"A Chinese herbalist by training, the owner hails from Shanghai and was spoilt by his grandpa who made him all sorts of treats. After he moved to Taiwan, he spent three years trying to recreate the most authentic pan-fried buns from memory and opened this shop in 2009. The pork buns boast soupy filling with the perfect ratio of fatty and lean meat. The veggie buns are light and flavourful, filled with bok choy, dried tofu and mushrooms." - Michelin Inspector

All the dumplings are nice and juicy. Shrimp pork were the highlight. The ones with soup inside them are all good. Sticky pepper pork rice is pretty good, but definitely tastes like a Fastfood Version. If you had a good one from a market, you know what I mean. Curry soup is kind of a cafeteria concept. It's not bad, just a fun soup for kids I guess. To summarise, come for the dumplings.

Excellent Shanghai steam bun and fried bun! Very juicy, so becareful when you bite into it. The clear noodle soul is a best combo to go with the buns.

The restaurant famous for the dumplings. We ordered 2 kinds of the dumplings, pork and leek/veggie. Both of them are really tasty and flavorful.

The taste is decent but a bit pricy ($90 for 5 pan-fried buns)

Simply amazing! One of the best pan fried buns (生煎包) I've had. Super juicy and super crunchy. Their steamed dumplings are good too. Their curry soup looks mild but actually packs quite a punch! Not the spicy kind but definitely flavorful. Price is slightly high if you compare with streetside pushcarts, but definitely reasonable for a restaurant. I would prefer them over the more famous Ding Tai Feng. More homely and less oily as compared to the more commercialized latter

I only tried the different dumplings. Loved the grilled ones with meat the most, really awesome!

When we lived close to this place, this was our stop for XiaoLongBao once a week. Now we go eat there whenever we get a chance, to get our fix of small and normal size dumplings. Little tip: try their home made SuanMeiTang (plum juice) or the RouZhongZi. All super delicious. Setting is cute and food is authentic.

It's almost 3 pm! Went inside and spotted an 8 ppl table, half occupied by a Russian visitor who just started to eat, and sat down on the other half. Then we were told to seat in an already crowded 4 ppl table when there were like 4 other 4 ppl table empty . Frustrated and humiliated, I left without saying a word. I believe the way how you treat customers is equivalent to the quality of food. If you are going to this restaurant, be careful!
