Lalo!

Fun and good, casual concept by a chef of note.

Mercado De Artesanias La Ciudadela

Market · Tabacalera

Cool market (there are lots of cool markets, this one just happens to be near much of the other places we visited)

Panaderia Rosetta

Bakery · Roma Norte

Traditional panaderia, there is a mango pastry that is *chef's kiss*.

Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo

Museum · San Ángel Inn

The connected homes/studios of Diego and Frida, very cool to see!

Casa Gilardi

Art museum · Lomas de Chapultepec

Luis Barragan's home, a cool and accessible "museum" experience, very inspiring!

Arena México

Arena · Doctores

We saw a night of Lucha Libre wrestling here and it was really fun!

Gallery OMR

Art center · Roma Norte

Great gallery for contemporary Mexican art

Onora

Store · Chapultepec Morales

Beautiful housewares

Baltra Bar

Cocktail bar · Hipodromo

Incredible cocktails, cozy.

Masala & Maiz

Restaurant · Tabacalera

Recommended by Simon's sister who was there in January, she said it was a must-dine for dinner!

Xochimilco

Farmers Market · Belen

This is this incredible network of canals that have floating gardens throughout. We were able to take the subway there, and then you can rent a private boat (comes with a captain), float around and buy treats from floating treat boats, listen to the mariachi bands that drift by and just generally relax and enjoy. Very charming!
