Zoubi Restaurant & Bar

A perfect dining experience! The staff were friendly and engaging . The food was excellent. Our only regrets was that we were too full for dessert and that we did not dine during warmer weather when we could enjoy their inviting outdoor space. A fair review requires me to warn a prospective diner that the parking situation around the restaurant is challenging at best. If you're not staying within walking distance, have a plan and build a lot of time in your travel to find a spot and walk to the restaurant. We ended up arriving almost 20 minutes late for our reservation despite planning on 15 minutes to find parking. On the plus side, the restaurant was extremely understanding and honored our reservation. Seems such is part of life in New Hope.

Go for the atmosphere- at the expensive side, but good for special occasions.. or more like a romantic dinner! Amazing vibe.. interiors make you feel like you are in a tropical area! Key west or Miami vibe!! Food is good. I am vegetarian, they customized the entree for me! Loved it! Servers are nice. They look after you! I really like it!! Nice drinks options! Get well dressed, and feel the vibe! Can find a table on OpenTable and book it from there!! Difficult to find a parking on busy Saturday nights… but you will find in 5 mins walks area..

I came to New Hope for the first time during Memorial Day Weekend and I was so lucky to came across this place to have the best dinner during my trip. We had burrata as appetizer and it was delicioussss!! Form main entrance we ordered Short Ribs with Risotto that’s was out of this world! Also we had the grilled octopus (it’s an appetizer but I wasn’t that hungry to get a main entrance) and it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, good size, love it!!! The service was very attentive and the place is so so gorgeous!! 100% for a romantic dinner! Thanks, I’m definitely coming back!

This is our second time dining at Zoubi. We fell in love the unique decor, exciting food and the attentive, knowledgeable staff so returning to celebrate my wife’s birthday was a no-brainer. We started with cocktails, which I strongly recommend, but forwent having a bottle of wine to leave room for food. For starters we shared the cheese board which was just as wonderful as we remembered. I love that it is served with toasted, crusty bread, but as before I filled up on bread leaving little room for our main course. I highly recommend this, but don’t be like me; eat less bread! For a main course my wife ordered the scallops which she really enjoyed. I had the lamb chops which were nicely executed. Frankly, I’m not a big lamb chop guy, but my wife loves them. So I ordered them so she could have a “surf and turf”. For me, the lamb ragout that the chops are served on is the star of the dish. Once again we were too stuffed for desert, but frankly I wasn’t disappointed because the desert options looked a bit pedestrian. A true selection of French pastries would be a big hit here (hint, hint). Overall an expensive meal, but well worth it.

Food (5/5): The fresh bread and truffle butter was some of the best bread and butter I've ever had. Additionally, the cheese board was the best cheeseboard I've ever had. My husband ordered the crusted tuna and I ordered the steak. I did not like the flavoring of the steak and didn't eat most of it as it was served medium rare and I ordered it medium well. The fries that came with the steak were some of the best fries I've ever had. Service (3/5): Our waitress was quick and direct but did not appear friendly nor did she ask us questions about what we wanted. When I asked her questions about drinks she seemed annoyed. Toward the end, the service was slow and she rarely checked on us. We had to ask for the check. The staff responsible to pack up our leftovers never brought our food back. Atmosphere (3/5): It is not a large place, it's old and the air conditioning units are on the floor so my feet were freezing during the entire dinner. The art on the walls were not family friendly, as there was a (non-realistic) painting near our table with two women and their uncovered breasts. Lastly, we did not like the choice of music.

This restaurant and all of their warm, helpful staff, is phenomenal! I have two immune disorders and my husband and I dined there last night for my birthday and Alexis and all of her staff including our waiter were so very kind and accommodating! When I called beforehand to discuss our reservation she was so great about making sure we could eat outside in their absolutely romantic and gorgeous courtyard and she herself made sure we had a working heat lamp. Our drinks were great! Then came homemade rosemary bread with butter and truffle oil sun-dried tomatoes that was baked deliciously and served warm and we could have actually asked for more, and wow the sun-dried tomato spread was tasty! Everything was prepared to perfection with the most delectable sauces you wanted to lap up with the wonderful bread provided. The shrimp appetizer was grilled nicely and this restaurant has really stellar seafood and what appealed to us and we were not disappointed! I then chose for my main the tuna poke bowl with a slight substitution on the watercress for greens. I was assured it was a large enough portion to eat as a main. It actually was large enough I took a portion home but some might eat the entire thing and I had to force myself to stop eating when full it was so delicious! I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this dish! It was the best poke bowl I have enjoyed in my life and I have had many especially sharing and often tasting my daughters through travels many places. The tuna was prepared perfectly and once again the sauce had a toasted nuttiness with I think some sesame topping and it was just sooo yummy! My husband ordered the summer flounder and it too was really nice quality and soft, buttery, melt in your mouth seafood served on a bed of scrumptious whipped potatoes with a sauce I kept lapping up the bits he missed with my bread. Veggies were cooked perfectly. For dessert I chose the flourless chocolate torte which was brought to me with a sparkler atop as my sole bday cake this year which really really made the occasion special for me besides the escape-like romantic courtyard atmosphere! Lastly when the bill was presented two fantastic macarons were included with it. My daughters and I love high quality well baked homemade baked goods and have tried macarons from even supposedly good bakeries and always thought many times they were too dry with not enough flavor. These were different…pillowy and soft and quite flavorful! A nice palate-cleansing surprise finish to just a wonderful and complete meal! We both agreed the meal was perfect! We cannot recommend this restaurant and their kind and helpful staff enough!

I HIGHLY recommend having dinner here! You will not be disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, the ambience is super cozy and the staff is very personable! Can’t wait to return!

It was a year ago, almost to the day, that we had dinner here and were glad to see that it was as good this time around as last. We again ate inside because of the humidity but both inside and out are beautiful. The Tuna Poke appetizer was not only large but fantastic with what seemed to be almost a quarter to a half pound of excellent tuna. The Baked Oysters with garlic Parmesan were good but slightly overpowered by the cheese. The Chilean Sea Bass with cauliflower purée, butter mustard vinaigrette and Hazelnut Cream was delicious. The Special Seafood dish was a North Atlantic Cod in a white wine butter sauce with olives, capers, artichokes and Feta. Mind-blowing!! For dessert we shared a delicious Crème Brûlée All the servers were attentive and we had fun talking to them. A beautiful place to check out.

Hands down the most romantic dinner I've ever had. We were there on July 4th to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The service was fantastic, location and atmosphere was beautiful and romantic and the food perfectly prepared.

Does not get much better than this! Alix and the staff were amazing. Second time back and service, decor, food, ambience cannot be topped. You can check out my first review with all the details. This is a perfect restaurant for any occasion. All I can say is make a reservation well in advance, try and you will not be disappointed. Once you come here, you may not want to go anywhere else.

So it seems like 7-8 months ago something happened with a change in management- do not let that deter you from going. Zoubi is superb. Whatever issue they had has been all worked out. Everything from the food, to drinks, service and ambience was outstanding. Truly, what a special restaurant. We had the kale Caesar, roasted beets, shrimp with anchovy butter, seared tuna and short rib- one thing was better than the next. Often when we've gone to a restaurant that has incredible detail to presentation- you get a tiny meal and leave hungry. The portions here are filling- my biggest gripe was that I was so full I didn't have room for dessert because I know it would have been outstanding like everything else we had. Zoubi is a must if you're in the New Hope area looking for an exceptional meal.

So good that we canceled reservations at another highly recommended restaurant just to eat here twice on our last trip! Smoked oysters, beat salad, soft shell crab special, short ribs, scallops, seared tuna... all very special. Can't miss romantic dinner spot for your next trip to New Hope!

The experience was wonderful. The food tasted better than it looked which is high praise. Even the finger bowl looked cool. It was a very enjoyable evening and I would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

Rich the bartender and rachel and manager are top notch ! Place is a vibe. Workers are a vibe and very professional. Best place in new hope hands down.

In every single way, this was a 5 star experience start to finish. I'll take it a step farther and say this was one of the top five meals I've had in my entire life. Let's start with the space itself- it's honestly just beautiful and incredibly unique. Relaxing but not stuffy and still extremely classy all at once. Our server was amazing - I wish I remembered her name but just down to Earth, super attentive, and just seemed like a person my wife and I would mesh with even if she wasn't on the clock. The food- good lord that rosemary bread is incredible. Short rib and scallop pasta - one of the most unique and flavorful dishes I've ever experienced. My wife loved her steak. Creme brulee was excellent and the carrot cake was even better. I will definitely go back. I'd drive 80 minutes each way from south jersey just to do it honestly. Don't walk here - run..

Zoubi is a must if you're in New Hope. The menu is elevated and different. The staff and surroundings are wonderful.

Zoubi is the type of restaurant you always dream of lucking into when you're exploring a town with the slightly dubious new age tourista reputation of New Hope. We've been here a few times and have never been disappointed especially in warmer weather when the interior garden transforms into a Tuscan inspired sanctuary dripping with beautiful foliage and candlelight. The food is uniformly spectacular and inventive, leaving even the most jaded epicure more than impressed. . Zoubi is a destination treat everytime. Immerse yourself and enjoy.

Came here last night for a girls getaway weekend. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table when we had a reservation. Our waiter was EXTREMELY rude and inattentive. Our food took so long, we almost walked out. No one apologized, checked in or made us feel welcome. We will NOT be back and will NOT recommend this place.

This restaurant could be really great but the service was terrible. We were there for 3 hours, spent $400 and had cold food.

We had a 6:45 reservation and was not seated until 7:15 then realized that half the place was empty inside. We did not receive our dinner until after 8:30 after complaining about how disappointed we were with the service. My husband and I come here yearly for our anniversary and were given a "sparkler" as a something special. Very upset with our entire experience this evening.

Zoubi delivered an excellent dining experience. The beautiful patio on a balmy summer evening surrounded by creeping vines and flowers was reminiscent of being in Provence. We started with the baked oysters served with a charred lemon- I normally prefer raw oysters ( also available) but these cooked oysters were delicious. Each of the dishes from the appetizers- Octopus, Tabouli salad with anchovies and the signature Tuna Poke shared between four of us, were delicious. The mains highlighted by the famous crab cake with crawfish and andouille sausage ( to call this a crab cake is a gross under representation which at $65 it should be!) was exceptional as were the sesame crusted Tuna and Sea Bass. We picked a white premier cru Burgundy which while still too young was already sublime and Zoubi's stems were very elegant, something found all too rarely in restaurants these days. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. Superb service all around. Strongly recommended for a special occasion.

The bar, the setting, the food, the service are by far the Best in Bucks. I dare you to go there and prove me wrong.

We made reservations well in advance, and couldn't have predicted the heat wave that coincided with our reservation! We were offered indoor or outdoor seating - and also assured we'd have a fan that helped break the heat index of 100F+ ! We were graciously greeted and seated - service was attentive but not smothering. My better half had the house salad, grilled octopus for myself - delicious! She had the crab cake, the swordfish for me - we were both very happy with the presentation, flavors and temperature all perfect! All in all a perfect experience, despite the heat wave - the fan kept us comfortable and saved our day! Thank you to all at Zoubi for making this a perfect evening!

Where is Laurent and his servers? It was not the same without them there! The server we had was very nice, but didn't have the charm that Laurent gave. Missed a few things on the menu as well.

Fantastic food, wine and service! Absolutely love this place. It's one of our favorite in New Hope / surrounding area.

What happened to this once great spot. What a disappointment. Now that Laurent is gone it's on a huge downhill slide. No longer a special spot. 45 minutes between finishing appetizers before cold main course arrived. Better off eating at the burger joint next door. Same owner.

Wow! What a great spot. This place is a hidden gem in New Hope. It's located on a less busy street and parking is not available on the street outside Zoubi . However a quick 2 minute walk to the municipal building there is ample parking that you can pay via ParkMobile. Laurent greatest us and seated us on the patio. He checked out through our dining experience. Mark our waiter was attentive and assured by other restaurant staff. Really great service! This place is mostly outside but under cover. From the photos I have posted you can tell it is a great setting to dine outdoors! The garden dining adds to the charm of Zoubi for certain. The food was delicious and well plated. The timing of food was on point. I enjoyed the Beet Street cocktail (bourbon and beet juice with lemon and thyme). The grilled octopus and Tuna were very good. The peanut butter desert was a great finish! We will be back to enjoy Zoubi again!

What a magical looking place! Love the decor! We started our dinner with appetizers; shrimp and raw oysters. Then enjoyed the scallop noodles with short ribs and seared ahi tuna. Both dinners were amazing! Finished our dinner with Key lime pie. If you're looking for a charming experience, whether to celebrate a special occasion or just to treat yourself, I highly recommend you give Zoubi a try!

Hubby and I reserved a special romantic private corner spot for our anniversary dinner. It was so elegant and whimsical in the outdoor patio area - sheer curtains, candles in the old stone walls, plants. The service was top notch and they gave great recommendations for wine and meals. The short rib with scallop noodles was amazing. Hubby had the ahi tuna. Would definitely come back here for a nice dinner.

This place blew our socks off... from the stone entry and eclectic frescos to the ethereal ceiling and candelabra at each and every table along the attention to detail at every turn, we felt assured we were in for a unique culinary experience. And the food matched the first impression. The tuna poke bowl appetizer was fresh, the flavors were spot on and diverse, and the mix of vegetables was complimentary. The cod special was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside with a unique Mexican flair, and the presentation was exquisite. Service was attentive, professional, and personable. What a gem!

We were lucky enough to get a reservation on the same day (from a cancellation thank you), but from the moment we arrived in the moment we left, we had such attention from the staff. The menu didn't disappoint and the specials were extraordinary. Go there with an open mind and open stomach because you're going to be in for one amazing Gastro journey.

Amazing New French-style restaurant in a chic setting. We took our friends here for their anniversary and the experience was fantastic. We started with grilled octopus, oysters and shrimp. All three were perfectly prepared with the octopus being our favorite - prepared Spanish style with chorizo and potato. I opted for the grilled pork chop which I'm fairly certain was sous vide'd first. It came out a perfect medium as requested and was topped with a rich demi glaze. We paired this with a wonderful French Pinot which paired with my dish and the other entrees. As we had the chef/owner as our server the service was perfect as he was highly engaging and friendly. Recommended.

Zoubi one of my top food recommendations for dining in the New Hope area. This local has tons of appeal with a beautiful outdoor garden and charming decor inside. They offer amazing cocktails options and food is usually superb options of locally sourced items.

For years I have been wanting to try this restaurant and finally got the opportunity. I was very excited and the reviews were awesome. Maybe my expectations were just too high. It was good but I was not "wow'd" as I expected to be. First I tried to move my 5:30 reservation on "open table" to a later time but no availabilty to move it. Restaurant opens at 5pm which left no time to call to change therefore we kept the 5:30. Several tables had reserve signs on them but through our dinner only 4 tables occupied the entire time...2 tables turned over but that was it. I assumed they didn't have the staff and kept it managable. As others have mentioned, the atmosphere is awesome...and yes, that is a "wow" and fun feeling that you want to be part of. We were seated at a wooden table and within seconds I noticed several small bugs crawling on the table. I didn't want to complain so I mushed them. I was getting very distracted and not relaxed by these bugs. By the 6th bug I had to say something. Waiter told me "we are outside after all." Hmm...ok still we moved to a marble table and guess what...no more bugs the entire time. Plus, I noticed several more bugs as we stood up from that wooden table. Decisions, decisions...wine or martinis?? Tough choice. Went with martinis thinking we would have wine with main meal. The drinks were a generous pour and excellent even though mine needed more olive juice. Never got to the wine bc the martinis lasted through our dinner. My very dirty vodka martini was not dirty...waiter quickly brought a small carafe of olive juice...unfortunately a small spider or bug was in that carafe. At first we thought it may be a piece of olive and waiter didn't take it away but as I poured the olive juice into my drink it was clearly a bug. The bug stayed in the carafe as I poured and I can't believe I did this but, and I hate to complain, so I just drank my martini as if I didn't see it. The house vodka is very smooth btw. After a while I showed the waiter the bug and he just took the carafe away. The guys at the table nearby mentioned to us that the house salad was the best ever. We were fluctuating between a few salads but their recomendation was so convincing that we went with it. It was a generous portion however, we both wished we got the other salads...it really wasn't anything extra special. Everything on the menu sounded very good and I even checked out the yelp pictures before arriving. I picked the ahi tuna with soba noodles. My Daughter picked the salmon. The ahi tuna was stringy but good. I have had better. The salmon was the winner. Over the top delicious. A couple nice touches from the restaurant...two soft rolls with truffle butter and a olive tomatoe type dipping for our bread was brought out. Very tasty and good. Also 2 mini macaroons and sparkler for my Daughter's birthday completed our meal. So overall, I still recommend this unique and whimsical restaurant. We had a few mishaps but still I think most people would enjoy.

Perfect Date Night Spot. Like many have said before its a hidden gem but since you clicked here it means you've already found it. I feel very lucky to have discovered this adorable little restaurant. The ambiance is to die for. From the decor to the waitstaff down to the food which was exceptional, everything hits. If you're not comfortable being outside in nature than that's your problem. Everything was perfect. Felt like a VIP the entire time. This is special place and they're aren't many places like it. Hands down the most romantic date I've ever been on and we've been out plenty. I truly special little spot that I hope to frequent for years to come. Cheers!

We were greeted and shown to our table by the friendly host. We both love the atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant. Our waitress was equally friendly and discussed the menu with us - so many wonderful choices. We ordered a bottle of Albariño wine and started off with the grilled octopus appetizer - which was awesome. For dinner, Maria had the Salmon entree and I had a Red Snapper special - both dishes were superb. We will definitely be returning soon.

Small intimate dining room. A really nice outdoor space but it was too cold the night we were there. Food and service were excellent. We split a house salad and the grilled collosal shrimp. The shrimp were grilled with the shell on. A little messy but worth it. They provided a finger bowl. Perfectly seasoned with just enough sauce to dunk. For mains, I had short ribs and noodles and scallops. It was delicious. Hands down the best short ribs I have ever had! My husband tried the Chilean sea bass , also perfectly cooked. We split two desserts a key lime pie and a berry mouse. Both were very good. I will definitely return.

A New Hope, Pa favorite for exceptional dining. The candlelit courtyard is very romantic. Laurent is an amiable host and General Manager. The food is excellent and the desserts and French press coffee is tops! An easy stroll from our Wedgwood B&B Inn, I highly recommend.

Possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to. Atmosphere, service, food, drinks all 10/10 and not absurdly over priced for the area or vibe. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone trying to have a nice romantic night out

(I'm former service industry mgmt) Best food in New Hope and Bucks Co that I've had so far. Best owner/operator I've ever met. Highly recommend. Try not to light your hair on fire like I did.

Ambience is fancy, romantic, but relaxing. The service was impeccable! Servers were so attentive. The mezcal cocktail was really great. Not too sweet either. I asked if I could have jalapeño added to it and it really kicked it up. I went here for Mother's Day with my daughters and we had the octopus and oysters as appetizers. The octopus was so tender but I am still thanking about the stuffed oysters days later. I had the bronzino and loved it. The sauce was amazing and it was great with the mushrooms. My daughter got the duck which was cooked perfectly. A nice medium rare. And whine crème brûlée is something you can get a lot of places, this one was done really well. Perfect texture. I highly recommend.

My husband and I agree, hand downs, this was rhe best meal of our lives. We woke up dreaming about our meal!! The staff is so funny, sarcastic and entertaining, we just adored them. My only complaint is I don't live closer so I can go back more frequently!!!

Absolutely wonderful dining experience. The host was charming and the waitress were funny and very helpful with menu. The drinks were delicious and the food was perfect. Romantic hidden oasis on Mechanic Street in New Hope, PA located up the hill from Karlas and the Visitor's center. French food. Relax and enjoy the experience. It is nice to dress up and look beautiful and dine outside in this french romantic oasis.

How have I not gone here before? The welcoming attitude and atmosphere is awesome. Service is friendly and well informed. Quaint garden area is fun. Food rivals the best French restaurants. Extensive and affordable wine list. Plop this restaurant into Napa and they'll steal you from the French Laundry. I know, big claim. Try it. See what you think.

The funky, but cozy ambiance, the fabulous food, the wonderful people. These are the reasons we keep coming back. Zoubi's is what New Hope is all about. If you want to experience New Hope, experience Zoubi's. The big, grand, new, over-the-top restaurants and venues coming into New Hope are out of character and I have no desire to support them with my patronage.

We love the outdoor, quiet and intimate vibe of Zoubi! The food is always fresh and the service is always fabulous.
