Brooklyn Bowl Nashville — Music Venue Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Big picture: What’s the vibe of the place, what’s it like? As its name suggests, this is the Nashville outpost of the popular New York music venue. The vibe is modern and universal, as you’d expect from a New York transplant, and offers a bar on each level and bowling lanes on each level. Unlike the Eastside Bowl, where there is bowling in the same building, but is not actually visible from the music venue, at Brooklyn Bowl the lanes and the venue are together. You can see the concert on screens over the bowling alley. If you are at the show, you can occasionally hear some pins drop, but thanks to good acoustics, the noise isn’t really a distraction. What kinds of events can we see here? The focus is on live music shows—some up-and-comers and some folks with loyal followings. The lineup is heavy on rock, but you’ll also catch some country and Americana in there, plus the occasional benefit show. How are the seats? Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is standing-room only on the first floor. The balcony level offers seating, and, yes, there’s a bar on each level. The venue is ADA compliant and accommodates needs on request. Good for kids? Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is standing-room only on the first floor. Anything in particular that makes this place special, from the programming to a unique feature it has? The 1,200-person capacity venue has a reputation as a comfortable place to see a show. It can be sold out but still gives you ample room to maneuver to the bathroom and back. Acoustics are good. There’s space to wait for a ride share out front, and ample parking lots around. Hearing protection is sold in gumball machines. Staff has gone through Safe Bar training, to help reduce the incidence of sexual harassment and assault.
