Superb. We live in the mountains and don't get to enjoy city life as often as we'd like, so when we eat out, we want to do it in places that are worth our time. We found ourselves in Louisville, settling Zucca thanks to a quick Google search showing the outdoor seating we needed to accommodate our dog. We were shown to a table with some shade and someone brought it a bowl of water for the dog, along with some menus. The server introduced themselves and took our drink and antipasti orders. The food arrived quickly. The squid was perfect - not easy to do. The garlic bread was delicious, as was the squash fritter. The house red was pleasantly fruity. Entrees were 2 pizzas and beef bavette. The pizza crust was excellent (my dog also seemed to approve when he stole the leftovers). The beef was melt-in-the-mouth perfection (the dog couldn't get to that). Dessert was a batch of excellent cannoli and a chocolate torte, made with almond flour, like a chocolate brownie, but lighter. The food was excellent. The service seemed very much like a family-run place - very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Try it. It's excellent.

Stopped by for happy hour on a Saturday and had a great experience. They have a ton of options at fairly reasonable prices. We tried the butternut squash arancini and funghi pizza, both of which were delicious. The free bread that they give you also was super tasty. Favorite drink was the basilico, though the house pinot grigio was also great. I wasn't as much of a fan of the sangria di cristo, but it wasn't bad.

First time at Zucca, 5/26/24. My experience was above expectations. Beautiful scenery and staff. I love the outdoor seating area. Nina is a great waitress. Will definitely be coming back to visit again.

Zucca hosted my son’s rehearsal dinner for 80. Absolutely the best experience. Brian and his amazing staff made the night unforgettable. Food and cocktails were delicious. Brian was so flexible and reassuring at every request and change we made. All of the guests were blown away and most importantly, the happy couple was delighted…HIGHLY recommend!!

Zucca is about as authentic as it gets in Louisville. Make sure you get reservations though! I didn't and was stuck in a wind storm (by my own choice, not the fault of the waiters) but the waiters tried everything to keep me and my family warm while making me laugh. After we moved in, the atmosphere was great. The food was very good (get the brussel sprouts!) but, based on what I got as a vegetarian, I would probably come back for other food. I would love to try different food here! The staff is great people who really do care.

Mixed reviews of this restaurant in my party. The waiter was great. The happy hour selections were very good (try the olives with lemon zest), though it would have been good to have silverware with them so you can share at a table. The entrees were salty. Most were good anyway. The environment is quite nice and the sound level was low enough that we could have a conversation across the table.

We had the pleasure of being served by Hannah at Zucca and she truly made our experience special. Not only was she friendly and attentive, but her knowledge of the menu and drink pairings was spot-on. Her warm personality and excellent service made our night even more enjoyable. Highly recommend sitting at her bar next time you’re in Louisville!
