This place completely blew me away. The stuffed fried chicken was unlike anything I’ve ever had the skin came out perfectly crispy, and then you cut it open to find the inside packed with this rich, savory mushroom stuffing that paired beautifully with the juicy meat. It’s the kind of dish that makes you stop mid bite just to appreciate what’s going on. The sides were just as impressive. The seasoned rice had this deep, aromatic flavor, with just the right balance of texture and seasoning. And that cucumber side dish? Fresh, spicy, tangy, with a crunch from the toppings that kept me going back for more. Everything felt carefully thought out, no shortcuts. The vibe inside was fun and laid-back, and I loved the small details like the scissors at the table, which made sharing the chicken a breeze. Service was friendly and quick without ever feeling rushed. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual fried chicken, this spot delivers an experience that sticks with you. Already planning my next visit.

This is a rather not well know to tourist but I saw this place being featured in a YouTube video once and had to give it a try. The roast chicken here was sooo good. It was roasted well and the chicken still retained all the moisture. Even the breast meat was juicy. The chicken was filled with a mushroom filling and along with the roasted garlic, it was a nice accompaniment to the chicken itself. Another must order at this place is the crispy chicken pancake. This was literally fried chicken and this was even nicer than the roast chicken. Do give it a try.

This place is near our accommodation. So we decided to eat at Obang Tongdak. What we ordered: 📍Obong set 5⭐ - this set consists of their famous chicken and a lot of side dishes such as kimchi, garlic rice, kimchi cucumber, eggs and alot🤣 We were only 2pax and this order is bit for us. We should've ordered just the chicken but nonetheless we really enjoyed our meal. They also have a free beer promo for Naver review. However, I'm having difficulty signing up my naver account🙄. Suggestion: they have an aircondition area upstairs. Choose that option because there are some mosquito downstairs especially during the night.

Delicious chicken, super moist and flavorful, 3 amazingly tasty contrasting dips for the meat. Free roasted barley tea. Bowl of noodles with seaweed and tofu went very nicely too. Highly recommended!

First time here. It’s not far from line 2 train station. The chicken is a must try if you’re in Seoul. It is really unique as it is stuffed served with different sauce. There are sets that you can order to try as well so you could have a complete meal.

Food is awesome, even for the other dishes such as the tteokbokki apart from the golden chicken. Definitely must try the golden roast chicken. Kids said one of the best eating places from the Seoul trip. Thanks to the YouTube video from Zermatt Neo, hence the family was able to find out this authentic neighbourhood hidden gem. The decor of the place itself is of those Korean neighbourhood eatery or perhaps it is just like that. According to locals this is actually the area for beef bbq rather than chicken 😆 Easily reached from Myeongdong area through Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station. Just 4 stops away and alight at Sindang Station. Thereafter walk through the Central Seoul Market (picture attached), out of the market cross the road and you will reach the eatry about another 5 minutes or less of walking time. Do take time to explore this smaller Central Seoul market, much quieter and less crowded than the bigger Gwangjang Market. Didn't find any tourist at all in this market except for my family. Seems quite a number of good food to try also in this market based on the number of locals eating there. Will definitely visit again if in Seoul.
