This is a good local spot for a boil. The boil plate 🦀 was big enough for my wife and I. The food was good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The bread pudding 🍮 was amazing. We will come back. It just has a down-home vibe to it and a comfortable place.

I am so upset I didn't come here sooner. I'm here for military training for the week and wow, the food here is absolutely amazing. I got the seafood gumbo, raw oysters, and the BBQ shrimp pasta. Everything was absolutely flavorful and amazing. The young lady waitress did an awesome job and was very friendly. I got the peanut butter chocolate pie to go and man, that was fantastic too. Very clean restaurant, very nice workers, and fantastic food. Really good pricing too. Very very impressed yall!

31AUG24 ~ They nickel & dime you to death. They charge you for water! They charge you for using a credit card, even if you do not use a credit card! French fries do NOT come with a fried seafood dish, any seafood dish! The portions are "Child's Portions!" (Except the salad) Recommend you go find a real seafood restaurant, not this shyster outfit. 09MAR25 ~ The owner's response speaks poorly for whomever wrote the response. You charge for people using a credit card! Look at the receipt. You are NOT being honest! At least the waitress, who told us that Zydeco's charges 3% for using a credit card, was more honest than the writer, or maybe just more knowledgeable. You also still charged us the credit card fee even though we paid cash! You stole the fee amount from us! You were also deceptive when you talked about the water. You do not offer a glass of water. The waitress said the only water available at the table was bottled water at $1.75/bottle. Now add being without integrity to the above review.

Crawfish boil was really good. The seasoning in the water had a little kick and the flavor was great. The server was nice, but not the most experienced and had us confused as to how they sold their boiled crawfish. All said, we wanted crawfish and we got good crawfish.

Recommended to us from our Airboat Adventures Captain. We had the crawfish boil, shrimp boi and salmon. Everything was delicious. Enjoyed this local place. The service was great.

Great place to visit when we want a juicy burger and shrimp po'boy. Good service and delicious sweet tea. Can't wait to try more on the menu.

Came to visit New Orleans Louisiana for Mardi Gras and my military brother suggested that we eat here so I can have a taste of local Southern cuisine. The service was great the food was amazing and I left with a full belly and a happy heart.

Tonight was my first time visiting this restaurant and I must say we will be back. Our server Brittany was not only attentive to our needs, we observed how well she was with all her tables. Her personality was phenomenal, she made us laugh and have a good time. Also, I'd like to mention, the other patrons of this restaurant were also very friendly and all spoke in passing. In today's society, this means alot. Food was sooo delicious as well as the drink of the day we had. Great job you guys. See you soon.

We pass this place all the time. We have passed it going to Salvo's... WHY?! Why were we passing superior seafood. This was some of the most well seasoned boiled seafood I've had in the GNO area. It wasn't spicy enough for me. But nothing here is. Still, well-flavored and very reasonably priced. When the dungeness tray said it came with a "portion of shrimp" I wasn't expected a full pound (maybe more). Also, Nicole was one helluva server. She was kind and brought me lots of sauces and seasonings. Absolutely would ask to be in her section each time I go back!! The lights are blinding particularly if you sit near one that a ceiling fan is bc it acts as a strobe. Get way to set off a migraine or epileptic fit. But that's the only negative thing I could say about this joint. And I wouldn't take more than .5 star off, so five it is!!

Waited for our food over one hour. Waister never come to our table to check on us or give us drink refills. Told them after the one hour to cancel our order and no apology or we had to pay for our water down soft drinks. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE.

Stopped in for the lunch special, was about a 15 min drive from Federal City. Wednesday special was the crawfish etouffe which came with 3 small catfish fillets. The sweet tea was perfect too! Service was great! Food took a little long to come from the kitchen so don't be in a hurry. Nice locals atmosphere you can tell people support them.

I randomly came here with my parents on a Friday night. We shared a huge seafood platter of fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, soft shell crabs, fries and a huge salad. It was all pretty good. This place is a super casual dining room with friendly staff. I'd come back with my parents again!

Went for a weekday lunch with husband, who does have a set lunch schedule. Was recommended, so we decided to try it. ***SPOILER ALERT*** Not going back. Arrived before the lunch crowd in separate cars and were seated. That's when things slowed down. Our server, Sandi B., came by and said she'd be right with us, she just had to do this...but she did this, that, then something else, then came back to the table. Drink orders taken and delivered; appetizer of fried pickles ordered, and a Zydeco Burger ($11.99), a side of dirty rice, jambalaya and potato salad for our entree. I put the price of the burger in this review because everything else was commensurate with what you received. In the meantime, the crowds were coming in, and Sandi B. continued to get seated more tables. Pickles were greasy. Drinks ran dry. Then came the wait on the burger. Considering the only claim to fame of this burger was 2 cheeses, we couldn't understand the hold up. We ended up with all the sides to start, and waiting on the burger. The sides were all good, including the potato salad, but nothing outstanding. At this point my husband is well past his time to be back at work. As soon as the burger did arrive, 30 min after order, he had to wolf down what he wanted and leave me to pay the tab. I do not believe this disaster is all Sandi B.'s fault. Hopefully someone will read this review and address it with those who contributed.

Best food in the Nola area. Started with a cup of Gumbo that was the best I've ever had. My wife had the zydeco platter and I had the blackened redfish. We shared and both tasted fantastic. Nice friendly staff, too. If you are looking for fancy dining, this isn't your place. If you want good food and great service, this is it

The seafood was hot & fresh. Our food arrived before I could wash my hands. Our waitress was nice, attentive, and funny. The atmosphere was friendly and live, but not too overly noisy. We really had a great time!

Everything we've gotten here has always been on point and delicious. My husband and I usually splite the crabnet cast. It's delicious and a lot of food!!! Ask for Brittany, she is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Zydecos today with the fam for my bday lunch and everything we had was amazing. From the bbq skrimps to the blackened red fish orleans . Everyone ate and everyone was happy with their meal. 10/10!

I was treated to this restaurant and I must say it was delish! Our servers name was Traci and she was extremely pleasant. When we arrived we were the only customers in there at first and then it began to fill up! The place was clean and tidy. There were other waitresses doing light duties around the place waiting for customers. Let me get to the food. The BLU CRAB! delish! The FRIED MUSHROOMS.. baby they were fresh and hot! The Shrimp Pasta was just ok. I want to return to try something else.. it was a bit too creamy for my liking! And that delicious BANANA PUDDING! It was amazing! I would recommend. Just don't get that shrimp pasta.. lol get something else! You all get 5 stars for the amazing customer service & food! I'll be back!

My wife and I went to Zydeco's restaurant yesterday for the first time. Everything was AWESOME!, food and service the best seafood we've eatin in a long time, our waitress Nicole did a fantastic job. We will be going back there very soon.

From what I heard, they used to offer an AYCE seafood buffet but they renovated and no longer have it. It is now a full table service restaurant. Still serving an AYCE boiled seafood menu but accordingly with which seafood are in season. There's also other boiled seafood platters available too. I liked how the boiled seafood weren't salty but I thought it lacked flavor and were overcooked. A lot of reviews, especially on Google, raved about the great service but I didn't get the same experience. Not naming the waitress but she was pretty much nonexistent after the food were delivered. The restaurant wasn't busy either, considering it was a weekend dinner service. Saw a lot of other waitresses provided great service to their tables though.

All around great experience. Seafood and sides are excellent. Great fast service. Would recommend for friends and family.

Not French bread, soft bread, expensive I don't think I'll go there again, nice people, they call it French bread but it was not small sandwich for the price

Never have ever had bad service at Zydeco's. Seafood boil is very good and not over salty like other places. Highly recommend. Ask for Brittany.......the sweetest and most helpful waitress there.

Visiting New Orleans and a friend recommended this place. Had the Dungenous Crab Tray with Shrimp, Sausages, potatoes, and corn. Delicious

Food and service were great! I need to come back here and drink; seems like a fun place for dinner. I really wanted to order the all you can eat boiled seafood, but at the last minute decided to get fried shrimp instead. I was very pleased with all the seafood that was served. Our waitress was so sweet and -- side note -- she had the most beautiful eyes. We ordered the boudin eggrolls that were better than expected - I am a boudin snob. We just inhaled those and they came 4 to an order. The steak was too chewy, just order seafood, this is not a steakhouse. The batter used on the fried shrimp was a thicker / hardier batter, but it was delicious. It's just a yummy down to earth seafood shack in LA, what more can you ask for?! The restaurant has plenty of parking. Plenty of space inside the restaurant so it's good for groups and I bet if had gone closer to dinner, this place would be a fun and jumping place to be.

Some of the best seafood you can find. It might be a bit pricey, but we'll worth it. The service is good. Waitresses are as attentive as you would expect. The ambiance is themed like a seafood boat. The steak with the Bourbon seasoning is top notch. There's also a bar for the drinkers.

Came to this restaurant as a request from my 90 year old aunt ! Shrimp catfish plate was very soggy with oil from fryer Seafood gumbo not a one or a half piece of shrimp and coleslaw was dry Service was not even a half star horrible to say the most no refills offered on drinks and had the issue with coleslaw reordered a replacement of potato salad which never came this will be my final visit here will not return even as a free meal to many seafood restaurants close by to come back here never had bad service like this before

Stopped by for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. Two of us truly enjoyed our meals and the service was commendable.

Came here with a group of 11 for lunch and this place was pretty good. I mean it's definitely a bang for your bucks. The portion of my pasta was huge and I couldn't finish that by myself. I got the combo pasta with crawfish and shrimp. The pasta was just a tad bit bland but it's still good. Service was really fast and quick. We ordered our food and it came out within 15 mins. Keep in mind we had a group of 11 people, so that was really quick. I would certainly take a trip back here whenever I get a chance to try other things!

I always get the boil. Service is always good. But I wish they had boiled mushrooms in the boil. Not for me but for hubby. It's his favorite part of the boil. He usually gets the boil but sometimes gets a po'boy and is never disappointed. I recommend them. Especially if you don't want to cross over to Belle Chasse.

We've eaten here twice since coming over here for a job. Both experiences were very pleasant. Friendly staff, great food, and nice atmosphere. 1st time we came we got the BBQ shrimp appetizer, the friend seafood platter with dirty rice, and grilled shrimp platter with coleslaw. Loved the BBQ shrimp and could be ordered as an entree because it's a good size portion. 2nd time we went we got the all you can eat shrimp and blue crab boil (early august) and the all you can eat shrimp boil. Very good, some shrimp were over cooked but you can't win them all. Shrimp and blue crabs were nice size. If you're in the area give them a try!

We recently did the all you can eat crawfish and they had a pretty good flavor & were decently priced. We also had the boudin rolls for an appetizer & they were really good! Our waitress was nice & attentive. Has a casual, true cajun atmosphere. It's a staple for Belle Chasse & a great place for out of towners to get a real feel for cajun cuisine.

I always count on this restaurant for consistent seafood. The service we have had the last few times we were there was fantastic. Our server was quick and very knowledgeable about the menu. We live close and we love going to this restaurant.

We were in town for Mardi Gras and stopped in to get some crawfish. But unfortunately we didn't get any because they were out. Has the raw oysters and they were good and fresh. Would recommend having them if you like oysters. I gave three stars because they didn't have crawfish and there menu was limited unless you chose the buffet.

Alligator sausage po'boy is insanely delicious. Of course, you can still enjoy everything made out of normal meats, but come on... eat some friggin alligator. We're on the top of the food chain for a reason people.

I ordered over the phone for pick up for 3 of us. each of us a meal and a couple of appetizers. because my subtotal was 106.32, tax 9.52, (over 100.00) I was charged an extra 15.95 on top of my bill. bringing my total for 3 people to 131.79. I didn't dirty a table, occupy. any space, or ask for any table service, yet charged almost 16.00 because I ordered too much!!!! I'm not even sure if the food was good because I suddenly lost my appetite. what kind of business penalizes people for takeout that adds up over 100.00? I would never patronize this joint again.

Read my words: Go here, no ifs ands or buts. Skipped the buffet and ordered off the menu. Fried pickles, pressed cajun (their take on a pressed cuban) and the chicken & andouille gumbo were phenomenal. Hard stop, no need for my usually long review. Check it out and thank me later.

I was by myself, so I sat at the bar. Had a lovely conservation with the man and his wife next to me. I really enjoyed my food (massive servings!) and the drink was very strong and tasted great. The service is what leads me to not give 5 stars. While she was nice, she seemed too busy and was never super attentive. I never got the water I asked for when I first sat down and I had to request utensils. Overall, I'd go back!

An unexpected find in the New Orleans suburb of Belle Chasse. Not fancy but GREAT FOOD! The menu is quite interesting with lots of options for ways to serve all the local seafood from crab and corn bisque and chicken and andouille gumbo, to boils of various ingredients, seasonal specials (oysters and soft shelled crab now), and even some tasty, spicy chicken and beef offerings. They have a variety of great local beers on tap served with interesting dips. We tried the spicy spinach and cheese dip with freshly made tortilla chips. We ended it up with delicious bread pudding. Always superb, we've been here three times now and everything is amazing. The all you can eat crabs and fixings lures is in every time offering snow, blue and Dungeness crabs. Fixings include smoked sausage, boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes. It's a seafood lovers dream!!

We just moved to Belle Chasse and stopped here for some authentic food and both my husband and I LOVED the food. We ordered oysters, the crawfish corn chowder, and soft shell crab. All of it was perfect and we left STUFFED. We will definitely be back!!

Had charbroiled oysters. They were overcooked, very little garlic butter and overwhelmed mounds of commercially shredded Parmesan Cheese. There was so much cheese, it was the only flavor you tasted and it charred on the shell edges to carbon. Interesting flavor combination burnt Parmesan. Also they do not have a glass of water you must buy a bottle of water at $1.75. The wait staff wasn't very good either. Will never go back

This was the best food I'm have had on this vacation. Debbie our server was even better than the food. I feel like we ordered everything on the menu and EVERYTHING was well seasoned fresh and delicious. Can't wait to come again.

I'm only giving 4 stars because we were there for a buffet that they decided not to have this day. So, I'm from Illinois by way of Mississippi. So whilst I'm southern I'm mostly northern. With that said, my food was delicious. lol. I was shopping up my gumbo with my po' bread whilst sipping on my lemonade. The friends I went with were natives. They weren't quite as happy with their food. I believe one was so disappointed that they weren't having the buffet that she didn't recover. Overall, the food is good. And I would take any of my visiting friends.

We decided to try this place because the Yelp reviews looked good! Don't believe the hype, we order the raw, charbroiled oysters, the spring rolls, boiled seafood, and fried pickles... everything was alright but nothing spectacular! The boiled seafood was a big disappointment! So yeah don't do that one... my friend ordered the crab cake pasta and that was meh! So on that note may the odds be ever in your favor...

Great place for seafood, had the boiled crawfish and shrimp platter. Seasoned just right.
