"Sit down at the counter, and the calligraphy on the wall catches the eye. A gift from the chef’s mentor, it reads ‘Jikishin’, meaning ‘true heart’, a Zen exhortation to disengage from worldly attachments and maintain a pure spirit unsullied by petty distractions. The omakase set menu begins with items reflecting the chef’s experience with Kyoto cuisine, then proceeds to sushi. The beguiling texture of the sushi rice, which leaves a lingering sweetness, derives from a combination of rice from both this year’s and last year’s harvests. Sushi moulded with unwavering conviction and an honest heart." - Michelin Inspector

I acknowledged this omakase restaurant via a YouTuber who is a famous chef in Hong Kong. I had tried three omakase during this trip, in which the other two are silver awardees of “Tabelog”, which were also great omakase in my opinion. But, I must say, this Sushi Miura is the best amongst all! Exceptionally well of the fresh fish they used, masterclass of the chef’s skill, courteous service and cozy environment. I and my wife enjoyed the dinner very much! We will definitely return in our next Tokyo journey! Arigadou!

Dinner at Sushi Miura was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. My wife and I are in Japan for our honeymoon, and this was our first omakase experience since our arrival. We love omakase dinners in NYC so we were super excited to finally indulge in an authentic experience here in Japan. Chef Kenta Miura is a master at his craft, and it’s evident he takes great pride in his work. His sous chef, whose name I regrettably let slip from my mind, was also fantastic and a pleasure to converse with. His English was great, and I wish I had known more Japanese then but I did my best to speak to him in his native language as well as a sign of respect. The meal leaves nothing to be desired, and upon hearing that my wife and I were there on our honeymoon, we received a complimentary dessert with candles and a little note which was very thoughtful and certainly an above and beyond gesture given all the food they had just provided. It’s obvious they care about their customers, but even so without this kind gesture. Upon leaving, I used the bathroom and when I walked out I couldn’t find my coat in the closest. Come to find out, Chef Miura was outside with it waiting to say goodbye to my wife and I. Having lived in America my whole life, I have never experienced this type of kindness and it blew me and my wife away. What may be the norm here is certainly not where I come from, and it speaks volumes to his character. While most people will not read this review all the way through, it would feel like a travesty not to mention every little detail that made this night unforgettable.

A traditional 8 seat sushi restaurant with a modern twist. Edomae style sushi with the chef's own interpretation and creativity demonstrated through the omakase course. The staff are friendly and reservations can be made online in English. Definitely worth a visit (reservations only) if you are eager to experience an authentic sushi omakase experience in Tokyo.

One of the best Omakase experiences I've had, as a non native speaker Chef Miura and his staff made the experience very comfortable and provided some great entertainment throughout the meal. The food was amazing and you could tell Chef Miura puts a lot of care into his craft! My personal highlight was the hand roll and the tiger prawn, and honorable mention to the white fish with fish liver, a very pleasant surprise.

Can’t praise this place enough! The mackerel, sea bream, sea urchin and squid were highlights but truly it’s the best sushi (and one of the best meals) we’ve ever had-my partner was almost moved to tears by how good it was! A lady dining with us even bought us a glass of excellent sake which made for a perfect evening! We’d absolutely try to come back

I booked this place for dinner on my Japan holiday. The reviews were very positive and I love my omakase and have been to many. This place is on the more expensive side - Booked a 6PM session for my wife and I. The restaurant seats 8 people and the food was amazing. From the first dish to the last dish. I have no negative feedback. The service was exceptional. I will definitely be back

Amazing Omakase dinner. A restaurant I should go every time I go to Tokyo. Great food and service. Highly recommend. It is so good to know they just got Michelin 1 star this October. Congratulations!

Looks like a fish shop at the entrance, but pass through to the comfortable, elegant dining room for a delicious meal. Stand out beautiful ceramics throughout. Expertly prepared, flavorful omakase and well-selected sakes. Reasonably priced for upscale dining. Limited English, but warm service nonetheless.
