15 Best Spas in New York City | Condé Nast Traveler

"BATHHOUSE has been a longtime wellness hub for stylish Brooklynites and in-the-know visitors, but thanks to its new second location in the heart of Flatiron, the chic subterranean spa is now reaching a whole new clientele. Fans of the Williamsburg original know BATHHOUSE as the 6,500-square-foot oasis of thermal pools and saunas housed in the basement of a 1930’s brick factory. The Flatiron space, however, takes a more modern approach to its design, transforming the former underground parking garage into a sleek, 35,000-square-foot, 21 st -century bath house and wellness center. The new BATHHOUSE has a total of six pools (two cold plunges, two hot pools, one neutral pool, and one salt pool), a Russian-style Banya, an 800-square foot dry sauna, an infrared sauna, and a steam room. And if spending a day hopping between these facilities isn’t already treatment enough, visitors can book a number of services, including a full-body massage, a hammam scrub, and the Hero’s Journey, which combines all of BATHHOUSE’s treatments into one all-inclusive experience." - Gabby Shacknai
