Zunzum Gastrobar

Extremely disappointing experience, especially for a restaurant holding a Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction. The food was almost entirely tasteless, with a clear lack of salt in most dishes. While the plating was undeniably beautiful, the visual appeal did nothing to compensate for the complete absence of flavor. The dishes looked impressive but tasted flat and uninspired. We ended up returning almost full plates from five different dishes, including the main courses, which were a total disaster. Shockingly, no one from the staff bothered to ask why the food was sent back or showed any concern at all. The service was poor and indifferent throughout the evening. Staff seemed disengaged and uninterested in guest feedback, which only added to the frustration. Given the prices and the Michelin label, the overall experience was far below expectations. This restaurant seems to prioritize aesthetics over substance. Beautiful plating alone cannot justify a reputation built on quality and value — both of which were missing here.

Genuinely, I had one of my best meals of my life here. I was a walk in, and I got sat at the bar since all the tables were reserved quite understandably. The recommendations from the bartender were excellent, I got to meet a ton of the chefs, as I am a chef myself. Including Chef Marlene came around and was very gracious with her time. The food was Simple and Divine. I recommend this time whenever I hear somebody is going to Portugal.

This restaurant was amazing!! Great Gluten Free/Friendly options with all the food being out of the world delicious!! The service was exceptional with us never wanting for attention! And the atmosphere was calming and relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

Food and servers were nice, however, our main server asked us twice if we “wanted” our last course boxed up to go, saying “the chef said she can box it for you”. Despite our clear requests to plate the meal, it was still brought out in a box. The restaurant was closing soon but there were at least six other tables still sat with food and drinks. We just took bites of the lamb out of the box and made our exit. Disappointing and affected the experience.

We had the prix fixe for a 6- course tasting menu. It was delicious! The food was innovative, portions were generous, would return and recommend. The severs were attentive and took care of our two young kids. Highly recommend!

Lovely place, wonderful dishes. Steamed shrimp has some Asian flavor. Baked rice is very refreshing when paired with squid sauce.

Last Friday evening i have got the pleasure to visit zunzum gastrobar. I loved the food service and the nice personal, my favourite was the lamb sandwich. The bathroom was a bit disappointing, in terms of cleanliness. The view over Lisbon and the river was lovely but obstructed by construction and a fence. I do definitely recommend visiting ! Zunzum thank you for the excellent service and food 🍱

Amazing place! Food and service unreal. Very personalised service and care. I have been twice, for my mother and for my own birthday. I will come back for sure.
