Google
When we first moved here we kept hearing that we needed to go down and visit this brewery and man were people right. One of our overall favorites! The beer scene in Fort Collins is all good but what stands out to us with Zwei was the people, atmosphere and of course German style beers. Will be back again, thank you!

Don't Tread On Me

Google
Zwei is undoubtedly one of the top few breweries in Ft Collins. The best in my opinion. I’ve been coming here since they first opened. Awesome staff! GREAT beer, fresh, same quality consistently!! This place is above and beyond.

Sally Schneiders

Google
Best German style beer in Colorado, and we know because we are from Chicago! Zwei is also everybody’s Cheers brewery, at least 600 regulars meeting up after bike rides, work, fishing, whatever. Food trucks round out the awesome line up😍

Beck Frame

Google
Experimental and traditional beers here are excellent. I have never had a beer here that I didn't like even if the style was not my favorite. High quality ingredients are used and the service is stellar from the staff. A very unnasumming location that we have taken out of staters or friends from Denver to and they have agreed, it's some of the best beer they have had. It's great to have something like this on Harmony.

Google
Beers taste good however it’s Father’s Day with a high of 90 degrees and they decided to save money by not using the air conditioner which would normally be fine but all I can smell is sweat and BO so it’s hard to enjoy the beer. Maybe soon they will have enough input to decide to use the hvac system.

Google
Awesome German style brewery. We enjoyed the Gose, Vienna lager, Helles lager, and the flagship Pilsner. They were all spectacular! They have a Great vibe, our style of 90s grunge music and the people were so welcoming. They also have an awesome Biergarten. Definitely worth getting away from the big brewers in Ft. Collins for an adventure. We will absolutely be back!

Steve Dempsey

Google
Nice little brewery and I enjoy drinking their beers in bars around foco. A ton of outdoor space with tables and benches. Inside you can order their signature beers, light snacks are available to order and a food truck that is on site. Staff is friendly, great chill place.

Google
Enjoyable visit to Zwei Brewing on a Wednesday afternoon for a special event. The accommodations for the event were great, considering how popular the place was. I enjoyed a great tasting dark IPA, something I've not seen anywhere else. Looking forward to my next visit!

John K.

Yelp
Best German beer I've had that was brewed west of the Rhine... and before the Danube :-). Love all the flowers in the patio garden. My first sip of their Helles 10 years ago took me straight back to Munich. I was blown away. It's the only brewery in town I visit anymore. When newbies ask which beer they should get, I always tell them: "there's 20 or so listed on the board up there, and they're all excellent." So wonderful to have these excellent German beers brewed right here in Fort Collins.

John S.

Yelp
This place has the most authentic and amazing German beers! IMO, they are literally the best German brewery in the state of CO, by far. I personally really enjoy the Hefeweizen and the Vienna the most, but they make so many fabulous beers! The service is great, the patio is nice and the food trucks are pretty good as well. But the beer, OMG it is so good!!

Michele R.

Yelp
We stopped in to 'try a local beer' while we were in town and what a find! Their Oktoberfest is the best I've ever had - it's brewed in limited quantities and the bartender said it would go fast - for good reason! Their lager is great too. Dogs are welcome, everyone is friendly, the bartenders are knowledgeable and helpful. This brewery is one of the best I've visited.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Authentic German beer. The Vienna is my favorite. My friends love the stouts and porters. Finely crafted. I have to respect these guys for going back to very traditional beers, rather than some of the beers of the moment. At least my eyes were attracted to the German beers. They do have a large selection and something to please anyone. Different food truck each night, of course. Many outside tables with benches, real German Biergarten tables. Super nice staff. There is a sweet dog at each table, very dog friendly, gotta love that, Fünf-Sterne

Joe M.

Yelp
Loved this place - great beer garden setting with outstanding German beers - people were awesome and there is a food truck most evenings.

Sarah A.

Yelp
German beers!! This lager lovin' girl was happy. We stopped in for a quick pint. The Dunkel was on point! My husband enjoyed what could possibly be the best hopped Pilsner we have ever encountered. They have plenty of parking. There is seating inside and outside. They have food trucks on their schedule. We did not have time to partake but it looked like a good one that day. We will most definitely be back. Prost!

David K.

Yelp
Been here a bunch of times since I first did a review 6 years ago. Best German beers in the state. Great size patio. Good amount of tables inside. Good amount of beers to select from. They usually have a food truck. They do sell Crowlers. Bartenders are always friendly and attentive. A great atmosphere. They do have some "American style beers" like IPAs and sours. This probably my top 2-3 places I love going in Fort Collins. Cheers!

Robert R.

Yelp
Loved Zwei, everything except the line to get beer. We were there on a friday, so it was busy. Schwarzbier and the Cherry Mango sour were the two we tried. Both were delicious. Food truck was doublewide, which was also awesome. Loved the whole vibe. Will definitely be back!

Jared N.

Yelp
Absolute perfection. Everything at Zwei is simple, no-nonsense and straight to the point. No weird additives, no gimmicky names. It's just good beer. Bathroom is clean, counter can be a little busy but no excessive wait. Grab a flight of anything German style. If you're a true beer fan, you won't be disappointed.

Kurgan F.

Yelp
The bartenders are extremely nice here. The beer is great, and I'm not even a German beer guy (my preference is really nasty gas station IPAs that taste like battery acid). Most weekdays around noon it's quiet enough to sit and read, which is what I usually do. The Friday nights and Saturday nights I've been here, it's always popping, though there's enough seating if you walk around and look. I really like their stouts, IPAs, and their Hefeweizen (depending on what you're feeling). They also have some snacks-the chips and salsa are actually good (you don't have to believe me, but their salsa is locally-sourced), and some pre-bagged popcorn (the white cheddar is great). There's others, but those are the only two I've tried. Just highly recommend all around.

Mark F.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to throw back a brew. The pilsner I had was one of the best but don't stop there, everything we had that night was excellent.

Jake J.

Yelp
Cool little brewery if you like traditional German style beer this is a solid place to check out

Shelly A.

Yelp
Excellent beer....plenty of indoor and outdoor seating....food truck available....well behaved dogs....it's all good! Cheers!

Dawn H.

Yelp
My 1st stop on a previous Colorado beercation! Conveniently located on Old Town, right in the alley adjacent to the new lovely, boutique Elizabeth Hotel. Zwei is a very chill place and felt like a neighborhood pub. The staff and other patrons were all very friendly and accommodating with service and recommendations. Zwei's actual Brewery is located in Denver, so I would call this a Tap House. Very nice craft brew. Cheers!

Tim F.

Yelp
Friendly lively atmosphere and great German style beers! Especially liked the Northern German Pilsner.

Hailey S.

Yelp
Super casual vibe and eclectic decorations, space lots of bike themed and European sports paraphernalia. Nice variety of beers, very traditional European styles and very well flavored. Totally leaving with a sixpack and or a shirt!

Emily M.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed this spot! The inside feels like a German brewery and the service is so friendly. All the beers we tried were delicious! I got a taster and was able to try quite a few. I don't think you can go wrong.

Mo C.

Yelp
Wonderful, clean, German Lagers. This is a warehouse-style brewery with a great patio and plenty of parking. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable about all the beer styles and know exactly what to recommend. We enjoyed all the traditional German styles we tried. Lagers can be challenging to make in CO, but these guys do them well.

Charlie M.

Yelp
these boys know how to brew tasty beer and also help the rest of us understand what we might expect flavor wise with postings of IBU units per brew. I was able to speak with one of the owners and his main take was " all our people are co- owners". refreshing in todays climate. ill patronize them anytime im in FTC .

Alden C.

Yelp
Yet another great brewery addition to the Fort Collins brewing community. Zwei is German styled beer and with that element really adds a unique touch to the brewing scene here in town. At Zwei I had the Stilted Stout which was fantastic! I mean that was a really good stout! I wanted to try more of their beer and will in the future when I am back but due to my evening out which comprised of doing a brewery tour around town I stuck to just the stout. The atmosphere is fun and they have a really good looking patio for when it is warm out to hang out at. I will indeed be returning and will want to try some of those lagers that they have!

Ashley L.

Yelp
Stopped by on our bikes. I asked if they had ciders. The lady at the bar was rude. We won't be back.

Kallan C.

Yelp
Zwei is one of my favorite breweries!! They have great, no frills, German beer that is sooooo tasty. There is a great variety of beers. Everything from light Wheats to heavy IPAs to dark stouts... everyone can find something to enjoy. They also have a great choice of sizes. You can get small tasters, half pint, full pints, and even the big German mugs if there is a beer you particularly enjoy. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The patio is fairly large and seating isn't usually an issue. There are board games to play or you can just enjoy good conversation at your table. Bathrooms are clean. Lots of good merchandise (shirts, glasses, etc) and you can get crowlers or growlers of beer to go. Service is great and everyone is friendly and happy to talk about beer. Even when it is busy, the bartenders do a good job of keeping the line moving. Don't forget to check out the food truck schedule before you go! They have a great lineup of trucks that stop by and will serve you food while you enjoy your beer.

Amelia J.

Yelp
Amazing beer selection with a great patio! Love how it's hidden and down to earth. Staff is chill and knowledgeable.

Miranda M.

Yelp
Zwei is a great place to hangout on a nice day. They have a good size patio with an extra large Jenga and a ping pong table. There is always a food truck outside. The staff is awesome - they remember us and what we order, even after we haven't been in for months. The beer is great! I LOVE that they keep the ladies restroom stocked with free tampons, and not the cheapest ones either. I do wish though that the restroom stalls didn't have two inch gaps between the door where they lock so everyone can easily see in the stall. Overall, awesome brewery, definitely recommended!

Tina L.

Yelp
Customer service was lacking. We took some out of town friends to Zwei, they enjoy breweries. We had never been to Zwei before. I have celiac disease and cannot drink beer but most breweries have other options like wine, soda, water. Our friends ordered first and got a table. When it was time for my husband and i to order i asked if they had anything gluten free. The bartender looked at me with a straight face and said "this is a brewery" (I wanted to say "no shit" but i didn't). I then asked "no wine or soda" and again he looked at me and said "this is a brewery". So i went and sat down as did my husband (who would have ordered a beer but didn't because of the rude bartender). As we sat there waiting for our friends to finish their beer i noticed a water bottle station. The bartender could have given me a cup and pointed me that way but he was to busy being a smart ass. My husband would have ordered a beer. Won't be back.

Joseph C.

Yelp
This is the best brewery in Fort Collins. ALL of their beers are amazing and the staff is great. Always a great food truck with awesome patio seating and wonderful in doors.

Alyse H.

Yelp
It's always fun to find a spot that makes me think I'm across the pond in Europe, and this place does exactly that. I tried the Dunkel and was transported back to Munchen. There is a great patio that was filled with dogs and their beer loving owners.

SeeingElvis K.

Yelp
One of my top three in Colorado. If you like traditional Euro-centric brewing arts- wherein beer tastes like beer- by all means give Zwei a visit. Simply exceptional beers and nice folks who know their beer. A lovely taproom with cool flags and signs. The location in what is basically a high retail/strip mall-type area is easily accessible, but the outdoor space perhaps suffers in the aesthetic realm as such. Nevertheless, you are there to drink quality beer, and quality beer you shall drink. The quality conversation is up to you and your fine drinking partners. Enjoy.

Brittney S.

Yelp
As someone who isn't the biggest beer fan, the beers here are OUTSTANDING and DELICIOUS! I'd highly recommend the Weissbier and Dunkel. Don't let the colors fool you, they're incredibly refreshing and easy to drink! 10/10 atmosphere too!

Chris M.

Yelp
Never disappoints, Had the Willie Nelson IPA with a cheesesteak from Chefrey's Cheesesteaks food truck. Great Monday night. Made me miss home. And yes I was at the Eagles beat down of the Broncos last week!

Heidi K.

Yelp
Zwei is a smaller brewery in Fort Collins that specializes in German style lagers and weissbeer, though they do make some Belgium and American styles as well. The beertenders are super friendly and very accommodating. The only beer I was able to drink here was the Willy Nelson IPA from their Indigenous selection, as I was battling a wicked hangover from too much fun on our first day in Colorado the day before. N00b status, I know. Even the Greek food truck outside wouldn't have saved me that day. Their Continental beer selections include more of the German style brews, which my husband and our friends really enjoyed. Both the Continental and Indigenous selections have about ten beers or so, so there's definitely something for everyone to try and enjoy. The interior has a large merch section, a self-service water station, and plenty of bar, table, and outdoor seating. There decor boasts gorgeous woodwork and modern lighting. I look forward to returning, minus the hangover.

Cheryl S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite breweries anywhere. I'm a big fan of their Weiss beer and I think it is the best example of a Weiss beer that I've had anywhere. All of their beers are good though and they have lots of variety of styles.

J K.

Yelp
Zwei is hands down the best craft brewery in Fort Collins. 1) first and foremost the beer is great. From Indigenous to Continental menus the brews are among best in town. 2) staff are exceptional - friendly, no turnover and they know the business well and take care of you 3) atmosphere is awesome! Hard to find a more fun place to chill with a brew Lastly, brothers Kirk and Eric are face of this business and take their time to do it right, and are respected by employees, customers and colleagues

Wendy M.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way back from a hike at Lory State Park... Not a lot of pics yet on Yelp to help gauge what we'd find, though. You know I fixed that though, lol. Glad we stopped. Such a cool find. With all the craft breweries that Colorado can offer a thirsty soul, it's always awesome to find a place that's spacious, clean, has a dog friendly outdoor area, great food (via food trucks) and good beer. I'm an "attention to details" kinda girl and really appreciated the time and effort that went into the interior and exterior decor. Well done... Contemporary yet cozy. And any place that has Christmas tree light in the tree outside... points! I took lots of pics to show you, too. Mellow atmosphere, great beer selection and good service. Yes, please. We'll be back!

Dave H.

Yelp
Large selection of brews in a pleasant indoor/outdoor setting. Seething for every beer taste.

Dan C.

Yelp
Absolutely one of my go-to breweries in Fort Collins! Authentic German style beers and then some! The parking lot is small around the brewery and you may have to park in the Walmart parking lot, which is just across the street. I find myself choosing this brewery often to meet with buddies for a relaxing beer (and burrito when the right food truck is there). I am not the guy who wants to get super creative with every beer I try and I like to drink typical beer styles that are done well. This is where Zwei delivers! They have amazing German styles that I regularly choose and they make some pretty incredible IPA's as well. I am a fan of the "Willie Nelson IPA" and all the variations of that beer. They serve their beer in the correct glassware and that is NOT typical of most breweries in town. I also have the option to get a full pint and then choose a smaller size for my last beer to finish out the night if I don't want a full glass. The bartenders know what they are talking about with the beer you ask about and that helps when you are feeling adventurous. The outdoor patio is nice and shaded, the inside is nice as well. There is not a ton of space and it packs out pretty fast in the evenings. Even if you aren't a German beer fan, if you like quality beer made right, this is a place to try in Fort Collins! You won't be disappointed.

Bob S.

Yelp
If you have an aversion to plane flight and foreign cultures, but still want to experience what beer tastes like from Germany, this is your best bet. There are countless breweries that aim to replicate the experience of a wheat beer in the US, and 93% of them fall short. Zwei Brewing knocks it out of the park! They capture it all: the banana notes, the clove, the bubble gum, the mouth feel. I used to live in Munich, and the Weissbier (wheat), and Dunkles Weissbier (dark wheat beer) both brought me back to taps at the local restaurant or biergarten. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the biergarten is inviting, and the beer is the most authentic I've had on American soil. Well done, Zwei!

Ann D.

Yelp
We have been waiting to visit Zwei Brewing as it is a highly recommended brewery in Fort Collins. We finally made it up there to check it out and couldn't be happier. We tried a sampler of their German beers and another of some specialties. Our bartender was incredible. She helped us find a table and described all of the beers to help us out. The service was excellent and she even came by to check on how the beers were tasting. The beers are amazing, environment is great, and service is grade A. Make sure you try the Helles and ask for Stasha the bartender!

Mike W.

Yelp
Very cool brewery. We stopped by here after a day in Rocky Mountain National Park before heading to our hotel for the evening. This definitely seems to be the happy hour spot for the locals - we were there on a Thursday and the place was PACKED! Although parking initially looks to be limited (don't park in the fast food Italian restaurant next door unless you want to be towed!), there's plenty of parking in the WalMart parking lot just next door and a quick 30 second walk to the main entrance. Although it was packed, there were more than enough bartenders working, so it took no time at all to get our drinks. Plenty of different types of beer to choose from - I got the double IPA which was very good. Prices were also reasonable. Although there are many breweries in the area that distribute nationally, do yourself a favor and stop by this place to see how the locals do it in Colorado.

Martin H.

Yelp
I just wanted to comment on the music today. This techno or some Rick instrumental bullshit is whacked. Today is Sunday July 19th. Good crowd but holy hell play music people actually like. Rock, country, blues etc. This techno shit is crap and it's like soft shit too boot

Michael K.

Yelp
Zwei is our favorite. There is nice patio seating with shade, friendly wait staff, and delicious German style beers.

Stan R.

Yelp
Some decent beers here and usually a good food truck outside. Atmosphere is whatever I suppose. Mostly middle aged white people and a kid or two plus some dogs. Be nice if the brewer would say hi or hey he always there. The place seems a little clicky to me so I usually get a one and done.

Richard H.

Yelp
Update: I made a special trip to Zwei on Saturday, 12/22/18 for the once a year limited release of Zwei's EisBock and it absolutely did not disappoint! If you have never tried it, you definitely need to get there very soon, before the last keg is gone. If you miss it, the DoppelBock and the other newly released Winter biers and the other flagship biers are all spot on and delicious!!! Prior post : I have been a German bier fan since my first Helles at age 10. I have been spoiled since I found Zwei 2 years ago. I am a huge lager fan and the Zwei lagers are the best I have found. The Helles, Dunkel, Vienna and Swartz biers are favorites, but the German Pils and Weis biers are truly authentic. If you like a good Swartz bier (Berlin style black lager), the newest variation is outrageously good! I am not a hop forward beer fan, but I am told their multiple pale ale and IPA options are really good. Zwei also has a great Espresso Porter, a good kettle sour, a nut brown ale and a red ale, plus there is always something new. I am confident there is something for all and the food cart options are also excellent. I have sat at the bar with local, regional and national brewmasters and Europeans who have been blown away with the quality, authenticity and flavors. If you haven't experienced their biers, you owe yourself a trip to Zwei. If you have, you are forever spoiled.

Husky D.

Yelp
Awesome brewery. Love their pils and dunkel munich style german brews. Great place to hangout and also sample beers.

Aleigha H.

Yelp
We really liked the variety at Zwei. I had the dunkel good flavor. My husband had the golden hammer and it was his favorite beer of the night. We had visited 4 local breweries. He even got a can to go. He also got the willy Nelson to go so it must be good as he never gets any beer to go. I also enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. We sat at the bar and it was fun to see everyycoming in filling growlers or ordering MASS. Haha. It's a huge stein. Husband wanted a mass of the golden hammer but it's NA or as we say no can do. I didn't see the alcohol content, but it must be high if the don't serve it in that size.

John D.

Yelp
The last stop on the way out of town on our brewery hop tour. Man, it was excellent and should be added to the short list of must-stops on any brewery tour in FoCo. Their beers are all in the German style and exceptionally well-done. Got the classics, dunkel, Vienna lager and the Weiss and all were fantastic. They had a good truck but we had already eaten. The place is kind of tucked away behind a firestone but find your way and enjoy!

Chad T.

Yelp
A nice addition to the fort collins microbrewery scene. They're are big on German style lagers and pilsners, eschewing most dark veer options (they do have one stout). The Dunkel is excellent, very smooth and not bitter at all. I also recommend the scotch ale. They do have a food truck outside but note that it doesn't serve food until 3 pm so you can't come here for lunch. At least not a solid lunch.

Christopher B.

Yelp
This place is nestled in the back of a strip mall but immediately I knew I'd like it- at least the atmosphere. There was a bike rack filled with bikes and in the back a humongous patio. I love how light and airy this place is. Perfect way to enjoy a nice afternoon. When I walked in it was filled with locals. This place has a good selection of German beer and each that I tried was quality. I'd be interested to come back to try more of their extensive collection. There is also a food truck out front as well as local restaurants if you need something to munch on.

Allen B.

Yelp
Excellent brewery. Like the German vibe. Everything about this place is chill. Bees are great. Love how they have core german styles but augment with others (IPAs, porters, etc). Very eclectic decor that totally works. Nice places to sit inside and out. Kudos to owners.
