What a great little gem just a few miles from the Nashville Clay Shooting Complex. If you are there for a competition, put this place on your list for lunch or dinner. I think it's probably a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Nashville, definitely worth it.
Now for the good stuff, the FOOD! Great selection of food, check out their menu. I got the Brisket fries, my wife got a burger, my son got the brisket sandwich. The fries are freshly cut and then fried, NOT frozen crap. Were lightly salted and seasoned. I ate most of my son's(he doesn't really like fries). My entree had a base of fries, covered with a generous amount of brisket and bacon, topped off with an onion ring and BBQ sauce. I skipped the Carolina sauce, but I tried my wife's, and instantly regretted not getting it. I think it would have greatly complimented the BBQ sauce. Next time! My wife said the burger was good and my son loved the brisket sandwich. Both looked great. The bigger pieces of brisket easily pulled apart and were delicious. I never use BBQ sauce on my meat, so I can't really speak to it, but seemed to have a little heat to it, and tasted good with everything.
Service was great, we were greeted when we walked in, and they answered our questions when we ordered. Young lady also checked in on us after we started eating. Interior was very clean and modern. Had good music playing in the background, not too loud. They have some outdoor seating as well.
Bottom line: 3 entrees, 3 drinks $50. Great deal for fresh, delicious food. Skip the fast food, spend like $10 more, for a QUALITY meal and support an obvious small, local business. We can't wait for the next competition to come back.
