Great food, great service, great place. The owners and staff were all very nice, and very accommodating of every fancy. I took up their suggestions and am glad to have done so - the food was exquisite, and the accompanying Austrian wines were very accomplished. Even in early spring the place has a summer atmosphere. And outside, the shimmering light on the lake turns quiet to let you enjoy all the shades of light in a delightful and quiet post-meal stroll.

We ate here a month ago and I thought I left a review but I must have not so here we go: Food was delicious but the best part was Franz the owner. He’s so welcoming and caring. He made our visit even more special. Apparently he just celebrated his 60th and he had some of the bottles of red he had ordered for his birthday left and we were able to drink a wine that is normally 60-80 CHF (for the bottle) by the glass at a very very reasonable price and it was absolutely delicious!! Schnitzel was delicious too, and so was desert. We’ll definitely be back :)

My wife and I spent our 1 year anniversary here and the food was excellent. From the starter salad to the kürbissuppe, absolute delight. Kartoffelsalat which came with the famous Wienerschnitzel was one of the best I have had. The owner Franz is a sommelier and he is a very very friendly owner. He has immense knowledge with wine and is always ready to make good recommendations. Styrian wine needs no introduction but if you have never had any, this is the place to be. Overall, i would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat Austrian, but even better, Styrian dishes in Switzerland.

Best schnitzel ever, elegant atmosphere and great service!

Kaiser Franz is unique and being served by himself personally a delight. The Schnitzel was awesome and the wine too! Always lovely to return to Kaiser Franz when in Zug.

We came here the other night to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice, I took the recommendation made by the friendly young man waiting our table and it was delicious! The staff is nothing but welcoming and made us feel immediately at ease. I recommend it 100% !

My favourite Austrian restaurant in Zug. The owner and his staff are what I consider real hosts. It is even worthwhile to drive from Zurich. And we were here again. What surprise the owner was cooking today and guess - it was super. The staff as always perfect, friendly and efficient. The menu great and the owner so special - a real Gastronom. We would love to duplicate and bring him to Zurich. With the good weather the terrace is a nice place having lake view and as said with the menu and the staff your visit will be magnificent. Ein Servus nach Zug.
