"What were your first impressions when you arrived?   Off a residential street, Niddo Café is an achingly cute, Instagram-friendly café by the mother-son duo Eduardo and Karen Plaschinski. Drenched in powder pink tiles, chic design, with a plant filled front patio, a handful of tables and chairs outside and a few in. Lots of ladies in over-sized sunglasses with their lap-dogs chat over lemonade; everyone is glued to their phones to catch a shot of their chocolate babkas, oatmeal cookies, and oat-milk lattes with foam hearts. What’s the crowd like?   The Niddo group (Niddo, Niddo Café, Niddo Ventana, Cachie's Bagels) has anchored their mini-empire in Juarez and have now smartly jumped to Polanco, tapping into an upscale market who won't bat an eye over their prices. What should we be drinking?   Juice, coconut water, sparkling water, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages. Main event: the food. Give us the lowdown—especially what not to miss.   Their pastry case is appropriately stacked with giant cookies, brownies, cakes laden with flower petals and pristine berries, cheesecake squares heavy with frosting, and gorgeously sugary eye-candy.
