Some dishes were interesting, while others unpleasant (such as a chewy sashimi dish that never seemed to end). Service was adequate, but not to a 2 Michelin standard (I don't know if they still have the stars). For the price there are better options. Staff spoke decent enough English.

Outstanding meal at Oimatsu Kitagawa. The food was delicious, and Chef Kitagawa and his excellent sous chefs were fun and engaging. Definitely going back - the monkfish liver was out of this world!

I mistakenly made a seafood course reservation here as someone who is not very adventurous when it comes to seafood. Some of the foods I could not stomach, and passed onto my husband, like fish that I saw being breaded and fried while still alive and flopping. What I did eat was very delicious, fresh, and unique. The service was very good and they tried their best to explain dishes to me in English.

I recently ate at this venue in a group of 4 who had travelled to Japan to celebrate a special milestone and this dinner was to be the centrepiece of our holiday. We opted for the special menu at the highest price point and found it to be very underwhelming and not value for our money. All ingredients used were no doubt very fresh however across all the courses the flavours were subtle with some being just plain bland. No dish was exceptional or memorable. The service was quick and attentive as expected in a private booth however we were very dissappinted we had little interaction from the main chef or that any dishes were prepared in front of us. There was clearly room and cutting boards in front of our table and the website states that dishes are prepared in front of guests. Unfortunately for a high level special kaiseki experience I would recommend people look elsewhere.

Was good but not wow

Wonderful meal with excellent service. For non Japanese speakers this is a fine choice. Highly recommend.

ミシュラン掲載店。 季節の食材に合わせて、ウニもキャビアもあわびも高級食材も少しずつ使ったお料理を出してくれたので、目でも舌でも楽しめました。 また機会ありましたらご利用させていただきます。

ウニはミョウバン臭く　ご飯はベタつき　美味しいけどミシュランとはとても言えるレベルではないしこの値段でこれ？って感じでした 接客もドリンクのサーブに時間かかりすぎて　さらにホールの方が日本酒のことを理解してないので言っていることと全然違うお酒しか出てこず 味は悪くはないしそこそこいいレベルだと思いますが金額とコスパ考えたら再訪はないかな？
