We were SO happy here. It is a beautiful and well maintained hotel. We needed to extend our stay by two days. They were only able to accommodate one of the days and we were so BUMMED to have to leave.
We got a corner room with a beautiful view of Yokohama. The bed was comfy, the AC worked perfectly and I loved having the desk and make-up mirror for getting ready. Also, this place is SO QUIET. I NEVER heard any neighbours. They also leave a ton of toiletries and have large pump bottles for hand/face soap, shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Also I never knew how much I could love the toilet seat warmer. Sure the room is small, but it is not cramped. I would say its the perfect size for our needs. Due to our extension, we had to change rooms on our last day. We were able to leave our luggage in our room and housekeeping moved it to our new room. North American hotels could certainly learn from the Japanese!
You have the option to add on breakfast. We didn't know how much we would eat the hotel but we ended up having the breakfast buffet 3 out of 4 days. The coffee is delicious. They have a ton of different options - my favorite was the scrambled eggs, french toast (light and aerated, unlike what I am use to but in ways so much better), chocolate danishes, croissants, seafood salad, green salad with wasabi dressing and yogurt with stewed strawberries. They definitely have a different take on "breakfast" because they tend to have salads and rice, things we were unused to having at breakfast. But the food was so well done and delicious, quite frankly it blows the typical Holiday Inn buffets out of the water. It is quality dishes.
Hotel Edit is in beautiful Yokohama - stunning night time views with the ferris wheel. A lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We loved the location. It is also close to a couple different subway stations, making for very easy access to Tokyo. About an hour ride into do things like the Fish Market, Harajuku, etc. It made for long days but it did not bother us. You are so mesmerized with Japan and the sceneries passing you by that it doesn't feel like a burden.
Would definitely stay here again.
