"This local chain’s light-filled Kirkland location sports modern accents and paintings that are often completed on-site by local artists. Ample seating, floor-to-ceiling windows, and creative beverages, such as the lavender mocha, make it a popular social spot for remote workers and rainy-day meetups. Those in a hurry, beware: This is a place to sit and sip, not grab and go." - Maggy Lehmicke

Great quality drinks and nice service! They also have breakfast sandwiches for ~$9.50 (menu is on the window near the register, overpriced for the size imo but still good). Their staff picks are usually 10/10 if you wanna try something different. I always stop by here whenever I'm in the area :)

I recently visited this coffee shop, and while the ambiance was undeniably chic and earthy-cute, it was unfortunately let down by the drinks. The coffee was disappointing—weak and lacked the richness I was hoping for. The tea was no better, and the lattes just missed the mark. The portions felt off, and they weren’t hot enough, which really took away from the experience. It’s a great place for a cozy vibe, but if you’re a coffee or tea lover, you might want to pass on the drinks here.

Google
The service was great, and the staff were friendly. But, wow, the coffee's pricey, and there aren't many seats. Street parking's free, or it's a buck an hour in the lot.

Google
I visited this coffee shop today and, to be honest, I was really disappointed. I ordered a caramel latte, but it had no caramel flavor, no sweetness, and tasted completely bland. It was like drinking plain coffee with milk, which was really underwhelming. I also tried the spiced mocha, and it was just as disappointing—there was no spice, no richness, just a flavorless cup. It was a letdown, especially since I had high hopes. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the service was good, but sadly, the drinks were just not it. Hopefully this place can work on improving the flavor and quality of their drinks.

Google
Coffee was decent, there is better nearby but it was still satisfying. The ambience is nice with lots of greenery but ironically the staff was the loudest part of the place. I'm glad they were having fun but it did seem to go against the grain of the customers vibes. Everyone else was working or reading.

Google
Great ambiance, I just kinda wish they had more chairs or tables and also put up ‘Reserved’ signs for tables ahead of time. I was sitting down at the big table and no one told me the table was actually reserved for a meeting nor did I see any signs on the table upon sitting down. About 30 minutes in, one of the people in the meeting told me I had to move and that I wasn’t able to sit there because they reserved it for their group and so I was stuck looking around for a bit and didn’t know where to go. Luckily a nice guy in the corner let me sit beside him. Other than that, the barista’s are super nice and the vibes are awesome.

Google
Nice vibes, spacious, good for coffee and work. Nice and friendly staff. I had drip coffee, haven't tried the espresso beverages.

Google
Ordered spiced Mocha and it was delicious!! Chilli and nutmeg in coffee! What a surprisingly great combo. Good thing they don’t use any flavored syrups but the powdered Mocha.

Yelp
My favorite coffee joint in all of Washington! The ambience is just buzzing and full of life and feel good feelings. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating as well. They are clean and there's a lot of seating inside as well as some chairs for outdoor seating. They also have complimentary water, which is great! They have a good selection of pastry items and pastries are half off after 2 pm! They also hang art from local artists so I love the support for the community as well. This coffee shop will always have a place in my heart when visiting Washington

Yelp
Was meeting a friend I hadn't seen for a couple of years and we agreed to meet at Zoka. Parking is all paid nearby and it is a little hard to get to since it's in Downtown Kirkland. I love that the coffee shop is on the corner of the building! It is so great seeing its fun interior and greenery. The service was nice and friendly. Walking inside it was wowza to see the amount of people there studying. I was worried we wouldn't find a good seat but we got lucky. Coffee was great! Not a lot of food options. Mainly breakfast/ pastries and at 3pm on a weekend they were out of most pastries. Overall I'd go again, but having to pay for parking and looking for a seat is a little intimidating so I'd probably only go if I'm in the area!

Yelp
This was an amazing place to coffee! The coffee was good and so was the last cookie there(snickerdoodle). Although the line was long, our coffe came quickly! Would recommend.

Yelp
Wow I love them! They have various locations around Seattle plus this one on the Eastside yaay! They are very good. Their coffee is deep but not bitter. I like it warm personally but cold can also be a good option on a warm day. Two people from my party like their expresso warm and sipped at once because they tell "that's the way" :D I love the one under This place has almost same options always. It has changed from when I first came. I remember some sofas on the left side. It felt cozy drinking coffee with a Lady Yum macaroon from next door. This time it felt more like an open cafeteria were single parties occupy a whole table with just one cup of coffee and work all day long. It felt like an office. There was no space just to hang out and drink coffee in a cozy way. Could there be individual spots for working people and other options for other customers to talk? I noticed also the art wall changed. Nice!

Yelp
I've tried Zoka a few different times over a couple years and have never enjoyed the drinks. I've ordered different things each time and they have all tasted overly watery/milky with an odd sugar balance. I think the location is cute and inviting but I think I'll stop coming in hoping for a different experience

McKenzie J.

Yelp
I enjoyed spending time here today. It has a nice atmosphere with lots of greenery! The baristas are friendly and my drink was made with good time. They were moderately busy. My latte was good, the espresso was nice, but the microfoam was thicker like a cappuccino v latte. The zucchini bread was great!

Colleen K.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop!! I LOVE all the big windows and how aesthetic Zoka is. Their coffee is always really great, and it's a perfect place to stop by and work for a bit or just grab a quite bite/drink and walk down to the waterfront. We ordered the Honey Cardamom Latté & Brown Sugar Oat Milk Latté (which we liked a little better). Both were really good though! Will definitely be back to try some of their teas and pastries.

Nikita S.

Yelp
Highly recommend the "Aztec Mocha" (Hot). It was amazing! It felt like hot chocolate hugging coffee with a hint of cinnamon. Loved the unique flavor and balance of chocolate and coffee! However, the ambience and service was decent. Will definitely go back again to have it to-go

Peter L.

Yelp
Stopped by when I was in Kirkland on a Sunday morning and it was really packed and loud, which can be good or bad depending on the vibe you're looking for. Tried a flat white and an iced latte. Service was friendly and coffee was solid.

Laiha C.

Yelp
Popped in here because I was going to get a pedicure at bayside nails, but after waiting 15 minutes + to get seated , I decided to just leave and grab a coffee instead. Have driven by Zola many times and it's always crowded. Surely due to the prime location. But I thought now would be a great time to finally try. The atmosphere is loud and lively. Which I don't mind either way... although I wouldn't come here to get work done or do anything that takes concentration. I ordered an iced lavender white mocha with oat milk. When I paid I was a bit taken aback by the total of 9.87 for one drink. I then hoped my coffee would taste amazing and somehow justify that price.... But it doesn't. She's alright. But I can't taste any lavender which is highly disappointing so I just feel like I'm drinking an okay white mocha. The flavor of the espresso is good. Good enough for a $10 drink? Not to me.

Yelp
We walked into Zoka hoping for iced tea and a coffee for the honey, and the honey got his coffee. To start, Zoka Coffee Roaster & Tea Company does not currently have AC and quite frankly, it's baseline stuffy, borderline unsafe for their baristas, especially with as many people as were in attendance this last weekend. We got in line and it turns out Zoka (unlike most coffee/tea spots) won't make any tea they have in stock into iced tea. Which is fine, but it took a couple back and forths to understand that as the barista just kept confirming two tea flavors - instead of simply saying, 'we only have two iced teas available'. Since Zoka also doesn't carry coconut milk there wasn't much else on the menu I could drink. I ended up re-downloading the Starbucks app since it's just across the street and I can trust they'll always have my milk option in stock. I do want to say that I really appreciate shops that carry oat, almond, and coconut milk for allergy accessibility and I hope that Zoka looks into carrying other options since I prefer shopping small. That being said, we are unlikely to return.

Yelp
This was the worst coffee shop I've ever been too...I ordered an iced matcha. Would not recommend, I wouldn't even give that to a homeless man it was that bad. The vanilla latte was awful too! Only decent thing was the Thai tea!!

Krystina J.

Yelp
Such a cute spot. Very spacious on the inside. Various areas to sit & chat or work. Great for small & larger groups. The barista was helpful & kind. The chai's are delicious!

Sahas G.

Yelp
Despite a beautiful interior Zoka was ultimately disappointing in their drinks. We ordered both the iced honey cardamom latte which was borderline flavorless and the iced Aztec mocha which was unpalatable. Would not recommend coming here--drinks were left unfinished.

Nataliya V.

Yelp
A nice local spot to grab a cup of coffee and take a walk by the Kirkland waterfront.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Love the ambience and plants at this coffee shop. Great place to hang out and get some work done too. Not sure about the service though... It would be tremendously helpful if maybe they took our names for the order. It just got really busy and the employees and customers were equally lost, a bit of a mess. Good for coffee (if you get what you asked for) but their food is just okay. Could be improved.

Michele S.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, yummy pastry (glutinous and gluten-free), modern airy design and space to set up a laptop or chat with friends. I love this Zoka location in the heart of downtown Kirkland. It's always in the must-visit list when in the area. Usually a line, but quick service. Try the brown sugar oat latte or the cardamom honey latte!

Marie R.

Yelp
I got the honey lavender latte with coconut milkZ I usually get my lattes with oat milk but they were out of oat milk. The lavender was not overpowering, but it was a little too sweet for me. I think that if I got the oat milk, it wouldn't have been as sweet. This is such a cool location though. They have a lot of seats for people who need or want to study or work or even just chill there! I'd love to try their other drinks next time!

Diane T.

Yelp
Very cute cafe with a decent amount of seating & high ceilings. It feels very open & spacious. Bf and I both ordered flavored lattes, but neither one tasted like the flavor. His was peppermint & it almost tasted like chai which was odd. That's why we knocked off a star. For over $12 for 2 coffees I expect a good flavor.

Jazzi Y.

Yelp
ZOKAS, this place is so delicious, and the coffee hits every time. my standard for quad lavender lattes was raised after trying one here. the coffee shop is so cute and in such a good location the baristas are so nice and all of there syrups are house made. absolutely my favorite coffee shop in kirkland area. only downside for me is parking, there isn't a parking lot per say so u may have to park father and walk. but the coffee is worth it.

Liz F.

Yelp
This is a staple spit in downtown kirkland. They always have great coffee and tea. I love their eggnog latte and lavender latte. It's a beautiful location with a good amount of seating. Customer service is lacking though. I waited 40 minutes for my latte and sandwich, with only one person in line ahead of me. Turns out... they forgot about my sandwich and I had to ask them to make it. Staff really care less about customers. Hence the 3 stars.

Kamille S.

Yelp
$8 for a 10 oz pour over (I'm not convinced that it was even 10 oz, looked more like 8 at most)?!? Zoka's coffee is quality and the staff are always pleasant but the cost of 10 oz pour over is EXTREMELY overpriced. We won't be back.

Kriti A.

Yelp
Smack dab in Kirkland downtown, its hard to miss Zoka Coffee roasters! We were there for a walk and decided to finally give this a try. The interior is quite fun for a cafe with enough space to work / sit in the cafe. The menu had great options like cardamom and lavender honey lattes and I went for one of their specials - lavender latte. My husband tried their cappucino. Their cappucino was very muted and I have definitely had better. The lavender latte was good and I would recommend that for your next visit. A one time stop for me!

Jessica S.

Yelp
Loved the vibe of this place - like being an arty European coffee shop. Lots of areas to sit, big tables to eat if you're so inclined. The coffee was good, although I just had a boring vanilla latte - it was solid but not "knock your socks off". Looking at the other reviews, I kind of wish I'd been a bit more adventurous! It was a great spot to hang out in, though, and in spite of the line for coffee, we didn't have to wait long or have trouble finding a place to sit. Look forward to my next visit!

OJ J.

Yelp
We arrived 2 min after 6 pm. The advertised closing hour is 7 pm, see image. Even at 6:02 she has already mopped the floor, moved the chairs and closed the register. Meaning her claim they close at six is also false because she must have stopped taking customer at 5:30 well before her claim. The other claim she maid that the AC is down and she can't sell beans. We were not there to sit, just grab two espresso bean bag. I don't buy their stuff just their espresso beans. On top of the lies, she was plain rude and if my wife and kid were not with me, I would let her have it. I will buy the beans because the coffee is good but no tips to rude people or respect.

Jen H.

Yelp
Love going to this cute coffee shop! They have several drinks that I enjoy there! Some of my regular favorites include the ginger chai and honey cardamom latte! I went there recently and they had a brown sugar oat milk latte, which might be my new favorite drink there! If you love Starbucks' brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk, you will love this drink! They have cute merchandise for sale including stickers and cards! Tip: join email list serve on their website and get 15% off your your first bag of coffee beans! Also they have a frequent flyer digital system so take advantage of that!

Mayu D.

Yelp
If you are looking for good bold flavor cappuccino or any coffee in downtown Kirkland, I recommend Zoka to you. They have not disappointed me since I started to come here more than 3 years ago. They also offer a free Wi-Fi, so it's convenient if you want to work or do some projects on your computer.

Andrew T.

Yelp
Really nice coffee spot with beautiful furniture and plenty of space to sit down and do work that if you specialty lattes and then your standard drinks. We also got the prosciutto and cheese croissant which was very good.

Paris F.

Yelp
It felt like I was in the silicon Valley California Cafe. Totally unfriendly cashier and batista. I would rather have the good old pacific northwest small friendly Kirkland than ok coffee with attitudes. I had the lavender latte and it was fine.

Jillian L.

Yelp
I love coming here because of the atmosphere. Their wood details with plants littered throughout the cafe make it super homey. Although, it is a bit loud because there's no carpets/rugs. I ordered a decaf iced latte and my friend got the Aztec Mocha. Both were served fast and tasted delicious. Their latte art is a nice touch and they're very friendly! They also have a nice selection of food & pastries to choose from on the counter.

Danielle N.

Yelp
Great spot for studying. High quality coffee and lots of plugs. Unfortunately not a lot of food, but pastries always look really good. Haven't tried one yet. Sometimes they run out of space, and parking is hard; sreet only and time limited. But convenient spot and great coffee shop.

Prag R.

Yelp
Great coffee spot to work and take a walk to the beach which is 2 blocks away. The place is well lit and has lots of plants- perfectly my kind of place to relax and drink my coffee. Got myself a Lavender latte and my partner got a cappuccino. The service was great, there was just one barista and the lines were super long today.

Aurora A.

Yelp
It's a very cute homey coffee shop. Big dining area , open space. Try the brown sugar oat milk , very tasty and not overly sweet. They have a lot of open dining space but if you want some fresh air they have three small tables outside. The pastries are super good and taste like they are homemade (probably are ) . It did look like only two people were working and the line got a bit long but it was worth the wait.

John T.

Yelp
Not the greatest experience today. They have a nice location in Central downtown Kirkland. But the prices are pretty high, over four dollars for an Americano. What is an Americano? Two shots of espresso and some hot water. And we were sitting outside the door on their flimsy tables and chairs. Made out of a very flimsy and uncomfortable metal. A dog came along and our dog jumped and knocked the table and the drink off the table. A decent table that wouldn't have happened. The store did not give us a drink. Instead they charged us full price for another drink. So arrogant, unaccommodating, there's other alternatives in the Seattle area.

Megan G.

Yelp
Started craving coffee on my morning walk but wasn't sure what to do since I had my dog. Decided to scroll through Yelp and saw a couple people mention they were able to bring their dogs in here so I took a chance. I went in and asked if it was okay if I brought her in while I ordered and they said it was absolutely no problem at all. It's so great to find a spot I can bring my dog in since I normally want coffee while I'm walking her first thing in the morning! Most coffee shops obviously don't allow dogs so this is a nice treat. The coffee is also really delicious. I got a breakfast sandwich too and it was great. I was there at about 7:45 am on a Friday morning and it was already pretty busy with people working and visiting. Fun spot and I will definitely be back.

Annie Z.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee shop in downtown Kirkland. Their specialty lattes are delicious! I've also tried their matcha latte which is good but not as good as the latte. I'd recommend trying their coffee creations :)

Alice L.

Yelp
My friend and I ordered a Morning Glory Latte and an Oat Milk Latte, respectively. We really enjoyed our drinks. The space inside has many seating options and open spaces, even enough for you to bring a furry friend. There is 6 feet between spaces, so that's nice. Beans are roasted here, and you can get 15% off your first 12 oz bag by signing up fro the email list. There's also Zoka thermos and honey. They have happy hour from 2 pm to close with 50% off bakery items. Great place to get some work done :)

Anjela L.

Yelp
The decorations are very pretty and the atmosphere is great however the drinks are another story. I got the iced matcha with Oatmilk and it tasted bland and had chunks of matcha in it making the drink bitter. I love my matcha with either white chocolate or mint and they couldn't do either which was a little disappointing and the drink itself tasted like a watery version of matcha.

Damkee ..

Yelp
Great tasting coffee & well lit space at the center of Kirkland downtown. I appreciated how the latte here has a bolder taste.

Jinah Y.

Yelp
Great coffee and vibe. You can bring well behaved dogs inside to hang out while you sip. Lots of seating options and friendly staff.

Nishad K.

Yelp
I would say 4 star for coffee but not all the time (SOMETIMES...it would be a 3 but never too bad) I live close by and visit this cafe a lottt Favorites are honey cardomom latte The consistency varies. I get a honey cardomom latte and aztec mocha a lot Sometimes I end up getting lavender latte. So depending on milk added sometimes the coffee would get 3 star from me instead of 4 My only complaint (and i know service industry is facing issues) - they closee way too early on sundays and promptly at their closing time (sometimes 15 minutes before that)

New G.

Yelp
The best mocha I have ever had hands down. Smooth, not overly sweet and perfectly balanced. Super happy we stopped by. We will 10/10 be back!

Fazil A.

Yelp
Really wanted to try the honey cardamom thingy but didn't have the balls to. Instead I went for a typical vanilla latte with half and half. I was slightly disappointed. It was ok but not amazing. To me it the flavors all clashed to combine and balance into a flavor of absolutely nothing. I mean it could have been warm almond milk if I didn't know any better. I'm wondering with all the hype if there's something more exotic on the menu that I should have ordered. I guess I'll never know.

Trang Nam L.

Yelp
Service is so so. Coffee and chai tea are so bland. I doubt they added too little coffee and tea for my orders. I felt like I was drinking water. Except for the location, nothing is recommended in this coffee shop.

Christine S.

Yelp
I wanted to support a local coffee shop during these times before my appt and found this little corner spot. They have a selection of pastries and an array of coffee and tea beverages. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great!

Nabiha W.

Yelp
Definitely a good place for working, chilling and hanging out! It's cute and a decent option for a quick mocha or any beverage. The downside which is why I gave a 4 star is that not every seating area has a plug for charging which makes it less of my default option for going to work or just hangout for fun with my laptop. I wish they could improve that more. For the pandemic it's also a bit crowded where there are charging stations for too many people if they're all working at the same time. I wish there was just a bit more ease with all of that. Nevertheless, if you're by Kirkland Waterfront, do try them!

Wesley P.

Yelp
Paid too much and waited too long for a pour over that was sour and had little to no flavor.

Catherine Y.

Yelp
tldr: cool, creative drinks, but lattes and americanos are a bit watery Food: N/A Drinks: 4/5 Vibes: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Covid: 5/5 Must-Orders: chai oat latte. Zoka is one of the cutest coffee shops around in Kirkland. The interior is bright, spotless, and friendly. Before Covid restrictions, it was a beautiful day to study and enjoy a cup of coffee. That being said, compared to all of the americanos/lattes/espresso drinks I've had in general, theirs do seem to be a bit on the watery side (especially if you order with almond milk, as I often do). However, the service is speedy and the baristas are friendly, and their holiday selection of drinks (pumpkin pie oh my) and other creative drinks (lavender mocha) make this place worth a visit!

Scott T.

Yelp
If you are heading to Starbucks...turn around and go to Zoka. Fresh espresso, great tasting breakfast pastries and good breakfast sandwiches.
