Am in Love with the waitresse’s smile, but that is a different story. Luxury décor with a laid-back vibe. Great vue of the lake, must try the specialties here, Wienner Schnitzel and crème schnitzel for desert. The other items looked awesome as they passed by. Great wine selection.

We ate here a month ago and I thought I left a review but I must have not so here we go: Food was delicious but the best part was Franz the owner. He’s so welcoming and caring. He made our visit even more special. Apparently he just celebrated his 60th and he had some of the bottles of red he had ordered for his birthday left and we were able to drink a wine that is normally 60-80 CHF (for the bottle) by the glass at a very very reasonable price and it was absolutely delicious!! Schnitzel was delicious too, and so was desert. We’ll definitely be back :)

Great food, great service, great place. The owners and staff were all very nice, and very accommodating of every fancy. I took up their suggestions and am glad to have done so - the food was exquisite, and the accompanying Austrian wines were very accomplished. Even in early spring the place has a summer atmosphere. And outside, the shimmering light on the lake turns quiet to let you enjoy all the shades of light in a delightful and quiet post-meal stroll.

My wife and I spent our 1 year anniversary here and the food was excellent. From the starter salad to the kürbissuppe, absolute delight. Kartoffelsalat which came with the famous Wienerschnitzel was one of the best I have had. The owner Franz is a sommelier and he is a very very friendly owner. He has immense knowledge with wine and is always ready to make good recommendations. Styrian wine needs no introduction but if you have never had any, this is the place to be. Overall, i would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat Austrian, but even better, Styrian dishes in Switzerland.

An absolute must if you are in Zug. My 6th visit there last night did not disappoint. Food , service and ambience all in one. One tip, make sure you skip lunch if you go here....

Second visit to Kaiser Franz(had to cancel in 2020 and 2022). Second visit as great as the first. We made reservations a couple of months in advance and glad we did. When we arrived about 20 minutes early there was no problem. Our table was reserved overlooking the lake. Perfect. We ordered the Wiener Schnitzel served with a warm potato salad and white Asparagus served with Hollandaise sauce. First a complimentary appetizer with lox and cream cheese served with a bit of cous cous spreads. The bread was homemade and out of this world delicious. It appeared with two different spreads. The pinck spread was a roasted red pepper and cream cheese with crumbled pink peppercorns. I couldn't figure out the green one but it was equally delicious. ...divine. Then the main courses were served. The Wiener Schnitzel was huge. It was as thin as could be imagined, perfectly tender and seasoned well. The warm potato salad was great but decided quickly that it was filler and we had a plate full of perfect veal and wonderful asparagus to eat! There was so much food. No room for dessert. So sad. Highly recommend. Can't wait to return. Make a reservation in advance. Service is tops. You will not be rushed. Class act.

Dined here last night with family and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience with some beautiful food. The salads were outstanding -- large, fresh, and filled with taste and texture. One of our party had the beef and onions which he said was excellent and another had a traditional Austrian beef brisket (Tafelspitz) and the beef was so tender. I had pork roast with red cabbage. The pork was fork tender and the brown gravy very satisfying. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Three birthdays last night were announced with corny (in a good way) music and sparklers on a small cake. Fun atmosphere!

In this restaurant I had best Schnitzel in my life. Not cheap but it is worth it. Service is very personal and nice. Next time I am in Zug I will return.
