Zula is a cozy yet stylish burger joint near Marble Arch, serving up juicy, gourmet burgers with unique twists and standout spiced fries.
"Zula is a spacious, comfortable, diner-esque spot by Marble Arch that looks like a fast food joint but has restaurant service. Of all the good, bad, and OK burger spots in London, Zula is on the better than average end of the spectrum. Not everything is perfect—the buns can be a bit dry and their Fake Mac sauce is a little too mustard-heavy—but of the four burgers on the menu, the majority are great and none of them are a simple cheeseburger. The Basic has a creamy truffle mayo that’s far from basic, and the spiced fries are so good we want to throw them in a family-sized crisp bag to snack on later. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Food Rundown photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Spiced Fries The spice on these fries tastes like something between cajun and harissa, and we’re big fans. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Basic The truffle mayo elevates this burger from great to excellent. It’s thick and creamy, with a nice, strong hint of truffle and there’s a generous amount of the stuff which makes this our favourite burger. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch B.I.G This is the same as the Basic with double the meat and some mustard. Get this if you prefer a higher meat to bread ratio. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Fake Mac Zula’s take on a Big Mac, but the sauce is too mustardy. Unless you’re a mustard-lover, you’re better off with the Basic." - Rianne Shlebak
