"I stayed in the Wellbeing Suite at Park Hyatt Chicago on the Magnificent Mile the night before and after a half marathon, and the space felt more like a very upscale apartment — a large living area with a Lake Michigan view, a Tonal machine, a minimalist zen-like bedroom with a Bryte Balance bed, yoga mat and bench, and a massive bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and standalone tub. On arrival I found juice shots, nuts, and fresh fruit, which felt like a major upgrade; in-suite services included an in-room DripIV administered by a registered nurse (vitamins B12 and C, Magnesium, Lipostat, and Glutathione) that I found quick and mostly painless, produced a cooling/taste sensation as it infused, and seemed to reduce my postrace creakiness within hours (Stephanie said effects last 24–36 hours). I also had an 80-minute Grounded massage at the hotel’s NoMI Spa that used heated basalt stones and a heated table, with focused work on my neck, shoulders, lower back, and legs; afterwards the spa offered juice or Prosecco and access to the sauna and indoor pool. Back in my suite I used an ice bath (a short cold-plunge protocol; the hotel charges about $100), which felt instantly invigorating and helped wake me up without wetting my hair. Note that bookings for these services must be made within three business days of your stay (Drip Hydration has a 24-hour cancellation policy), and prices listed in the piece were $275 for the 80-minute spa massage ($315 in-room) and DripIV options starting at $249. Overall, the combination of in-room IV, a grounded heated-stone massage, and an ice bath left me moving normally much sooner than usual after a half." - Madison Flager
