Kyomachibori Nakamura is a tonkatsu restaurant in Osaka that is known for being extremely difficult to book.
The restaurant was originally located in Senbayashi and later relocated to Kyomachibori, and it has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand.
Lunch courses are priced at ¥5,600 and ¥6,600, while dinner courses range from ¥8,800 to ¥9,900.
After finally securing a reservation, I visited for lunch. The tonkatsu was surprisingly light, with very little heaviness from the fat, making it easy to eat despite the richness you might expect.
The final curry served at the end of the meal was quite spicy and provided a strong contrast to the earlier dishes.
The overall portion size was generous, and I left feeling very full.
While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and satisfaction level make it a restaurant that feels worth the effort and cost.
