful and it's no wonder this company has been around so long.

We brought our old rice cooker because the battery for the timer was not working. We met the sales person & Vance the technician he explained the process of changing our battery. They were extremely nice & friendly. We were pleasantly surprised it only took 2 days to fix it!! They gave it back the rice cooker in plastic bag with a nice reusable carrying bag! Only charged $5.60 for lithium battery & $10 service fee!!

My thermos cap rubber ring broke and I went to buy a spare part. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful.

I have owned several Zojirushi appliances throughout my life and each and every one of them has always exceeded my expectations! My coffee maker lasted 20 years and still tasted great until its last days. Always dependable! Thank you!

Google
Zojirushi appliance service is abysmal. Only one centre for the whole of Canada. You must obtain a return label so that you can pay for delivery and return of your appliance. Depending where you live that could be more than the cost of a new item. My rice cooker will not function until I replace the clock battery. This is conveniently soldered in place so that it can only replaced by the one centre. So the life expectancy of the cooker is essentially the same as the life of the battery. I contacted the company but regrettably that is their policy. Buyer beware.

I purchased a pan (B263) to replace the old one in September and a week later I found the old rice cooker was beyond the repair. So I bought a new rice cooker a week later and tried to contact the customer service to return the pan. After two forms filed online within 4 weeks, there has not been any feedback or confirmation from them. Later the service showed they sent confirmation twice but I did not receive them. False alarm.

Google
All of the negative reviews are BS. Eight year old rice cooker fixed in a day. No upcharge, reasonable repair cost, and they cleaned the unit to like-new condition for no additional charge. If I had known that it was going to be so inexpensive, I would have purchased a new rice bowl. Kudos to Zojirushi for making quality products in Japan, and providing the same level of service in the US, as they do domestically. AAA+++!!! Can I have a free coffee maker 😂? Seriously, you are awesome!!!

Google
Disposable e-waste I recently purchased a Zojirushi rice cooker to replace my old Zojirushi one that I used for over 25 years. It still worked, but the coating on the inside pan was peeling and could not be replaced. My new Zojirushi rice cooker lasted 1.25 years. When I contacted customer service, they reminded me several times that the warranty was for 1 year. They advised me to send the rice cooker back to them, so that they could diagnose and repair at my expense. That means shipping to and from, parts and labor. The cost would be about the price I paid for the new rice cooker. Unacceptable! Zojirushi products used to be top of the line. Not anymore. Their products and quality have totally gone down the drain and are no longer worth the high-end price tag. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand that has a better warranty, better quality with a lower price. Regarding Zojirushi response: You are correct about not treating one customer differently from others. Your company should treat all customers the same, as if you would like to retain them all. Repeatedly reminding them that there is a one-year warranty reminds them that Zojirushi is purposely selling junk. I have already contacted you and have calculated that the “cost of shipping, packaging, freight, transportation or delivery fees” will be more than what I originally paid for the rice cooker. I have already replaced the famed Zojirushi rice cooker with a product that is less that half the cost, has a longer warranty and was not made in China.

Yelp
I have one of the original Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy rice cookers which was over 7 years old. It recently started malfunctioning for no apparent reason and was shutting off after only a few seconds. I called Zojirushi America's retail customer service in Torrance, CA, and was ready to send my unit in for repairs. But the very competent customer service agent (Jesse) started asking me questions, told me to try a certain setting with water in it, then wait for the unit to cool before using it again. And lo and behold, Jesse solved my problem for me! I appreciated his patience and complete knowledge of this pricey little machine, and with this excellent customer service, way out of warranty, I think I got my money's worth from Zojirushi. Thank you!

Yelp
Love the rice maker. Hate the distributor that I have to deal with (this one, the one in Torrance.) I purchased a part that broke on my 10-year-old rice maker according to the description and my rice maker model number. Its a $28 part which looks like $2 worth of material. Plus $8.95 shipping. Received it -- doesn't fit, not even close! Contacted them to return and told I would pay return shipping and also the shipping fee is not refundable. F U. Don't buy replacement parts from them.

Yelp
Zojirushi produced a rice cooker that I love but this review is about their bread maker - it dazzled me beyond all expectation. The Zojirushi bread maker is the only one you'll find that has two mixing paddles at the bottom of the non-stick pan and a heating element on the lid so the top of the loaf of bread is as tan as the sides and bottom. Clean up takes a minute because I only have to rinse out the pan - no scrubbing! But that's just the beginning of why this is THE bread machine to buy. Zojirushi uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize ingredient use (e.g. ensuring everything is at the same temp when the dough is created) and reproduce preferred cooking settings. Why did I buy this? I looked at my Instacart receipts to add up how much I spent on bread in the past year. I was shocked at how it added up. Based on our bread purchases, the price of the Zojirushi bread maker will pay for itself in a year. Ok that and I had a ton of flour left over from holiday baking. I couldn't imagine myself making dough, proofing bread, flouring the countertop, forming loaves, etc. when I could just dump ingredients into a non-stick pan and then shake out a cooked loaf onto a cooling rack. Done. They provide a recipe book with color pics and easy instructions as well as online recipes that work perfectly in the machine. They even include a custom setting button so I can load favorite recipes. I can customize dough resting times, etc., once I become a baking wiz! In the meantime, I'm using their recipes, King Arthur flour recipes and online recipes with great success! So now, we eat preservative- and chemical-free bread. I make pumpernickel bread with dried cherries, sesame, flax, Jewish rye and white breads. I've made dough for stromboli and plan on making dough for bagels and challah! Zojirushi included both recipes in their book. I also want to make jam in the machine since it has a setting to do that! Our house smells so delicious when the bread is baking. I haven't yet used the timer, but I can set it up so we wake up to freshly baked bread. I bet that'll get us outta bed fast!

Yelp
We love the Zojirushi bread maker, one of the few on the market with two paddles for mixing the bread; it makes delicious fluffy bread and great taste! We are also very impressed with the customer service we received at Zojirushi America Corporation! Our bread machine had some technical issues with the belts and the technicians at Zojirushj were able to diagnose the issue immediately and then repair effectively and get the bread machine back in best shape. They even did a bake test to ensure the repair was 100% effective in address the issue (see pictures). Especially thankful to Jasmine & Josephine for the great customer service!

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars because this company does not deserve any. I've been a long time fan of zojirushi and always buy their product due to how reliable and long lasting their items are so when I bought my new rice cooker to replace my old one. Never have I been so disappointed with their customer service and products. The moment I started using my new rice cooker, it stop working after using it once! I contact customer service and it was nightmare. The person who emailed me did not even read my problem and just sent me an automatic response on how to cook rice with their rice cooker. Really? I hate to say this but I was really offended when I saw that message. Even though I explain my problem and inform them that I followed ALL of their directions (booklet and stickers). I get an automatic message. Eventually, I talk with her (which was a week later) and the way the issue was being handled was horrible! When talking with her, she tried to make me feel guilty for breaking the product for not properly reading the instructions and pressured me to send the product to inspection which I was not comfortable doing in fear of them being dishonest on the damage so I eventually ask for a refund to be told "no" because I used the product (mind you, I only used the rice cooker ONCE). I should have known better after seeing the warning text on the booklet and I ignored it because of my love for this company. Seeing that they care more about money than their services. I am no longer supporting them. Be warned, their return & refund policy is a pain in the behind! If you use their product ONCE, you will not get a replacement or a refund. They rather have you send the product to inspection where you will be responsible paying for EVERYTHING. You will pay for the shipping to inspection, shipping back to your house, and any damages they find in your product (fixing, part replacement, etc). What worse is that if the mail is not gentle with your package. Expect to pay more than you planned. DON'T BUY FROM THEM.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst customer service ever! I have tried to reach a human... forget about getting anything other than an automated response via email. I ordered an insulated coffee thermos as soon as birthday present for my daughter.... Never was shipped but my credit card was charged immediately. They refuse to refund or cancel the order. Notified my credit card company and disputed the charge.

Yelp
Bought a rice cooker to replace my old one which I have had for 10+ years it still works but the handle broke off and is a pain to open and close. The new one I broke stopped working within the first couple of months. I was super bummed but happy since it was still under warranty. I have had repaired 2 times already and every time it only works for a short time before it burns out. The last time they won't even repair it for me since I use chicken broth to cook my rice! No where does it state that you have to use only water! Maybe you shouldn't have your parts manufactured from China, use better quality parts!!! You just lost me as a customer!!

Yelp
I have been a Zojirushi owner for almost 4 decades. The battery on my rice cooker (purchased 9 years ago on Amazon) died and power became intermittent. The customer service person advised to bring it in to look at the battery and retractable power cord. So I brought it on Friday 12/17/21 and I received a call from Vance on Monday 12/20/21 confirming what I thought the problems were. Got a call on Tuesday 12/22 and the cooker is ready for pickup. The rice cooker is working again like brand new. The stain on the hot plate was even removed. The receptionist is so nice she gave me a Hello Kitty sticker for my sister. This is phenomenal customer service and testament to a company backing their products! And, it only cost me 1/5 of what could have been a brand new cooker. I didn't mind the drive especially during the pandemic since it gave me a reason to get out of the house.

Yelp
I left a negative review earlier but it was due to a misunderstanding. Despite my angst, this company still offered to help me and go above and beyond to remedy the situation. Thank you Lina, I am grateful for your patience and understanding. You didn't have to help me but you did anyways and for that, I want to say thank you again.

Yelp
I asked my husband and father to each select a Zojirushi rice cooker for father's day. Although they arrived in a timely manner just down the freeway, the difficulties started then. I attempted to return one of the cookers, it had been too big for my parents. I followed the website protocol and exchanged emails with Jesse (customer service/returns person), who requested the same information in reply to each email: the cooker was not used (correct) and in original box (yes), and why did we need to return it? Over and over. It took four days of circuitous email to be granted a return authorization number and the address for mailing it back (on my own dime, $28.00 intra-state). After this was accomplished and I received shipping confirmation and a signed receipt for the delivery, I wrote several more times to Jesse who said he was still trying to verify they received the return (a week later). I sent all the info again, when it arrived, who signed for it, etc. He then asked for a copy of the UPS tag. Next he replied tersely that he had checked with his shipping department (specifically where I was told mail it to with the return authorization number) and they didn't thave it and there was no employee there with that name. So either Zojirushi is lying or UPS is lying. Given the poor communication "style" of Zojirushi and their overly inconvenient return procedure, I have formed my opinion. I had to waste time on the phone attempting to grant access to be able to mail back the too-large cooker, and the the executive Jesse told me "to take up a claim with UPS" when he could not explained how an "employee" signed for it who didn't work there. I did file a claim with UPS, who has yet to pay for the $28.00. My credit card company quickly came to the aid of the consumer and granted me buyer protection. Kudos to Wells Fargo! Anyone considering this high-end product, buyer beware, there is no going back on your decision and this company is terrible to do any business with.

Yelp
I wanted to update my original negative review to give Zojirushi credit for continuing a conversation with me about the problems I documented with the insulated vacuum carafe I purchased some while back. I should have, but did not, ask for a refund or replacement within their warranty period. So I was completely depending on their goodwill to stand behind the correction of this defect. And after several e-mail exchanges, they offered to replace the glass vacuum liner if I would pay for postage and handling. I CONSIDERED THIS A VERY FAIR OFFER AND ACCEPTED. The replacement arrived, in excellent condition, I replaced the liner and the carafe is working wonderfully. Thank you, Zojirushi!

Yelp
I bought a Zojirushi boiler and it last merely 3 years and it dried up one day and the bottom heating pad rust and circuit burnt out. Estimate repair cost almost $70 I later bought another one and it started to crack and rust. Zojirushi said they cannot predict durability. Many old boilers last more than 16 years and they are still going. Recent version would not last 3+ years. What is going wrong? They break very quickly. I would not suggest to buy Zojirushi again.

Yelp
Zojirushi home bakery virtuoso bread machine I bought online from Kohl s, a Christmas gift. Missing important part to make bread, kneading blades.A $5.00 part and I get a big runaround from there costumer service on line.Unprofessional service,if you have a problem ask for mangers and you get taken care of right away!!!!

Yelp
I used to be a Zojirushi fan - rice cookers and hot water pot. However, after going through 3 hot water pots within 10 years all due to the same issue, I have given up. My most recent hot water pot (made in japan!) has rust due to a tiny speck of the coating on the inside coming off. I use citric acid or vinegar to clean the interior at least once a month since I use dispenser very frequently. However, it doesn't seem to make a difference with this issue of rust. I contacted Zojirushi and all the person could say was you need a receipt (who keeps receipts for a hot water dispenser???) and that I just need to clean it frequently and it's okay to still use. Sorry, but I disagree. I will never buy another one again.

Yelp
I felt compelled to let this company know how pleased I am with their carafe coffee maker. It is going on 13 years and still makes perfect hot coffee. I didn't even know a coffee maker could last that long. I don't know about their other products, but if this one ever gives up the ghost, I'll be replacing it with another Zojirushi coffee maker!

William L.

Yelp
We bought their coffee maker. The carafe soon broke. We wanted to order another but were told it was out of stock for at least two months. Someone was supposed to contact us when it was back in stock. No one has. In the end we had a to buy a whole second coffee maker to get the carafe! Won't make this mistake again, and recommend that you don't make it the first time.

Ben V.

Yelp
I was under the impression that the Zojirushi EC-BD15 coffee maker would be a great maker to purchase. I have really enjoyed the product until one day after three years the machine wouldn't brew. I have purchased Coffeemate machines and Mr. Coffee machines, all of which lasted longer than this coffee maker. I have taken good care of this machine, yet it broke after three years of use. Is this normal? I feel that the company should replace the machine, but there is a one year warranty, so I will have to foot the bill for another maker. It won't be a Zojirushi this time.
