Gasthof Zum Bären

After re-start still great food and a wonderful setting in the garden. During our visit service was unfortunately overwhelmed and not exactly friendly. Does not match this great place at all. Hope this gets back to how it was.

A unique hotel and restaurant. One would not expect such a charming and romantic place in a tiny rural village. The chef creates delicious and nicely presented dishes, also for vegetarians. Friendly and accommodating service. As spaces are limited, reservations are recommended.

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Pfaendler's Gasthof zum Bären. We were seated in the beautifully decorated Bären room. Only 4 tables with lots of lovely decorations.||The apero drink (white port with tonic water) was on the house - very unusal for Switzerland - but highly appreciated. The food is well presented and tastes superb.||I could not finish my desert and they offered to pack it up for me to take home. A nice touch.||The service is very attentive and professional.||We are definitely coming back here.

We take the dinner in this restaurant each time when we are in Swizerland! This time we have been with our 3 children and all of us had a great culinary experience! It is one of that place hidden where you are amazed by the gourmet food!||Everything was perfect , tasty and wonderfull present by chef.||Don't miss this culinary experience!

very nice place, is not a typical hotel. Extremely good restaurant. On Monday does not work. The second haus is more quiet but the internet does not work very well. A lot of bears but there is not available for sales. Nice place. To arrive take the Bus 7 in Baden and leave of the stop "birmenstorf post"

This familiar Restaurant has several menu’s with local ingredients. The Food is very well prepared and has a touch of “Pfändler”. The Orangerie in this Restaurant is our close by preference in Summer and Winter during the last I do not know how many years. My Favorite Restaurant Bären together with the one in Wengen

Absolutely excellent. Not a single thing i could complain about. Service was attentive and very polite, the food was absolutely delicious seasonal and cooked to perfection.

Near our house . We celebrate only at Baren. Wonderful setting and service . In summer the garden is close to paradise.
