Great spot to eat after hiking! The Almschnitzel was my husband’s favorite with the ham, onions and cheese. Friendly service and clean. The food was delicious. Cash only.

Great for kids, little playground on the side. We were surprised that they didn’t serve any food after 5pm, it didn’t say anywhere.

I would highly recommend not coming to this venue Very expensive for example Cooled Tap water £2.50... Self service, meaning when you order you have to collect, for the pricing .... thats ridicules NOT very kid friendly either.

Nice apple struder with ice cream and whipped cream which was very nice after a long walk in a hot summer day;)

A beautiful spot to have a nice lunch, before or after the scenic hike at Almbachklamm. The staff is really pleasant and make you feel welcome. But what surprised me is that they have great vegetarian options ! Can you believe it , veggie options in a Gasthaus 😬 I ordered the hausgemacht veggie burger and it was a generous portion, fresh and absolutely delicious! I thank the owners for including veggie dishes on the menu. It’s also dog friendly. The bar is hubsch and wines are good !

Stopped here for a meal with friends after hiking through the gorge to the waterfall and back. Reasonable prices, large portions, and friendly service when you go through the self-service line. Desserts are also tasty here.

We stopped here after a 10km hike up and around the canyon and surrounding hills for a bite to eat and a cold beer. The menu is not particularly remarkable but it's not unreasonably priced and a good cold beer makes everything better. Unlike basically everywhere else in Germany, you order at the bar and collect when it's ready. It's not a great burden but it just seemed out of character for the region.

I would say, that it is a really nice and rare place. Where finest food is served, service meets superb quality and if you're interested in Mills, you can find out more info about producing Marble balls in such a unique way. Sure you can buy some and get them back home with you.

Goulash with noodles was very good. Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes & cranberries was also good. Server was very nice. Great Bavarian atmosphere, with soft Bavarian music in the background. English menus available.
