Just when I thought this place couldn't get any better. Had reservations for an early dinner on a Sunday. We were promptly escorted to our table and greeted by an amazing waiter named Becky. She gave us a list of the specials for the day and the last item got my attention. It was cioppino. I live in a small town in central California close to Monterey and Santa Cruz and a 2 hour drive to SF. A big fan of seafood and crab cioppino. I ordered the cioppino and was served a seafood melody. Mind you it did not have dungeness crab that I'm used to. But it did have clams, mussels, large shrimp and pasta in an absolutely amazing broth. I savored every bite and served garlic bread to dunk in the amazing broth. High marks for this dish. It was probably one of the best cioppinos I ever had and that is saying alot. I did ask for the recipe for this amazing dish. The cooks were pretty busy but Becky did give me the basic ingredients for the homemade broth. Just about finished the whole bowl but I did have to save room for the wonderful tiramisou. It was a great evening and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Thanks again to our waiter Becky and the amazing cooks at Zozo's. I'll be back.

Really cute place with a ton of menu options. I had the eggplant Parmesan and it was great. The garlic bread though.. my gosh the garlic bread was SO insanely good. Addicting. Probably the best garlic bread I have ever had.

Google
Quite amazing and we’re so accommodating to my genuine food allergy, I was so happy because everything smelled so good. Definitely an establishment who cares, at from the many diners I’m sure they have a well established love in their neighborhood. Great atmosphere, great servers and I’m sentimental to the back of house for going out of their way to make me a basic linguini with capers and white wine butter sauce. Tasted just perfectly!!?

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Italian Restaurant Zozo in Reno, and it was an extraordinary culinary experience that I can't wait to share! First and foremost, the Lobster Ravioli was an absolute delight. The ravioli were perfectly cooked, generously filled with succulent lobster, and complemented by a rich and creamy sauce that elevated every bite to a new level of deliciousness. The Sautéed Shrimp Scampi was another standout dish. The shrimp were plump and juicy, cooked to perfection, and bathed in a garlic-butter sauce that was simply heavenly. The balance of flavors was impeccable, making this dish a true highlight of the evening. For seafood lovers, the Cioppino is a must-try. This hearty seafood stew was brimming with fresh clams, mussels, shrimp, and fish in a savory tomato broth. Each spoonful was a delightful burst of oceanic flavors, and it was clear that only the freshest ingredients were used. We started our meal with the Bruschetta with Toasted Focaccia, which set the tone for the evening. The crisp focaccia was topped with ripe, juicy tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction that tied all the flavors together beautifully. To cap off an amazing meal, we indulged in the Spumoni for dessert. This traditional Italian ice cream was the perfect blend of cherry, pistachio, and chocolate, creating a refreshing and sweet finale to our dinner. In addition to the outstanding food, the ambiance at Zozo is warm and inviting, and the service is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Moreover, Zozo boasts an impressive wine list that perfectly complements their menu. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just looking for the perfect pairing, you'll find a selection of exquisite wines that enhance the dining experience. Italian Restaurant Zozo is a gem in Reno, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Five stars!

Wow! First time eating here. The service was amazing. Thank you Justin for accommodating our late arrival. The music was awesome. The food was incredibly yummy. The chef added a special right before we ordered, which we had: chicken philly sandwich, with homemade chips. We also had the mushroom ravioli and the meatball sandwich. We will definitely be back.

Google
Two stars because the service was good as well as the garlic bread and salad. Unfortunately, the entree's were just not good. I ordered the chicken piccata and it came with a thick white sauce and hardly any capers. It had little to no flavor. I actually almost questioned if they gave me the right dish. My mom got the chicken Marsala and it was just okay. Overall, for the price, we left extremely disappointed.

Google
Was a busy night with a very large party in back room. They were honest about the possible delay of food from the kitchen; no problems. Cocktails were very good. Our waiter, Cody, took time to make recommendations and we had the appetizer special, minestrone soup & salad and Zozo’s chicken. Salads served on cold plates that were still cold after I finished. Pasta served with a spoon so I could get every last drop; and cooked a perfect Al dente. I found the service to be really good, especially considering how busy they were with a large party in the back we’ll be back…

Google
Did a last-minute reservation an hour before and got a spot for Valentine's Day. My fiancée and I had their 4 course special. Everything was so good, from the appetizers to the main dish (lamb). The strawberry New York cheesecake was a good compliment. We will definitely come back for their regular menu soon. They had excellent service as well.

Yelp
Okay okay okay, I can't believe I have not gone here! I've only gone to three Italian Restaurants and Olive Garden is one of them, don't even think Olive Garden is naturally a real one so I guess just two in town. But my oh my, Zozo Ristorante was insanely delicious, I told my husband to take me here next time we go on date (went with a family member here to grab dinner) and it's insane that my own husband went here a long time ago and mentioned it was good and we just never bothered to go. I've kept tabs where's the best calamari I've eaten and now this place is on my list for it. The calamari was breaded perfectly and the sauce for it was great for it because it was different. I ordered the dinner portion of the mushroom ravioli and added blackened chicken, let me tell ya that it was 10/10! It included with the choice of salad or soup and bread. The best mushroom ravioli I've ever had so far. For dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse, also a good shareable portion and it was delicious. The inside of this place gave me the nostalgia of the 80s/90s for some reason. It seems like they kept it the same to when they created this place, I love it. The service was also very friendly. Thankyou Zozo for making this such a yummy Italian experience, I will be back soon!

Yelp
A friend recommended we try this Italian spot out while in Reno and so glad we did. On Tuesday's you can bring your own borrow of wine with no corkage fee which is cool. Escargot was flavored well and the classic Moretti beer paired well with my steak. Will return here next time in town. The Cioppino could have had a little more sauce, but other than that it was great.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - #1 - How do I not have a Yelp review on this restaurant? Did we used to come here pre-Yelp life?!?! Has it been 4+ years since we have been here? #2 - Going to be a little generous with this review. Our past visits were never a wow, but they were also not bad. Anyways, we came with friends today and we all got the following: Two House Salads - As stated above, nothing special, but also not bad. Small quantity, which is fine with me as I am a light eater. One Cesar Salad - Our guest enjoyed this. Cup of Minestrone Soup - Again, just okay. Got 3 of the specials for our entrees: Cioppino - Decent quantity of seafood, but NOT enough linguine. I was originally going to get the linguine and clams which might have been a better choice...? Halibut Special - My wife's order and she said it was okay. She is also not a big white sauce person. Capellini Pomodoro - Good, and generous portions. Our guest brought half of her entree home. Special Chicken Pomodoro - Again, generous portions. Our guest brought half of his entree home. Dessert - Limoncello Tiramisu - This was really good. We should have ordered a second one... And to wash it all down, I got a glass of house Chianti. But I should have gotten the Banfi Chianti. My bad, I chose wrong, but I appreciate her telling me there were two options. Atmosphere - Double storefront. We seemed to always end up sitting in the second room. Again not good or bad, just coincidental. I liked that they had a bar in each room. Table, booth, or bar seating. Two unisex restrooms. Plenty of parking, most businesses here are closed Sundays. And weirdly we always seem to come on a Sunday, lol. See pictures for business hours. Service - Good. We had a leisurely 3 hour dinner, and never felt rushed. We were catching up with our good friends. Price - $185 + generous tip. The specials were a little expensive for what we got. But the regular menu items are reasonably priced. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1990 as Davos; we have been customers for a very long time. Glad we are back and bringing/introducing our friends to your restaurant. Mid 1990 - Coco Pazzo, then renamed to Panevino. 2000 - Zozo's.

Yelp
Wait staff was courteous and seem to enjoy serving you. Food was just as good as before. Noise was a bit loud but with the ceiling there, one can't help the noise. I love having fresh flower on the tables too.

Yelp
It was time to update my previous review, considering that I hadn't been in to visit since the new ownership took over and my old friend, the outstanding Chef Kevin Ashton, had moved on. I wasn't sure what to expect, but, they've continued the tradition of fine food, ambiance and service. We have a large choice of fine Italian food restaurants in the area and this continues to be near the top of the list. Everything was delicious...no change in the quality. The classic dishes that they're known for are still on the menu, with some new stuff added. I'll be a regular again now that I've experienced this new iteration... When you make a choice to enjoy fine Italian cuisine in the area, consider going here...it's well worth the visit and you'll be glad that you did!

Yelp
This is not a Italian Restaurant , bad dinner in good company... the quality of the food are poor and too expensive for the price NOt Italian Restaurant

Yelp
If you're looking for a casual Italian dining experience then you found it. We were seated right away when we came in and the servers were great. They were attentive and knowledgeable about their menu. We ordered Calamari for apps and even though it was good the serving size was not. My husband ordered their prime steak special and I order their zozos chicken pasta specialty. I thought my pasta was bland but the portion was very big and my husband enjoyed his prime steak. We ordered their smores dessert and it was freaking delicious. Still craving it! Expect to spend close to $200 if you want to order drinks with your meal. Overall, a great visit and will most likely come back!

Yelp
Love their meat lasagna! Tiramisu is delicious. Good value. Includes garlic bread and soup or salad. Very consistent. Kind servers.

Yelp
Food was tasty and rather Large Portions! Family oriented. Was busy on a Sunday evening. Fun night

Yelp
It had been awhile since eating at Zozos but our food was as good as I remember it to be. They have the best garlic bread than anywhere! The eggplant Parmesan was so yummy and the portion was very generous so I was able to ask for a to go container. The new owners have had it for 2 years and it's still a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
Love coming here, long time patron. Business has changed hands from the owners I knew and the new owners who are doing great. Still a great restaurant. Cool vibe on the inside and the food is excellent! Bottomless bread basket! Yum!

Yelp
A friend and I went for lunch today, we were the first ones in the restaurant. The waitress told us there were two soups available. A shrimp or a minestrone. We ordered two Caesar salads, two of the shrimp soups. We did receive the Caesar salads, and two minestrone soups. So, we told our waitress that we had ordered the other soup, I did NOT like the soup and there was ONE SHRIMP in it? REALLY. She did not charge us for the soup but so very disappointed. We shared the entree,Pomodora, with shrimp. We SPECIFICALLY asked that we would receive grilled shrimp, NOTHING BLACKENED. So we received a very spicy blackened pomodoro. So so dissatisfied and disappointed. I'm so sad that we were not heard. Won't be going there again soon.

Yelp
Zozo's use to be my favorite Italian in all of Reno. I'd go as often as I could. I moved to sparks and had not been there for many years. Tonight my husband and I had a date night and I insisted. I am so happy to say that it is still, after over 20 years, my favorite Italian restaurant. The ambiance is amazing, the staff is so friendly and the food is phenomenal. We shared the calamari. I had the chicken Parmesan with fettuccine instead of spaghetti. I also had a house salad. I can't forget about the amazing garlic bread. For dessert we shared the new Limoncello Tiramisu. My husband devoured it, it was a little too tart for my liking but it was light and fluffy and he loved it. I can't wait to go back again soon and have my favorite Zozo's chicken again.

Yelp
Shubie greeted us warmly on my wife's birthday December 4th 2024, and seated us in a very comfortable booth. He has been here at Zozo's for a very long time, and he is always SO nice. My wife had an exquisite chicken parmigiana with angelhair pasta and a delicate pesto sauce and topped with marinara. I had a fantastic eggplant parmesan and their delicious garlic bread. The minestrone soup was excellent, as was the salad with a creamy Italian dressing. Their house chianti was the perfect accompaniment to these wonderful entrees. Cody was a super waiter, attentive and friendly. Our only issue was NOT with Zozo's, but with a party of 6 that were unfortunately seated at the large booth between us and the wall. OMG, thank goodness we were almost done! You know how there's a thing called "inside voice" ? These individuals have never heard of that! My wife described them as using their "Stadium Voices "! Our ears were actually ringing when we left- it's a shame that some people are so inconsiderate of others. On a very positive note, Shubie and Cody were warm and welcoming, and should be commended for being perfect ambassadors for Zozo's Ristorante, truly one of the best restaurants in Reno.

Yelp
Just as amazing as ever! The new ownership has not made a negative impact on the business, in fact I would say if anything the food and ambiance has improved! Dinner was fabulous tonight. Not pictured is the bruschetta or the tiramisu because we devoured both before I could think to get a photo. We love it here!

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday last Friday and Zozo's has been a family fave for years. We made dinner rez for nine of us and we were seated in the main dining area. We started off with a couple of orders of polenta, which is a staple for us when we visit. Typically, the polenta is served with a mushroom sauce and herbs and is crumbly and delicious. This time, it was a little over cooked and dry, yet the flavor of the sauce was on point, although in a smaller serving size. The entrees were as expected. The special was grouper and it was delicious! Everyone else ordered chicken parm, assorted pasta dishes, and an order of short ribs. Dinner was wonderful as usual. We brought (3) bottles of wine in and the corkage fee is exceedingly reasonable. Our service was wonderful as always. I did notice that Judy wasn't present and also noticed that instead of playing Rat Pack melodies, they had a more modern playlist coming through the speakers. Upon further investigation, Judy and her husband sold last year and new owners have taken over. As of late; a dinner bill for nine can cause heart palpitations. Dinner for nine at Zozo's with the corkage is a truly wonderful value. Highly recommend, even though you may not hear Sinatra on the playlist anymore. ;-)

Yelp
Not sure why there were a lot of great reviews. We had a reservation and were seated 10 minutes after that time. The server seemed rushed, impatient and not really interested in answering questions. The website listed gluten free options but the menu showed ONE and it had things in the risotto that weren't good. The server spilled out water then just told us put a napkin over it. It's loud and cramped in there with it making it very hard to hear anything. Over priced and extremely underwhelming.

Yelp
Wow! The changes inside are incredible! More light, more open and the wall between the two dining room has been opened up with brick facade. Food still rocks the bells with a huge Polenta app drizzled with pine nuts, along with Tomato Caprese that is HUGE, could be split with 3-4 people. Garlic bread is still the top tier umami I dream of. FOH still has the OGs and a couple new faces. Everyone was pleasant, friendly and drinks were refilled like clockwork. More space in the front room hostess area and the bar seating has changed to room #2. Minestrone soup was excellent, wife's side salad had some special mini tomatoes mixed in. Cajun Pasta still rules all! Maybe a tad more garlic and white pepper? Still awesome. Best part was my favorite waiter, Cody. He has been there for years, works his ass off and has the hustle down pat. Drinks, apps, entrees even garlic bread arrive almost immediately after the BOH has them ready. Cody always peels off the specials, check in frequently, listens and is great for helping you try more things with suggestions. Just a great guy all around. Tip him 33%+ because he is the best! New owners, kudos! BOH extra Kudos while hosting a full house and the tickets lined up!

Yelp
Zozo's is my uncle and aunt's favorite local Italian eatery!! I love it too! But my dish with olives had a pit in it and that could have been a pricey dentist visit. Other than that, can't go wrong with the linguini clams and the specials. See photos for reference. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She seemed like she really loves her job. The ambiance is most dim, going for that romantic setting. Overall, a wonderful experience and such a treat!

Yelp
Decided to take a recommendation from one of my patients and don't regret it! We came here for the first time for a little family holiday dinner and although it was weekday evening, they were busy so I was glad we made a reservation. And despite the bustle, our waiter was exceptional- checked in on us often and was very warm and welcoming! Food was phenomenal - the garlic bread was soft and buttery. Portions were just right. I had the mushroom raviolis and although a tad salty, it was still really good. The space was a bit tight so you sit pretty intimately to other tables but nonetheless we will be coming back. Tucked in an unusual and older shopping centre, I'd consider this a hidden gem.

Yelp
We had been anticipating eating here for a long while. Sadly disappointed Service: A+ everyone in here is a career professional Bruschetta: had that awesome "cooked over a propane grill" flavor. We hardly touched it. Had hoped for fresh pasta but it was oddly chewy For $70 / 2 people will stick with la famiglia every time. Welp, now I know--skip it
google avatar

Katalina Q.

Yelp
A solid 5 star. Not crowded on a week day and service was attentive. I had the mushroom ravs and ate one. Not really the creamy mushroom sauce I was expecting, in fact, a faint scent of fish sauce?? Still, a comforting atmosphere and fancy enough to use black tablecloths. My friend had a cup of minestrone which she said was delicious. Other than the beef stock in the minestrone, it was all vegetables which she appreciated.

Jim M.

Yelp
Food was fantastic, the grilled eggplant delicious and service was perfect , we had a lovely dinner
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
One of the first restaurants we visited upon moving here. It's definitely smaller and more homey feeling but we really liked that for the atmosphere. Food was good and proportions were good for 1-2 people. A good local favorite that you should check out!

John H.

Yelp
Becky is my favorite server of all time. Best in show, very thoughtful and consistently good.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I picked the restaurant for a Frendii dinner. There was 4 of us, we all had something different and all loved our dishes. The service could have been a bit better and would not stop us from going again. Looking forward to taking the family.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
First time here. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. I tried their Cajun Pasta and it was delicious with garlic bread on the side. Wine list was very reasonable.
google avatar

Suzanne M.

Yelp
What a lovely celebration we had at Zozo's. Wine was flowing and sipped from large goblets. Garlic bread was free flowing. The croutons in the salads were buttery crisp. The Caesar salad had the right amount of dressing. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive. We had a good laugh at the server who provided grated cheese. She was a bit stingy and didn't give the option of us saying stop. We made light of it and had fun. The small store front is comfortable with two rooms. The front room is smaller than the back. We learned that the original owners sold about a year and a half ago. The music has changed to a more modern flare. No more Frank Sinatra, at least not the night we were there. The food is still consistently good. Always an enjoyable evening.
google avatar

Yelp
We have gone to Zozos for years, every time we would come to Reno. Tonight's dinner was such a disappointment my husband's seafood linguine had watery sauce and my Zozos scallopini was such a disappointment. The veal was excellent but the sauce had a burnt taste and thick, vegetables were steamed but had bell peppers or pimento. My Margarita was huge but very watery and tasteless. The only thing I enjoyed was my house salad with raspberry vinegarite. The service was good but It missed the warm family atmosphere
google avatar

Mary F.

Yelp
My daughter and I have started a new tradition of visiting Italian restaurants. It has been over a decade since I've been to Zozo's. It's always had a very good reputation as a local Italian restaurant. I absolutely love the small intimate atmosphere that long-standing local restaurant should have the service and food were both excellent. From the salad to the garlic bread to the main entrée, we were very pleased with our choices and our night out together! This is an absolute must visit great for the family great for a date!
google avatar

S J.

Yelp
We truly enjoy the food, service and ambiance there. Our friends and visiting guests have had the opportunity to experience the quality, culture and customization of our needs. Highly recommended! There's even special desserts!

Yelp
Reservations, reservations, reservations, make sure you have a reservation. Zozo's has been around for a long time. They have some great food. My favorite is the Piccata with grilled prawns and it's very hard for me to try something else. However, I've always been curious about their Pomodoro Special with prawns and last night with the knowledge that, I'd be coming back in a couple weeks. I ordered it. The Pomodoro is good. I enjoyed it but, I did wish, I had ordered the Piccata. My friend had ordered the tortellini with pesto and it was delicious. My husband ordered risotto, it was delicious also. I have heard the lasagna is fabulous also, however, I've never had it. Their desserts are divine and I struggle to choose which one I want every single time. Chocolate mousse, traditional tiramisu or the cannoli you can't go wrong. If you love lemon, the Limoncello tiramisu is delightful. Zozo's food has never disappointed me. I hope, I haven't just jinxed it. However, when I have come in without a reservation, the guy at the door has been absolutely rude. Do yourself a favor, make the reservation.

Laurie B.

Yelp
Weed, it's ozo's night. We ordered Lasagna and it was terrible. I'm full-blooded attacking the name real fussy. But it was terrible. I would not recommend you going to zozo's. To eat anything we told demand journalists with. Thank you for your review. It was just uh, yeah, thank you for your feedback. It was just terrible. So I advise you to save your money. Go across the street that Johnny's sister of store or vote at Johnny's restaurant. Joe and Laurie

James T.

Yelp
Shout out to Shubi, who gave great service to our unconventional party of nine and provided us with the best Italian food in Reno!

Asher R.

Yelp
It was fine, the food took forever to make. I will give it to them that there was a party but i took a bit too long with that. The desert was also super bitter.

Suzette P.

Yelp
What a gem! Zozo's may be small, but it's cozy and welcoming. The Italian food is absolutely delicious--especially the garlic bread, which is a must-try! The service is friendly and attentive. Due to the limited space, making a reservation is advisable.

Yelp
If you're looking for an intimate, upscale Italian restaurant in Reno, this is the place to go. They are open limited hours and limited days but it is worth waiting for. I recommend making a reservation as there are only a few tables and they have a couple hours for lunch and a couple hours for dinner that they are actually open. I believe they're also closed on Sunday, Mondays. Another good thing to note is Tuesday is free corkage night. I have frequented this restaurant for 30 years under the previous owners who sold in January, Sidney and Judy. My favorite dish has always been Zozo's chicken and this was the first evening when I did not order it. They had a cioppino special which I needed to try and it did not disappoint. My favorite seafood were the shrimp. To start, we enjoyed a polenta and sausage appetizer. The polenta was like air it was so fluffy. It included spicy and mild sausage which was a nice twist for those of us who don't enjoy too much heat. We each ordered a glass of wine and the $7 glass was about equal to two orders in any other restaurant. And it was very good, meaning the house wines. For dinner we ordered the aforementioned cioppino and the spaghetti bolognese. The cioppino is more than enough for the two of us because we had enjoyed garlic bread and a salad and minestrone soup also after our appetizer. We ended up taking most of the spaghetti home and some of the polenta and sausage but we definitely finished the cioppino. It was a little spicy but very, very flavorful. For dessert we could not pass on the limoncello tiramisu and the pistachio ice cream. Again we took most of the tiramisu with us but finished the ice cream. The service was excellent. The place was packed and all the tables were full. Our waiter, Brendon, was very, very sweet and attentive. He gave us a full rundown on the menu and the specials of the night and checked in on us continuously even though he was very busy. The menu seemed pretty much the same as the past 30 years, maybe with a couple extra dishes but the food was still as excellent as I remembered. I will definitely be going back. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants in town and it remains in that category.

Yelp
Has gone down hill, do not waste your money or time here. Careless food, careless service. Horribly loud environment in a run down strip mall.
google avatar

Kiara G.

Yelp
My boyfriend told me this was one of his favorite spots and surprised me with a date night here. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. We started with calamari and a beautiful green sauce. I'll only say they were my favorite because they were ALLLL the whole squids and something about those little legs don't sit right with me. The garlic bread was something of perfection. Buttery and thin. I got the bow tie carbonara with no tomato's and no artichoke hearts. When I tell you this is the best dish I've ever had, I'm not lying. It was rich, but not so rich I couldn't stuff myself. The pancetta was cut so thick, and the peas popped so pleasantly. My boyfriend got the Veal Saltimbocca. I took and bite and it wasn't something I'd order, but according to him, it was top notch! We finished with the tiramisu and I'm not sure I've ever had quality tiramisu until now. This piece was so large and flavorful. I brought it home and finished it once we got in the door. The server was okay, nothing special to mention. And make sure you make a reservation (at least on a Friday) unless you want to wait. Prices were to be expected for the vibe, food and all around experience.

Yelp
Perfect place to start a date night. We started with calamari and they were so crispy and full little baby guys, not rings. Can't wait to come back

Yelp
Very good food, excellent staff and service. Great cioppino and lasagna. Had the halibut special and it was amazing as well.

Yelp
Food poisoning and a cockroach in the menu and when I showed the waiter he just said "oh god" and took it and that was it ..just pretended like nothing happened. Where do I even begin the insanely overpriced nasty cioppino had a bunch of filler pasta. I've never in my life seen a cioppino with pasta. The specials were overpriced and disgusting curdled cream sauces over bad pasta. In case the general public isn't aware if you're paying upwards of $48 for a bowl of pasta, it should be handmade semolina water and egg not a box of dried pasta. The nerve to serve that at the price then to say it's an extra 5$ to turn a garden salad into a Cesar salad. The only Thing upscale here is the price tag. I went to use the restroom and witnessed a staff member using the trash can as a work surface. They had set the sheet pan across the garbage can and was scooping up roasted nuts... I would love to just take a peek inside the refrigerator. Hey zozos reach out to me if you want some help no joke I say this with all sincerity and I hope you are not intentionally ripping people off and getting them sick 3 in my party are up late with stomach pain and 1 vomited ... do better

Yelp
We sat down and were handed our menus when a LIVE COCKROACH ran out of the menu and across our table. They really need to keep an eye on cleanliness.

Yelp
The service and ambiance were great. A little loud but the restaurant is small. The food was good but not great. The food temperature was lukewarm but the flavor was good. I'd definitely give it

Yelp
I never would have seen this place if my brother hadn't invited me for a birthday lunch. I ordered the bruschetta. This style was new to me, a plate of tomatoes dowsed in vinegarette topped with blue cheese and basil. The toasty bread was amazing and making my mouth water as I write this. The corn chowder was very flavorful and did not disappoint. My friend ordered a meatball sub and was very pleased with that. My brother ordered a salad which he devoured and it looked so fresh and yummy. Overall, this was a welcoming, quiet setting and very comfortable. Our host was beautiful and very attentive to drinks and even brought us an amazing brownie dessert (I highly suggest this if you have a sweet tooth). I learned she is the owner. I hope to go back (I live in California)

Yelp
Great ambiance, service, and food! I got the bow tie carbonara and my friend got the lobster ravioli. Both dishes were incredible! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I have been craving Italian food and remembered Zozo's to always be a great place to get good Italian food. There's not a lot of restaurants open during lunch, they are. So today I wanted to try their lunch menu, which is limited compared to their dinner menu. I was immediately meant by the server/hostess who directed me to the small booth and took my drink order. He returned with my drink, and a basket of garlic bread, The thing I have been craving was lasagna and luckily for me you can pick some items from the dinner menu for lunch upon request. Zero's is located at the corner of Lakeside and Moana, there is ample parking. Upon entering, it is the old Italian ambience with booth and low tables. With my meal came soup or salad, I chose the soup of the day, Clam Chowder, it was very good, fresh ingredients. The Lasagna, it was good but not as good as I've had before, this is one of the reasons for the four stars. The other is there was only one server, he was doing it all and unfortunately service was slowed. This would've been ok for dinner but lunch needs to be a little faster due to limited time. I would recommend this place for lunch, just understand it might be a long lunch.

Yelp
From the atmosphere, the service to the food. Everything was stupendous! My husband and I in Reno for Mother's Day/Anniversary and was looking for an Italian Restaurant. This was a great find! It was so good I would drive up from Sacramento just to eat here again. My husband had the Ribeye and I the Halibut; both cooked to perfection. We won't talk about the homemade cheesecake with peach compote; amazing.

Yelp
Decided to celebrate our anniversary at Zozo's. We were of course, not disappointed. First thing you notice is the friendly staff almost like dining in someone's home. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which is tasty and not greasy. It's breaded only in flour and flash fried to a crispy goodness, served with A basil aïoli and lemons. We had crispy salads with ranch dressing. And of course, their hot and buttery garlic bread that's included with your dinner. For entrées, the hubs ordered their lasagna and I had the Cajun pasta. The Cajun pasta is Chicken, shrimp, andouille, scallions, mushrooms, red peppers tossed with penne pasta in cajun cream. Absolutely delightful and not too spicy. Rave reviews for the lasagna too. As we were too full and actually took half our dinners home we order dessert to go. The crème brûlée and a chocolate mousse. Both were wonderful after about two hours of letting our dinner settle. 5+ star event for Zoo's, as always. The service is impeccable with attention to every detail. There's always plenty of parking as well.
