Zoq Cuisine - Review - Kirkland - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Kirkland restaurant with deep blue walls and chandeliers specializes in Indo-Pakistani dishes, including lakshmi chowk karahi, nawabi korma, and tons of chutneys. There’s also a “Pakinese” section on the menu that features their take on things like hot and sour soup and egg fried rice." - Kayla Sager-Riley

This hands down is the best Pakistani / Halal food i have tried here in States! The food couldn’t get more authentic, absolutely delicious. Words won’t do justice so anyone looking to try some authentic Pakistani cuisine, give this place a try and you will not be disappointed. The ambiance is super, warm and welcoming! The owners are great, really friendly and made sure that services provided were top notch! It has not been a month yet since they opened and i already been there twice, all the way from Tacoma! Highly recommended and will sure go back.

We were excited to see a Pakistani restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was ok (not bad, not good). The service was a bit subpar, even though they were really busy. The presentation of the food is excellent, but there is not enough space on the table. The staff don’t seem to be trained on pronouncing the dishes, but we were able to point them out. The food took about an hour (even tho they said 20mins). The appetizers and food all came together - pakoray are an easy appetizer and would have expected them to come out first. What did we try? Pakoray: the pakoray were excellent, and the paneer pakoray were just ok. Gawalmandi machhli: this was excellent! Highly recommend the fish - it’s listed as an appetizer but order it as a main dish. Tawa chicken: this was a big miss! The masala didn’t seem well cooked and there was too much masala. Tawa chicken is supposed to have a simple basic spice marinade. Shinwari karahi: this was ok - not amazing but definitely worth trying. Chapli kabab: this was also just ok. It had a hint of chapli kabab taste, though would recommend these to be made in lab. Only 2 kababs for $23 so quite pricey. Bihari kabab: these were also just ok, but in Seattle there isn’t a place for bihari kababs and so this is your best option. Overall, a good place to sit. The food was ok/above average by Seattle standard but nothing memorable. It’s a good place for a gathering or hosting someone, but not sure we’ll be back just to eat for ourselves. Still glad to see a Pakistani restaurant on the block!

From the moment I walked into Zoq Restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, with a perfect blend of modern decor and cozy warmth. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself, the atmosphere sets the stage for an incredible meal. The food was absolutely exceptional every dish was crafted with care, showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients and bold, balanced flavors. The paya, pulao and Makhan malai boti were delicious not to mention the Lakshmi Chowk Karai was a revelation, and the halwa was the perfect sweet ending. The menu offers authentic Pakistani delicious dishes, making it a delight for food lovers. What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. They went above and beyond to accommodate dietary preferences and offered excellent wine pairings. Zoe Restaurant is a must-visit gem whether for a romantic dinner, a gathering with friends, or a solo indulgence. I can’t wait to return! 10/10 recommend.

Went there today for team lunch and had the best food in town. Loved the place and owner was very welcoming. Food was great and I cannot wait to go back with my family.

The most menu options ever seen, especially for a Pakistani restaurant. My wife went for a benchmark dish not on the menu - in an authentic Halwa Puri. I experimented with the Pakinese (Pakistani-Chinese) fried rice with chicken. Both were delicious. A classy and cosy place to spend time; family run. My favorite Pakistani restaurant.

I was super excited to come across a Pakistani place with names that felt extremely similar to home and the nostalgia kicked in hard. We over ordered for two people so we could try more than 1 thing and I was kind of underwhelmed with the whole experience. The food is decent at best and pretty overpriced for what is served. Gol Gappay - The ratio of puris to pani served is extremely off, almost every table had more than half that glass leftover, which I’m assuming is thrown every time. The pani itself was pretty sweet I felt, with extra sweet chutney, which I think could be tangier. Paneer Karahi - Being a vegetarian, this was something I was most excited about. The half serving at $34.99 already felt overpriced but the what came of the dish, it felt undeserving. The masala was pretty raw and it felt more like a bunch of paneer cubes stir fried with raw onions, what seemed like canned tomatoes as they were so hard and peppers instead of a good cooked karahi what it should have been. Lahori Channey - Definitely the best thing we ordered which lived up to its name and taste. Naans - Roghni naan is different than the iconic one from back home but was a decent pass, garlic naan was as great as it could be. Would I come back? Probably for the channey only. It was a decent stop if you’re in the neighborhood but I probably wouldn’t drive around for as you aren’t missing out on much. At $80 for two vegetarian mains and an appetizer at a desi spot, I think the place can do better.

It was just the authentic Pakistani food experience we had been looking for! We came in as a group of 7 and tried the Lahori naashta, nihari, paya, and lakshmi karahi - all of them were amazing. We specifically loved the Lahori naashta and paya. The food serving size is also pretty good - each dish can be shared by two people easily. The service was also great, everyone was very hospitable and sweet. Can’t wait to come here again 🤩
