"Gliding down the softly lit staircase allows everyone to feel like they’re about to arrive at the best party in town – this really is Fun Central, with the music to prove it. As with all other Zuma branches around the globe, the menu covers a multitude of Japanese bases, with seafood from the robata grill being the standout, although the signature corn-fed baby chicken rightly has many admirers too." - Michelin Inspector

"Izakaya-Style Dining at Zuma Located near the heart of Dubai , Zuma is known for strong classical execution with a hip, contemporary twist. The menu includes both sushi and sashimi alongside modern riffs, such as delicately-sliced sea bass served with truffle oil, yuzu, and salmon roe. The food is delicious (although pricey) but if you don't want to commit to an entire dinner, the bar has a great selection of sake, as well as fun—lethal—cocktails."

10 Best Hotel Brunches in Dubai

"One of Dubai's many foreign imports, London-based Zuma is Dubai's go-to spot for sushi in a posh, clubby atmosphere. Subtle tones and rusted-steel walls juxtapose nicely geometric Arab artwork. Expect izakaya small plates meant for sharing, like black cod wrapped in hoba leaves and roasted lobster with shiso ponzu butter. The sushi and sashimi here is the some of the best in Dubai, with a check to match." - Maresa Manara

We had an overall fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, which immediately made us feel welcome. The service throughout the evening was excellent, attentive and the staff really knew their stuff when it came to the menu. The seating and ambiance were also top-tier. The space is modern and stylish, it has a relaxed vibe that makes it comfortable for intimate dinner. We enjoyed the dinner without feeling rushed, which is a bonus. Everything was delicious. The dishes had rich flavors and were beautifully presented. That said, I did have one small issue. I ordered the seared tuna, and it turned out to be a bit chewy due to membrane. I mentioned it to the staff, expecting either a replacement or some sort of adjustment, but nothing came of it. It wasn’t a huge deal, just a minor thing that I felt could’ve been handled better considering the overall high standard of the restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zuma, a Japanese restaurant that perfectly balances a vibrant atmosphere with refined culinary artistry. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the tone for what turned out to be an outstanding dining experience. The bar impressed me immediately with its creative cocktail menu—each drink beautifully crafted and well-balanced, making it the ideal start to the evening. For food, I tried a variety of dishes, and every item stood out in its own way. The mushroom risotto was a delightful surprise—creamy, earthy, and bursting with umami, it was comfort food elevated to a sophisticated level. The corn was another highlight, perfectly seasoned with just the right touch of smokiness and sweetness. Sushi at Zuma lived up to its reputation—fresh, delicate, and presented with precision. Each bite was clean, flavorful, and showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality ingredients. The gyoza was equally impressive, with a crisp exterior giving way to a juicy, flavorful filling. To balance out the meal, I ended with a soothing cup of chamomile tea, which was a perfect finishing touch—calming, fragrant, and refreshing after such a flavorful spread. What makes Zuma truly exceptional is not only the food but also the consistency in service and the overall dining experience. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and plated, while the cocktails and tea reflected the same attention to detail. I left thoroughly satisfied and would gladly return for both the food and the atmosphere.

Had dinner today with my cousins, and even though almost everyone I know friends, cousins, literally everyone has been to Zuma more than five times, this was actually my very first visit! Every time there’s a gathering, I somehow miss it… but finally, today was the day. I’ve been to other Zuma branches outside the UAE, but this was my first time here, and honestly, I loved it the most. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Service was top-notch. We ordered a variety of dishes (will post pictures!) and I tried almost everything except the raw items loved them all!

I usually don't love hyped restaurants. Even though the atmosphere and service are usually great (it was even better at Zuma), the food is where these restaurants disappoint. But Zuma DIDN'T. The food is really good. We had the signature tasting menu and we were extremely full afterwards. Everything is great, but the black cod is a must ! The dessert platter is amazing.

Haven’t been to Zuma in ages, so we pulled up for my friend’s birthday, and it was a vibe. We booked for 11PM, so the music was up, people were dancing, energy was great. We didn’t go all out with the food since we weren’t that hungry, just kept it simple. Service was solid, super chill staff. Definitely coming back.

I enjoyed the experience and would consider coming back, but I found the food to be just okay, nothing that truly wowed me. The service was a bit slow, though the quality control across the dishes seemed consistent. Having tried steaks in many parts of the world, I was expecting the AA7 Wagyu sirloin to deliver a more elevated taste, but it was simply good, not exceptional. Here’s what we ordered and how I’d rate each: Amondo Drink(7/10) Overly sweet, likely due to the orgeat syrup, but the nutty almond flavor added an interesting twist. Norisan Drink(7.5/10) Refreshing and tropical, with a pleasant blend of pineapple, orange, and passion fruit. King Crab Salad (8.5/10) A standout dish, vibrant, well-balanced, and creative. Portion size is generous enough for at least two people. Ebi Maki (7.5/10) Decent, but I personally found it lacking in bold flavor. Dynamite Spider Maki (8/10) Great crunch and a nice balance of spice. Could benefit from a touch more sauce or creaminess. Spicy Beef Tenderloin (8.5/10) Cooked to perfection and full of flavor. A bit more heat or an additional dip could take it up a notch. Roasted Potato (8.5/10) Surprisingly flavorful, crispy on the outside, soft and well-seasoned inside. AA7 Wagyu Sirloin (7.5/10) Good quality meat, but not as melt-in-your-mouth as expected for wagyu. Slightly more tenderness would elevate it. Special Chocolate Dessert (8/10) It’s not a high quality chocolate, but it’s really rich in flavor. I’d suggest replacing the ice cream with saffron ice cream and adding a touch of salt to the caramel in cake for contrast. It’s a well curated menu with a nice atmosphere, and I’ll likely return to explore more of their offerings.

My favorite place to enjoy the vibes in every way possible! The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even served me prosecco when I didn’t realize I couldn't pay in a different currency. I was fascinated watching the extraordinary teamwork behind the bar; their unity showed itself

One of the best restaurants in dubai honestly, my favorite in the world!! The food is incredibly delicious and every visit has been an amazing experience. The staff are always kind, respectful, and provide excellent service. No matter how many times I go, I’m always impressed. It will always be my go to spot in Dubai. I ❤️ zuma Highly recommend trying these dishes: Lobster No Oven-yaki, Gyōza, Rock Shrimp Tempura, California Maki Roll, Crispy Fried Squid, Beef Tenderloin with Sesame and Sweet Soy, Mashed Potato, Crab Salad, and of course the signature chocolate fondant
