I won’t comment on the taste of the food for now, but the service was very disappointing. After we finished ordering, the staff told us that each person must order a drink. I explained that my 5-year-old child doesn’t like soft drinks and asked if we could change it to a soup instead, but they still refused. If the restaurant has such a requirement, it should be clearly written and displayed where customers can see it.
Another issue is that halfway through our meal, we were told that we had to move to the second floor in 30 minutes. If the table was not available for the whole meal, or if there was a time limit, this should have been informed before we were seated.
This is the first time I’ve experienced this kind of service in Japan. Very disappointing.
